Do rappel guns really excist ? Like the kind batman has They do really exist. They are not quite like what you see in Batman. They are large and some what bulky. They are not common as there are very limited uses for them. A some what more common cousin would be a "line throwing" gun which is used to send a rope from one ship to another for whatever purpose. The Navy uses them during replenishment operations and they are standard emergency equipment on most merchant ships. They keep them on the rigs out here in the Gulf also.

how can anyone expect me to believe that the israelis shot people from the helicopter first? the story is that the israelis shot people on the flotilla from the helicopter, and THEN rappelled men down with paintball guns. this makes no sense to me. unless i am being asked to believe that the israelis are unbelievably stupid. IF they are bloodthirsty murderers, why did they bother to send people down to play paintball? why not stay in the helicopter and kill everyone, or shoot a missile on them, or just torpedo the boat? i can believe that they fired warning shots, or that the activists cant tell the difference between a paintball gun and a machine gun, but i cant believe that the israelis are this stupid. and why did they only pick one boat to kill people on? "Sometimes pirates shoot people from the air, and at other times they wait to kill people until they have boarded the ship." one thing pirates definately dont do, is kill people, then try to play paintball with their friends. Long story short, the military "invaded" this boat in the dead of night, SWAT style. They came face to face with the humanitarians. As tempers rose. The activists tried taking the guns out of the militants arms and tried to throw them overboard. That's when a scuffle broke out, The Israelis fired into the crowd during the confrontation. The activists picked up normal everyday "weapons" that you would find on a ship...deck chairs, wooden planks, metal poles etc and started defending themselves...it was their ship and they were not even in Israeli waters. Shots were fired needlessly, activists were killed (post mortem's later revealed that one guy was shot in the head 5 times, another was shot from behind) Activists fought back, naturally, but were defeated, threatened and bound and kidnapped into a country only to be interrogated and then deported
I'd agree with you that it would not be cold blooded murder if Israel was defending itself in its own territory, but this was international waters. They had no right to storm that boat, kill people. They were not being threatened (How could a ship loaded with weapons such as butter knives and deck chairs be a threat to Israels military? Seriously!)
They were not doing it in self defense, so it was murder and ruthless at that. Israel seized most media footage of the events and only released a 5 second clip of these "terrorists" throwing an Israeli soldier overboard....convenient isn't it? That will show the people how ruthless these humanitarians are. Problem solved!

How does the death of Xenia Onatopp in Goldeneye work? In case you missed the scene, it's the part where Bond gets attacked by Xenia (the crazy femme fatale in the movie who gets off on killing people) who rappells from a chopper, and in that scene, he clips her rappelling cable to her shoulder holster, then holds her behind him while he uses her gun to shoot the chopper. The chopper falls down, pulling the cord and sending Xenia flying into the fork of a tree. The chopper continues to fall (thus still pulling on the rope attached to her holster) and she's still being pulled into the fork of the tree. She's wildly screaming the whole time, flailing around, until she appears to pass out, before dying. She's still hanging up there by her holster after the chopper crashes. How could someone die from that? I don't get it. I'd say from your accurate description, she dies from hitting the fork of the tree, and the weight of the chopper on the rope.
However, remember that this is a movie, and half of the stunts would kill most people outright. "Suspended disbelief" is needed to watch these things.

Best game out there right now? This is just a personal oppinon, but Rainbow SIx: Las Vegas is the best game i think ive ever seen. I am nearly done with it, and it has been a hell of a ride so far. from shooting it out down Freemont Street (the street with the over head display roof) to rappelling down the side of the Stratosphere (tower in Las Vegas) to exploring casinos and gun point. I recommend it to anyone who likes a challenge. It will put any first person shooter to shame. you'd be amazed what all i've beaten.. i have a library of games i've beaten and working on. beaten the GTA's the simpsons Medal of Honor.. nearly beaten all listed well i like racing games so i like BurnOut Revenge and the other ones they are the best racing games ever

How do you become the guide aka (lead recruit) during Marine Corps boot camp? What are the circumstances and criteria that must be met in order to achieve said status? Physically I'm in good shape. I can do 20 pull ups (with elbows hyper extended and palms facing away). I can do 50 crunches in 1min 10sec so I wouldn't have a problem reaching 100 in whatever time they gave me. And, I can run 3 miles in about 22-24minutes. I've also been a hunter my whole life, so I think I have an advantage when it comes to marksmanship. Not saying I have ever shot an M-16 at 500 yards, but I would pick it up at a faster pace than other recruits that have never fired a gun and because I'm just good when it comes to weapons. I did wrestling in HS and Krav Maga for a year after graduation. So as for MCMAP, I'm going to dominate. I know how to fight clean or dirty :p. I had MCJROTC my senior year of HS so I already know how to march, drill, land nav, rope climb, rappel, and all that good stuff. As for pugle sticks and obstacle courses I got that locked down because I've just always been athletic. So, what kinds of things other than physical prowess do they look for in the lead recruit? And don't say mental toughness or team oriented because I already know that. But, how do they actually determine who becomes the guide? To be honest the way to be the honor guide at the end of boot camp is to not be the 1st person they pick as guide, he will usually get replaced even if he does nothing wrong just so they can show everyone nothing is set in stone. the squad leaders will get replaced 5 or 6 times.
It is very random how they choose people for these positions at first but as they go they will weed it down to being people who actually qualify to be there.

The first is the fallacy that ILLEGALS do the jobs that we won't do. They simply do them cheaper and with fewer (if any) benefits. A fact taken advantage of by unscrupulous employers. Pay more and provide benefits and Americans will line up to do those same jobs.
The second is that I don't see any connection between "doing jobs we won't do" and "shooting a border patrol agent". Unless you're advocating that Americans should gun down our own border patrol. And I'm choosing to believe that's not what you meant.
As to why they shot this man? The same reason that any criminal will kill law enforcement officers. They get in their way of committing crimes and they have no regard for human life. Their immigration status is merely a side note in that dynamic.
