Why is my streamlight doing this? okay, yet another dumb question by me. I dropped my stream light stinger last night (AGAIN) and it started... well being weird. I cant turn it off, but it will go off when I put it on the charger. When its off the charger, it goes from dim, to medium, to bright, to medium, to dim and so on. Wtf is going on here? these flashlights are supposed to be amazing. This is like the 3rd time Ive dropped it, and it only fell from the car seat, not my belt(I have a shitty holder. Anyone know where I can get one that actually fits? I need basket weave) Anyway, I took it apart and put it back together and it still wont not do it... Is there some reset button I have to push? help! I got it in January, so my warranty is still good. I dont want to send it back yet. Has anyone ever had this problem? help! Haven't had any issues with mine. If it's still under warranty just send it back in. It sounds like when you dropped it, it broke. Going to have to get a new one. Make sure you have a replacement in the mean time!

What is a better flashlight: The "Streamlight Stinger XT" or the "Streamlight Ultra Stinger"? Which one is brighter? Which one is more durable? Which one has a longer battery life? Led flashlight or tactical flashlight,If you want to get more imformation and buy an advanced flashlight, I will be happy to recommend a site for you.

airsoft help what should I get? ok I was wondering if I should buy a airsoft m. 28 assault rifle replica wick includes: laser sight, flashlight, and aesthetic scope. it is blot action and has215 fps.or an stinger r34 with a laser sight andhas full auto and semi capabilitys with 300 fps. please give full anwsers and thoughts that sounds okay but looks arent everything. i say go with the thompson sub machine gun airsoft replica. 300 something fps and and shoots fast

I like the Streamlight Ultra Stinger. What are YOUR thoughts i had a makita flashlight, it uses a rechargeable drill battery, they work pretty decent i use it for hunting it is really bright.

Are LED flashlight batteries different from regular ones? I just bought some STINGER flashlights one LED one didnt have a battery so i bought one from eBay and the light is only strobing (flashing) is this a problem with the battery or actual device?

Bee sting on my foot very irritated? I stepped on a bee like, 2 days ago. We got the stinger out and put some ice on it so it would stop stinging...I looked with a flashlight and I'm pretty sure the whole stinger is out.But then at night the sting sight started itching,and when i scratched it the itching gets a million times worse,it's practically agonizing it's the worst itch I have ever experienced, it almost brought me to tears! The only way I can clam it down to it's normal,half way bearable itch level is to run my foot under cold water until it goes numb.I have tried putting lanacane and benedryl cream on it but it just made it irritated. The sting site is swollen (the arch of my foot) I don't think it's an allergic reaction because if I were allergic to bees the reaction would have been a lot worse I think. But is this normal? And does anyone have any idea what might help stop this maddening itch? Also when the itch starts to really act up,while I'm scratching the sting sit the itch seems to spread to the top of my foot or near my ankle, maybe thats just in my head but it is still extremely itchy!!!! Please help?! You are not allergic. had you been, the itch is the least you would have worried about. While an epipen would be most commonly used, I suggest you don't use it for the time being.
The toxin is irritating you. All yu need to to do is dab a little turmeric and coconut oil together and you should be okay in 6 hours and next day, it should be totally gone.

What is the difference between the Streamlight Stinger and Polystinger flashlights? What is the difference between the Streamlight Stinger and Polystinger flashlights? Particularly the DS versions? There are actually two versions of the Stinger and Polystinger. The original versions use bulbs, and the newer versions use LEDs. There are four variations: Stinger LED, Stinger DS LED, PolyStinger LED, Polystinger DS LED. The DS stands for Dual-Switch. This means that there is both a switch on top of the flashlight and on the tail cap. The Stinger LED and PolyStinger LED just have a switch on the top of the light, not one of the tail cap. All of the Stinger series lights, whether they are LED or bulbs, use the same charger holders and cords, so you can reuse them between lights. These Stinger lights also use the same rechargeable battery stick. As far as the technical difference, here's some more detail:
Polystinger: 7.4" long, 8.7 oz, 125 lumens
Polystinger LED: 8" long, 11.5 oz, 185 lumens
Polystinger DS LED: 8.64" long, 11.9 oz, 185 lumens
Stinger: 7.38" long, 10 oz, 125 lumens
Stinger LED: 8.4" long, 12.4 oz, 160 lumens
Stinger DS LED: 8.85" long, 12.8 oz, 160 lumens
The Polystinger lights are also made from a nylon polymer, and the Stinger and Stinger LED are made from aircraft aluminum. There is also a new series of lights that recently came out, which are the Stinger LED HP and the Stinger DS LED HP. These are even brighter than the Stinger LED and PolyStinger LED and are offered in both a single and dual switch.

Any electrical engineer type gurus? I have a streamlight ultra stinger flashlight. I would like to try to convert it to an LED light. I want the brightest LED i can find. I'm assuming I need a resister also but I'm not sure which one. The rechargeble battery says its for 3.6V and 6V models so I'm not sure which it is. (the battery is 5 cells each about the size of a C battery) if that helps. I will get it to fit if someone can help me with which components to get. Thanks (and yes I know it would be easier to just buy an LED flashlight) Okay, googling on your flashlight shows it to be the 6 volt model, which puts out 75,000 candlepower with a Xenon-halogen gas-filled bi-pin bulb. Not going to come close with LED's!!! So, to convert it to LED's you're going to have to measure how much space we've got to put the LED's in, allowing for a resistor for each LED. The resistor will keep the LED within it's current handling range.
Rechargeable C cell batteries have 'about' 6.5 amp/hours they can store. The most powerful LED that mouser sells will consume 1.2 watts of power. Your flashlight provides about 39 watts, we'll have to throw away about 58% because of the resistors. All this brings us to the ? of: How long do you want it to stay on??? This will determine the number of LED's, limited by the space to put them in!
So, what is the diameter of the lens and at what angle does it converge to the bulb???

Note: LED's were invented to conserve power whereas tungsten filaments use the more 'brute force' approach.
radian64 is about right with the 1 watt and 10 ohms; resistor dissipation will about 1.225 watts (hot) and we're running out of LED room with 1 watters!
