How much is a White's Metal Detector?? I want a 6000D White's Metal Detector, but I have no idea how much it is for a brand new one. Anyone have a good answer for me? I couldn't find the 6000D on their web site but here's a link to White electronics. http://hobby.us.whiteselectronics.com/

Does big valley metal detectors sell white's metal detectors and what do you think of them? hi, i am going on a trip to sacramento and placerville-lake tahoe for a few weeks, and want to get a detector when i get up there. i have read about big valley metal detecotrs in some forums, and i do want to do business with someone really good. i want to get an mxt or a gmt, i think. i have had a little trouble with calling overthere, cuz i don't want to be overheard, it's a surprise. does anyone know anything about that can help me. It looks like they do. But they are not in Sacramento, they are in Citrus Heights, a little way from Sacramento.

Can a metal detector find my white gold wedding band in the grass? I lost my wedding band (white gold with diamonds) in a patch of grass next door to my house. I've looked and looked and looked yet, nothing. I can not find it. So I'm thinking of renting a metal detector. But, can such a device find it? Don't metal detectors only locate ferrous metals? What should I do? Any advice would be great. My wife is in tears. yes, metal detectors will find gold, silver, as well as cheaper metals...
I would suggest that you find a local treasure hunters club, ask if someone could help you find the ring.
EVERY treasure hunter that I know would be willing to help for no fee, just for the fun of the hunt. I would be very cautious of someone that wanted to charge you money.
How to find a club: call the White's Electronics number, they will put you in touch with a LOCAL dealer. Call the local dealer and tell him/her of your plight.

Who has better metal detectors, Whites or Garrets? With over 30 years of metal detecting experience, I prefer White's over Garrett. The unique tone of the Garrett detectors I used seemed to distract me. Side by side, the comparable models of each are typically about the same as far as features and depth capability. White's are just my personal preference.

Tesoro(treasure) metal detectors? tesoro metal detector owners only!? So I was wondering if the tesoro metal detectors are really good or if whites,garrett,mine lab,fisher, and bounty hunters are better quality? So tell me if I did a good choice because I purchased a tesoro vaquero(in spanish treasure cowboy) metal detector. So please tell me your experiences on the tesoro detectors or other brands that you liked. If you got it for a good price then you did good! I have owned Whites and Garrett both, but I like my Tesoro best! Simple to use with good depth, super light weight so you can hunt all day!

A few questions about the metal detectors at the airport? This is my first time doing all this alone, so I'm kinda nervous, since I didn't really pay attention when my mom and I were travelling together or she was just guiding me through all this. Basically trying to say sorry if my questions seem stupid. =/ -I recently got my ears peirced (second peircing in each ear) and I'm not supposed to take my earrings out for six weeks. It's been about 3 weeks or so.. Maybe less. Would I be ok going through the metal detectors with white gold earrings? -Do I need to have anything with me when I'm going through there? Like, do I need to show my ticket to the guys in the uniforms or something (I think I remember my mom doing that, but it might have been for an international flight)? -What's the worst thing to wear while flying? Yes, I fly a lot, but I haven't been on a plane for a year. =/ I kinda forgot everything. -(Probably a question only girls can answer) Do Pink (from VS) sweatpants have metal on them that I should watch out for? earrings are fine ( i was in the same boat last time i flew)
you need to have your boarding pass and id out, like a drivers license. if you dont have your license like me, a school id works just fine.
i typically wear sweatpants and a hoodie or jeans and a hoodie, something comfy. if i need to look decent for wherever im going once i land, i put the clothes i will need at the top of my suitcase and then change in the airport bathroom as soon as i get my luggage
pink sweats do not have metal on them, as far as i know of.

I have purchased a Whites DFX metal detector. This is my first detector , have I started with too complex det. You just need to use it and be ready to do lots of digging."You will need a good trowl".It's all fun don't give up on it I have one and it takes time.You need to go to a area that is clean from most trash, like out in a field.Practice by throwing out some coins and go find them,then bury some and find them.Look at the different readings and listen to the sounds each coin makes.You wouldn't believe how many old coins,rings,tokens I have found.Once you get the hang of it you will love your DFX

whites coinmaster metal detector? is it a good machine? it's an older one i am thinking about buying Whites brand is the best you can buy.
I don't own any metal detector, myself, but I have several friends who are "in" to using metal detectors on a regular basis. They all have Whites brand, and they all 'swear' by it.
That tells me more than any other advertisement or endorsement, etc.

Teens: does your school have metal detectors? Well I was bored a few nights ago at 2am and this cheer-leading movie came on. This posh, "white girl" goes to a new school with a mostly black population of kids in the high school. But when she went in you had to go through those airport things and get the metal detector thing. I've heard there's actually schools like this! .___.
