Deceit The silent and deadly art of misleading An art that every nation, every color, and every person understands An art that is no fad nor trend because deceit does not have time on its hands This is an art that has been perfected by so many of its fans because This art is the law of the land Deceit a.k.a. treachery, trickery, two-faced, two-timing, underhandedness is a word that seems to fill the blood of our closest friends and people wonder why there's a saying keep your friends close but your enemies closer this is why im alert with my gun out of its holster Deceit A word so small but if we take the time to take it apart you are left with story after story page after page line after line of deception and pain Deceit A word so dark and full of evilness it leaves hearts crushed; a floppy disk Deceit is a word that should be interchangeable with amidst because amidst the fake smiles fake friendship amidst the lies and betrayal Amidst the forwarded calls amidst the "my bad, i didnt know" amidst the "hey i just need some help" admist all this and you will still never know until you are all used up, that, Deceit, is An art that is truely silent and deadly It is the first draft of a poem. Be brutal...get rid of all the unnecessary words. Check to see if the grammar holds up and if the statements are true. ie I don't think deceit is a small word. 4 English class jus need lil feedback on it had 2 rite a paper describing ourselves through a simple object? Sharpie is a smooth, fat, multi-colored light up pen with a purpose. She stands at six inches tall, round with a white outside tint but having four colors to choose from; black, blue, green and red, and along the very top of Sharpie sits a pink light up bulb. Basically, Sharpie is a symbol of my personality, versatility and taking on life. Like Sharpie’s various colors so goes my personality, I do not mean to say that I am two-faced or have multiple personalities in psychotic way, but rather different roles. Sometimes I am a sister, a girlfriend, a daughter, a teammate or a friend. Like Sharpie’s pink light up bulb that can be turned on or off by a simple twist of the bulb is the way I am, I light up the lives of those around me. As an athlete Sharpie keeps me in line helping me learn where I am suppose to be on a certain offensive play, where my opposing player goes on her offense and defense. Sharpie lets me know exactly where to be defensively either one pass away, on the ball, or in help defense. A student at UMHB Sharpie travels with me to classrooms taking down notes from lecture, or proof-reading a piece of writing. With the red marks found along the pages of a paper, it informs the student of the errors that need to be corrected. Taking Sharpie with me allows me to feel prepared for anything whether it be in the classroom or in the locker room due to the varies task the she can encounter. I am a well-prepared individual that is ready for any obstacle thrown at her, I can balance multiple duties out well. Sharpie also aids me by allowing me step back and see all the red marks, the flaws, in my life. Stepping back outside myself to observe helps me to fix the mistakes that I know can be mended. As a result, I am able to help others by lighting up their life with either the side of me that is bubbly or the side that is blunt, honest. I see Sharpie as a tool in my life not only literally but in a way spiritually. Sharpie can be used to show that while our lives are being written by God we have the choice of fixing our mistakes along the way. Despite the fact that we may have a few red marks along the way does not mean they cannot be fixed. While we are all God’s children our lives do not have to be written in pure black ink, it is not what he intended. Even though a few red marks are found along the pages of our lives, there are also blue marks to show our courage, or green marks to show our hopes and dreams, or from time to time the red marks we so fear are not of mistakes but of the love that we all encounter throughout our time here. not bad i like it very touching
