My Solar Return Part of Fortune is in Virgo conjunct Juno in the 5th house. What does this mean? My moon is also in Virgo in the 5th house, though 10* away. Any thoughts or knowledge you can throw my way? If you attempt to separate the components of the Solar Return, you won't get how to handle what you're seeing. Here's something I wrote a few months ago:
The Solar Return Ascendant falls in a particular natal house, changing each year. That house's interests are often the main focus of the coming year as a result.
1) After determining into which house the Solar Return Ascendant falls, look at the chart strictly with the Solar Return as the focus. Remove the natal chart for now.
2) What is the ruler of this "new" chart? What house does the Sun fall in? That too will play a role, of course, since this chart is based on the moment the Sun has returned to the exact degrees and minutes where it was at birth.
3) Focus on the hard aspects as well as the dominant positioning of the planets. Hard aspects will be the main focus of the Solar Return. They are the energy. Soft aspects tend to create a pretty "dull" year. ;)
4) If the majority of planets are above the horizon, the native is more likely to respond to events in a way others will notice. If the majority of planets are below the horizon, the native will more likely play it pretty close and reveal little or nothing. Note the Eastern and Western dominance. Eastern indicates that the individual will tend to be more independent in contrast to the Western dominance which will make the native tend to wait for things to happen.
Consider all of the above when you see how your natal chart aligns with the Solar Return chart, noting where the hard aspects of your natal chart might be triggered as well based on any planets from the Solar Return chart. For example, if you have a T-square in the natal chart, and you see a Solar Return planet forming a Grand Cross with that T-square because the Solar Return planet is filling in the missing space, or if the Solar Return planet is sitting very tightly in place on one of the planets on the T-square to re-form the T-square, this will be a significant point you want to note.
