Flying nocturnal insects in Georgia? I am new to Georgia and this is my first experience with warm weather insects here. Over the past couple days there have been some flying bugs that have invaded my bedroom. They have transparent wings. They are small and black. Their abdomen curves in a way that suggests a stinger but so far I haven't suffered a sting so I assume it's my paranoia and fear of wasps. They are almost like ants and are quite annoying. I'm not sure if they buzz or if the buzzing is just a symptom of them frying on the light bulb. I have no idea what they are and I'm almost afraid that they are immature waspers. Any idea what these could be? posting a pic would be the surest way to ID it for you...all ant species will have winged ones that will show up from time to time...this is also time for termite swarmers to get active, but their wings are usually described as white where ants are describes as clear...and then there are many tiny wasp species it could be that have emerged at the same time.

All the ways to charge a capacitor? I have a 1 ferad stinger power cap that says ultra low esr 20 volt surge on it. It came like this with the system I bought and no instructions on how to install it. So I am wanting to know what are some ways that I can charge it myself. Please give specific directions because I've hooked systems up before but not caps. I read that you can buy a bulb with lead but if you can provide with ebay links or whatever that would be great. Thanks Obviously. But you cannot hook them up directly to your amp and stuff before they ahve been charged to 12 V CAPS charge then discharge.

Can I feed my rose hair tarantula dead bees? He hasn't eaten in a while and I just cleaned out my light bulb and found several bees. They are dead of course, which is my first question, can I feed him dead things or do they have to be alive? Second of all, are bees poisonous to him because of their stingers? Will he get hurt? Please help! Being alive helps a lot, tarantulas find prey by picking up vibrations and air currents. If it is dead, it's not giving out any air currents or vibrations.
Also, I advise against feeding your tarantula anything wild caught. Wild caught bugs could have parasites or pesticides that could kill your tarantula. I suggest going to a pet shop or even a bait shot and get crickets. They are usually a dollar a dozen.
If your tarantula were to eat a bee, one that was clean of parasites or pesticides, it won't harm the tarantula. There is a difference between venom, like bees and spiders have, and poison, which certain frogs and caterpillars have. Venom is injected (usually by fangs or a stinger) into the body and poison is absorbed through a membrane (usually by ingestion or inhalation). Usually, stomach acid can break down venoms, making them harmless to ingest. Think about it, the spider is going to have to ingest it's own venom, and it is not immune to it's own venom.
Finally, a bee can most certainly pierce a tarantula's exoskeleton.

Why Is My Stinger Capacitor Steady Beeping? & Shutting Off !!? my cap is steady beeping, when i charged it i put the light bulb to where it told me & it started to make the beeping sound so i assumed it was charging. But the light bulb never lite up but i didn't think anything of it. but now when everything is hooked up it steady beeps every 5minutes ??? can someone help me out !! Usually, the beep alarm is to let you know that the cap is either hooked up backwards or that there is too much voltage being applied. If you haven't already, you should disconnect it immediately. If the cap is installed incorrectly, it can overheat and leak. Trust me, that is a mess that you don't want to have to clean up.

Please help! She can probably eat them, but tarantulas prefer live food to dead so she probably wont. The stingers shouldn't be a problem. She probably hasn't eaten in a while because it is going to moult. You need to make sure there is plenty of humidity in there and it has a safe place to hide while it is moulting. Rose hairs and particularly strange when it comes to moulting habits and starving themselves. Mine would starve itself for 3 months every time I cleaned the cage.

Stinger UV40, NOT zapping!? I have the Stinger Bug Zapper UV40. It is one year old. Worked great last year. Replaced the bulb. However, it is NOT zapping! Can i fix it? Please help! They do have a 3 year warranty you need to send it for repair. There are many things that could be wrong, the transformer comes to mind first. That part cannot be repaired it has to be replaced.
