Xbox 360 vs. PS3. Let the console war begin! (stupid question mark--->)? Well, to start it off, I have been on the verge of ripping my Xbox out of the plugs and tossing it straight into my window. Not out the window, INTO the glass. Also, after 3 or 4 years, my Xbox finally received the RROD. It also displayed the E74 message on my screen. I tried all of the solutions to fix it and decided to send it to MS. It took about 4 weeks for it to get to TX (from CA), have them take of the face plates and put it onto new hardware, and send it back. I'm sure my Xbox was at the factory waiting to be repaired for a long time though, since the failure rate of an Xbox is 50%, and 40% to fail a second time. I've looked at the PS3 and I kinda wish I had one. The problem is all my friends have Xbox (all of them have had RROD too) and Halo is exclusive to the Xbox. PS3 has so many more exclusive games and they all look way better than the Xbox exclusives. Halo and Gears of War are the only good exclusives for the Xbox, but I only play Halo for the single player and custom games, then GoW for the SP and playing against bots with friends. God of War, Uncharted 2, Killzone 2, MAG, all of those games look amazing. I think that the PS3 wins in the exclusive games category. If I could change everything, I would have all my friends play PS3 (and me). Also, MS are the cheapest bastards alive. Their microphones suck so much. It's almost entirely made of really thin plastic. Two of my friends' mics snapped and mine just stopped working (not sure how). I ended up having to get Turtle Beaches, which are amazing. I also bought two play n charge kits, which stopped working after about 6 months or less. They just wouldn't charge the battery anymore, and the light wouldn't lit up either. Now I have to use rechargeable batteries (since it's a hassle to buy batteries all the time), but they are starting to die a lot more often then they used to. And $5/mo for live????? That just doesn't make any sense. Xbox is the only gaming system where you have to pay to play online. PC doesn't pay, PS3 doesn't pay, Wii doesn't pay... Come on WTF!! Speaking of Live, I had to buy a Wifi adapter and it costed me $100!!! Ridiculous. To me, the only problem is no cross game chatting with your friends. I think that may have been released, but only to Playstation Plus subscribers, not sure.
TL;DR: Having an Xbox kinda sucks. It has its PRO's but I'd replace it with a PS3 if I had the money, free cross game party chat, and if I had more than 2 friends who have one.
