Weapon mounted light? What size mount do I need for a Surefire G2 or a Surefire Z2 for my AR? I was thinking of a mount from CAA. Also, can I use 1 inch scope rings? There are weapon mount kits for such lights and most lights come with a mount per specs. One inch is a standard mount.

dorcy LED flashlight i have a LED dorcy flashlight that runs at 110 lumens with 3 AAA batteries. i know a AAA has 950 mah and i want to know how it outpreforms my surefire G2 LED at 80 lumens on 2 3v cr123a batteries. i know it has to do with the efficiency of the bulb which has a yellow tint to it so i can run on the 4.5v source. finnally i want to how i can tell how long a battery will run at a surtain voltage. or if you need to know the wattage and how do mah,volts,watts interweve in this subject. You need the wattage or the current before you can make any comparisons, and even that won't tell you how long the battery will last unless you have the capacities of the batteries.
If you know the current, you can multiply by the voltage to get the wattage.
To find the actual capacity of the batteries, get the amp-hr number, which may or may not be available, and multiply by the battery voltage to get watt-hours.
With battery capacity in watt-hrs, and lamp power in watts, you can divide to get hours of life.
One problem is that amp-hr capacities are only approximate, and vary with current level.

Which flashlight is best? Hey guys I'm looking to buy a good quality flashlight. i was looking at the surefire G2 Nitrolon for 40 bucks. it says you can tempoaraly blind some one cus it has 65 lumens. But i just saw a flashlight from Tactical Operations for 20 bucks and here is what it has. Lumens are meaningless if you want to blind someone with it. Look for the spec in candlepower. A good blinding spotlight will be rated for 2 - 3 milliion candlepower.
Me, I've been using Mag-Lites for over 20 years. They're powerful, reliable, durable, and long-lasting. The 3 D-cell, and especially the 4 D-cell ones will trigger the daylight sensor on streetlights and turn them off. And the 2-AA pocket flashlights are extremely portable and convenient.

Has anyone used the new Elzetta ZFH1500 flashlight mount for night varmint hunting with an AR15 or M4? I am looking to equip my AR15 with a flashlight for night time varmint hunting. The Elzetta flashlight holder looks like a great product for less than $30. Add a $36 Surefire light and you should be all set for under 70 bucks. Can't beat that.

How much can I get out of my Norinco SKS? I have a Norinco sks. Its the one wiht the thumbhole stock and it accepts ak mags. Chrome lined barrel with a tri rail and a surefire G2. I was wondering how much i could sell it for to a pawn shop or in the newspaper. i want as much as i can get. thanks its either the sks model d, or m,
Model D rifles used military style stocks and had bayonet lugs (although some were imported minus bayonet, and a small few minus the lug in order to meet changing US import restrictions).
Model M rifles had no bayonet lug and used either a thumbhole or Monte Carlo–style stock and a short paratrooper length barrel
Both model D and M used AK-47 magazines and as a result had no bolt hold open feature on the rifle.

cane toad cadet, sorry sir i believe your wrong, model m and d were both avaible with the shorter barrel, no ds came with the thumbhole stock, so if it came with a thumbhole stock its an model m, the d with the short barrel is commonly called the cowboy companion, the m denoted modified, modified for the assualt weapons ban, which is why most are thumbhole stocks, without a bayo and bayo lug, with it also why their aks became mak90, Modified AK 1990, for the 1989 import ban on assualt weapons.

With it ill be selling 4 30 round mags, 2 20 rounders, tri rail, 4-30 tactical scope, surefire G2 nitrolon, and a red laser. All together how much could I get for it say selling it out of my local paper? Thanks guys! Put a price tag of $650 on it and take no less than $500 for it.
