An end is one quiver's worth of shooting, there are many different types of round. The word 'end' comes from the old days, way back when, I'm talking about back in the medieval ages, when archers shoot they have target bales on both ends of the field to maximize shooting time. So when all archers has finished shooting their quivers, the command to retrieve arrows was to 'change ends'. They'll walk to the target bale and shoot from the other end of the field. A round is several ends put together. A FITA outdoor round for instace consists of 36 ends, 12 ends for the long distance part with 6 arrows per end, and 24 ends for the short distance part with 3 arrows per end. Then there's the FITA 300 round, the 900 round, field round, Olympic round etc.
2. Unlike the FITA target with a maximum score of 10, the NFAA target has a maximum value of 5. So a 300 round in the NFAA uses 60 arrows instead of 30. The NFAA 5 ring is also about the size of the FITA 9 ring.

define a function called main.
create a series of graphics primitives target_*
define a function called arrow that returns a reference to itself.
using a series of if's check to see if the function arrow is the same as each of the graphics primitives (always false)
try to print an undefined variable x--which should throw an exception
I'm not familiar with graphics so can't help if there is a syntax error there. My guess is this is an exercise in looping so the tasks should be more like:
Define a arrow function that takes a window (win) as an argument, waits for a mouse click and returns a point value.
Define a function that creates the window and circles and returns the window (win).
Define a main function that calls the function to create a window, loops five times calling the arrow function ( x = arrow(win) ) and printing the result and adding it to the sum.
Call main()
There may be a function that returns whether the point returned from getMouse(win) is inside a Circle. If so you would need to pass the Circles from window creation to the arrow function. Assuming this is not the case you need to determine how far from (250,250) the point is to determine the point value. That is given a center xo,yo a point x,y is math.sqrt((x-xo)**2,(y-yo)**2) from the center. Perhaps a better way to do the if's is then:

elif x<=100:
... x=7
..and so on to..
elif x<=250:
... x=1
else:
... x=0

I need to build an archery scorer. i can build the target but i cant figure out how to get the program to score 5 mouse clicks in the target and the program should output a score for each click and keep track of a running sum for the entire series. score starts as a 9 for bullseye and minus 2 points as the rings go out the final ring is worth 1 point. 5 rings. Area of middle: 400pi-100pi=300pi
Area of outer: 900pi-400pi-100pi=400pi.
Sum = 800pi.
probability of inner = 100pi/800pi = 1/8.
probability of middle = 300pi/800pi = 3/8.
probability of outer = 400pi/800pi = 1/2.
two ways to get 110: 50-50-10, or 50-30-30.
50-50-10 has probability (1/8)*(1/8)*(4/8)=4/512, times 3 because there are 3 ways to arrange the 10.
50-30-30 has probability (1/8)*(3/8)*(3/8)=9/512, times 3 because there are 3 ways to arrange the 50.
answer=12/512 + 27/512 = 39/512

How to fine the averages in Archery? So, i have test coming up on how to find the average end score, average arrow score, and average target ring score for archery. Anyone know how to? You take your total for the end or the match and divide it by the number of arrows you've shot.
So take a regular FITA match, it's 144 arrows, and you shoot a 1200. Average score for the match is then 1200/144 = 8.3
An end in archery varies, an NFAA indoor end consists of 5 arrows, an NAA indoor end has 3 arrows, NAA outdoor end uses 6 arrows for the long distance portion.

Is 298 with 36x a good score for a beginner in archery? I have been shooting for 1 mounth and I am wondering if these are good scores 1. 298 with 36x on a 5 point target 2.365 on a 3d course with 40 targets im 16 298 on a five spot is fantastic.
