How do you put a 1,000,000 candle power rechargeable spotlight together? my mom works nights and there was a huge storm soo she told me to try to figure out this hi tech flashlight and i totaly didnt get it the instructions led me to take it apart soo if anyone could help that be great >,<

Do standard definition HANDYCAMS give "standard" Hollywood movie DVD/DVDRip quality? I am from India and I am looking to buya HANDYCAM. I am looking for a HANDYCAM that allows me video recording in such a way that, the recorded video gives me quality similaR TO the English original DVDs or that of the DVDRips widely available in the net. I have no idea how to exactly equate DVD quality with camera video quality specifications!!!! NO. you'll never get a dvdrip quality video from a handycam. Movies that you rip start out in film... super high quality. when you compress the video for dvd, you toss out information that is redundant. movies have large files and when compressed, you still get a great looking product. handy cams start with less resolution and smaller files so when you compress that, it won't look as good... kind of like garbage in garbage out... that's the short answer...

battery fro LED spotlight? I 'd like to know what type of battery I can use (the lightest possible) for two 2.7 watt LED spotlights. Rechargeable or recyclable, whichever. Thanks In theory you could put the two in series and use a battery of 6 volts to drive the 5.4 volt leds. But that would be dangerous, the LEDs would easily be blown out.
I'm assuming the 2.7 volt spec is a typical, not a maximum, and is speced at the current you want to use (which you didn't state).
You can probably get away with 7.5 volts of batteries, and a series resistor (for 20ma of current) of (7.5-5.4)/.02 = 100 ohms.
But, if you are designing this type of circuit, there are lots of parameters you need to consider.

Vf can vary with current, temperature, and unit to unit. You have to calculate/guess at the worse possible variation of Vf at the current you want to use. Then you pick a voltage and resistance and check over the possible range of Vf, E, and R to see that the current doesn't exceed the max current, or drop too low. if it does, you have to change the circuit conditions and start over.

Need help is choosing a good spotlight for walking dogs in the dark? I have been searching the internet now for days in search of a lightweight spotlight or torch so i can see when i walk my dogs in the dark. I usually walk on fields but can be bit dangerous in dark morn/nights. Its not to see the dogs - more of lighting up the field where i walk so i don't fall in many of the holes that's there. I need it to last at least 2hrs and be strong enough to light up a good area. Waterproof and if possible lightweight. The best ive found so far is a Coleman LED equal to approx 1.5 million candle but its heavy at 6 pounds, although its Rechargeable and waterproof. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Have you tried a Maglite at all? They come in various sizes and strengths and are pretty lightweight. http://www.maglite.com/index_flash.asp for details.
