Unmarked Police car shined spotlight while on freeway? I was on 1-10 East ( i live in Texas) and i was doing about 70 in the far left lane (i think the speed limit was 65) anyways im driving, and i see a flash of light behind me. I look back to see a white car behind me. I didnt think anything of it so i kept driving. I look in my rear view and he does it again, almost blinding me. I didnt know what was going on so i switched lanes to the right. Then he passes me ( me doing about 70) maybe going 15 mph faster than me, and i look at it and its an unmarked police car. What i want to know is why didnt he go around? There were plenty of other lanes thay were empty. It really pissed me off but there was nothing i could do about it. The "cop" was a total asshole. why didnt he go around? Why did he HAVE to shine his spotlight? btw this was around 9PM The unmarked police car did you a favor by shining the spotlight at you on the freeway instead of pulling you over and giving you a citation for improper lane usage. Left lanes are for passing only on I-10, and other limited access highways in Texas.

Why do only North American/Canadian Police cars have Spotlights, and not other countries? The reason I ask is if you look at other police cars from around the world only North American/Canadian Police cars have spotlights. Is there any reason other countries don't use spotlights? Wouldn't a spotlight be an asset to the officer at night? I haven't looked closely at the police cars in my country, but my impression is that they are given the equipment that they need to get their job done properly. Our police forces don't have tasers, and was only recently equipped with pepper-spray. Everything to avoid harming the criminals, ya know :)

Some electronic/stereo installation businesses can install them or rather wire them up for you. But they will not cut the holes necessary to install them thats why I say a body/repair shop would be your best bet. IfI'm wrong and your talkin g about fog lamps them the electronic/stereo shop could install them completely for a reasonab le amount.
Why do American police cars have spotlights and push bumpers whereas UK police cars don't? Is it tradition or functionality or something? well i guess its because the police in the U.S are more aggressive than the ones in the UK. the spot light is so they can find you in the dark and i would say the push bumper is so they can push you out of the road once they find you.

A spotlight is used on traffic stops to illuminate the car that has been pulled over. It is also used to look for address at night etc... There is nothing that says which way it should be facing. Typically it is facing downward towards the windshield when not in use.

At E3 we revealed the first five. The fire breathing 800hp Mustang Super Snake, the sleek McLaren MP4 12C, the gorgeous BMW M3 GTS, the timeless Porsche 993 GT2, and the immaculate Audi R8. Of course, we couldn t lay all of our cards down at once, so these five are just a taste of the amazing cars that will be featured in the game. We will be sharing car details regularly so check back often. HANDLING The handling philosophy for this game is to make it very human. For example, when you re driving the Super Snake, we want to give you the experience of what you d imagine it would be like to drive a heavy, rear wheeled drive American beast through tight city streets. The physics are immediately accessible but with incredible depth. By that we mean anyone should be able to pick it up and play, but at the same time, experienced racers will feel rewarded when they master the handling of each car. The Mustang will feel far different from the Porsche, and the Police Interceptor will feel slow and sluggish in comparison to both. When you do steal the cop car, it becomes a moment to realize that not only are you rushing to get back into the race, but you need to do it strategically so you re not taken out by the helicopter or crushing debris.
