No, todays taurus guns are very good, their QC and CS has improved so much. I wouldn't mind a PT1911 in 9mm myself. My friend and I shot his new PT99AF last week with amazing accuracy-taurus makes some good barrels.
If I may, you will regret .38super. I have a RIA .38super that is very accurate, but it feels just like a 9mm +P (it is more powerful, but the bad guy or boar can't tell a .380 from a .357mag) and is uber expensive to shoot and hard to find ammo. The pressures are very high as well in .38super, which kinda worries me in a standard (none ramped with poor case support) 1911 barrel design. I do recommend the 9mm version though.

Raging Judge Magnum???? Taurus makes several versions of the Raging Bull, several versions of the Judge, and lots of Magnums. Some have the double lockup cylinder, some do not. Taurus does not make a "raging judge magnum"
The Raging Bull I had, did have the system. It is a cylinder that locks into the recoil shield of the frame (that part of the frame at the rear of the cylinder), like all cylinders on revolvers do. Additionally, there is another lock at the front of the frame (just in front of the face of the cylinder). On the heavy magnums, like my .454 Casull Magnum, this system serves to strengthen the revolver.
The Judge series of revolvers does not have the double lockup cylinder.
The .41 and .44 magnums do have the system, the .357 magnum does not.

BTW: My Taurus has been great. Fired well over 1200 rounds with no problems. I had 2 no fires out of on 50 round case of monarch. This was within my first 100 rounds (bought the monarch with the gun.) Never bought monarch again... Never had the problem. Blazer, Remington, and Winchester ammo have all worked perfect.
Lots of .45s in the $350 range out there. Paid that for a Rock Island 1911. Paid $300 for a Llama Compact 1911. Paid just under $400 for a Glock 30. Shop around, deals on used guns are out there.
And personally, I wouldn't trust my life to a Taurus. Yours may work great, but I've had problems with every single one I've shot in my life.

Taurus Millenium Pro .45 hand-gun? I just bought a Taurus Millenium Pro .45 ACP. Now I have noticed on some of the "pro" models, that it will say on the left side of the slide "millenium pro". Mine doesn't. It just say "millenium", but on the other side, it says, "pt 145 pro". Does that mean I have the pro model?
It does have 10+1 capacity, and the loaded chamber indicator on the slide.

I have a Taurus .45 and I was happy with both accuracy and the power. But today I got myself a Ruger Blackhawk .44 magnum...much more power, and more accurate. I frankly love it. The .44 mag impact I like, and the ruger's grip/feel, accuracy, etc. is very satisfying.

Well. what a question. With caliber, you of course have many factors, this also could include how many rounds you can hold in a single mag...or maybe your .44 blackhawk cylinder. I like the .40 overall. Ive shot .45 and 9mm in the military, and i hated those 9 mils. Here is why I like the .40
I am more accurate with a .40 than I am with any other handgun caliber. I use to think that I had a good shot with a Glock BUT. I shot the Springfield XD .40 and whoooh. Boy was that a good shot. Ive never shot a better series of shots than I did with that XD. The recoil allows you to re-aquire your target more quickly than if I were to shoot a .44 MAG. Its not heavy at all. and the lightness of the weapon doesnt give you that big recoil. If you took a 50 cal sniper rifle. and made it out of plastic...your going to have the most rediculous shot you have ever felt. bigger calibers need more weight to help compensate for the recoil like it or not. The .40 is the perfect combo. Thats my opinion. Ammo is cheap to reload....
