deco lite candle utility lighter butane refill instructions? deco lite candle utility lighter butane refill instructions. It is a white lighter with pull here at the bottom. I threw away the instructions. How does it refill? Does any one know? Buy a can of butane fuel,for lighters. Remove plug,turn upside down,insert nozzle and push fuel can to fill.

Anyone know how to refill a deco lite utility lighter? It is off white and has a black peice at the bottom that says pull, it pulls out a little, but I do not know what to do next. It can be used to light candles and grills, and firelogs. I think you just get a can of butane and refill it at that bottom piece you are talking about. Me? When mine quit working I just buy a new one, they only cost a couple of bucks. They sure are handy little things aren't they? No more burning your thumb by turning your Bic lighter upside down trying to light a candle.

Strange smell coming from the utility room...?!? we have been living in this flat for 2months now and the smell that comes from the utility room just doesnt seem to shift... i burn candles and spray air freshner. But it smells terrible in there and it leads off the living room so id really like to get rid of it! In the room we have the washing machine and freezer, we have no fresh food or anything that will perish... so i am just totally confused if i honest!! any ideas?? Do you have a floor drain in there? If so --- It's probably coming from that. Just poor a little bleach into the drain and it will kill that stink!

Can I use a utility cart for powder room decor? Need some opinions/advice? That is very cool looking. If your shelves are open like the one shown, you might have glass cut the size of your shelf so nothing would fall threw. I would use the handles to hang towels on, use more chrome in your room, like a waste paper basket, get a bigger bucket and out your excess toilet paper rolls in,get chrome plated container for your orchids, and tooth brush holder and candle holders. Hand a few crystals on your pots, like the ones for a chandelier for sparkle. Have fun.

Do Yankee Candles have a long shelf life? I have a ton of candles and was just wondering if they will go bad or if the scent will fade over time. I keep my candles inside my storage cabinets in my utility room,which is dark and at room temp. Of course the lids are on them tight too. That is the only candles I buy because we like one scent in particular Midsummers Night. I just keep them in my kitchen but it is a strong scent and I have had some for years. The scent does not go away. I think it depends on the scent.

My last quarterly electricity bill was £404. Is that normal, and how can I get more energy smart ? I've just spent an hour properly sorting though my utility statments to find I've been charged £404 for electricity for January to March 2007. It was around £350 for the quarter before and around £280 for Autumn quarter. Checking my bills £404 is like more than double what I was paying four years ago. We live in a normalish semi-detatched in an area of the UK which is generally mild weather. My estimated gas bill for the next 12 months is £710, and council tax £1800-ish pa. Don't have water bills to hand but its all getting painfully expensive. Please don't tell me to use candles or something. I need one of those Government type checklists for getting smart with energy useage / lower consumption if possible. Any ideas where to find something like that please? Somewhere on the bill it should say what your consumption is (KWh) and then goto some of the comparison sites like http://www.moneysupermarket.com/utilities/cheaper-gas-electricity.aspx and enter what you're using. We did it and realised the British Gas were charging us nearly double after some error with their system!! Worth a try

Where can I pick up oil lamps for indoor use that are inexpensive and still of high quality? I want to use oil and candle light at night when we are watching movies and just hanging out instead of paying the utility company for electricity. Where can I buy some plain, simple utility candles? They only need to be 3-6 inches long. I checked Wal-mart, Dollar Store, etc. and couldn't find them. Depending on where you are located, you may be able to find candles that are sold for Jewish households to light on shabbos/shabbat/Sabbath. Try looking in the kosher food section of a large grocery store. I know that at Meijer stores in my area, you can buy a box of 48 "shabbos candles" for under $10. Each one burns for about three hours or so.

Depending on your needs, tea lights can actually be a good choice for emergency use. They are the thickness of a votive candle, but a bit shorter and contained in a metal base. This base will get hot, so you need to set it on a safe surface, such as a ceramic holder. The "wax" is a kind that melts quickly into candle oil. It burns with almost no visible smoke, produces a clear, bright white flame, and burns completely, leaving no drippings.
