Is it possible for a spark plug head to round? I went to change a plug and could not remove it.A regular 5/8 spark plug socket would not engage the plug,so using a snake flashlight to look at the exposed end of the spark plug it appears to be completely round....so the socket won't engage the plug.I then took the wire off the sparkplug next to it and it looks identically rounded and it won't engage either... So is the plug just pushed down too far in the cylinder or is it rounded?I'm thinking it's possibly in far down enough the rounded edge i'm seeing is a different part of the plug above the 6 sided...That seems unlikely but who knows...How can I get the plug out?.... I have a 2000 Toyota Rav4 4 cylinder

I am looking for a rechargeable security flashlight.? I was told that there is a flashlight that you plug in to charge, and when the electricity goes off, the light comes on. You can unplug it and use it for lighting for several hours without recharging. While it is plugged in it keeps charging. Does anyone know anything about this flashlight?

If we are going to plug 3.5-V flashlight bulbs into a 220-V socket...? How many flashlight bulbs would work and in what type of circuit, SERIES or PARALLEL? We tried connecting about 6 flashlight bulbs in parallel and we connected it to a 110-V socket. 5 of the flashlight bulbs burned out. We're trying to make a model of a city with lights as a Physics project. Bulbs should be connected in series.
220 / 3.5 = 62.8 . To be on the safer side connect 70 bulbs in series.
Similarly
110 /5 = 22 . Connect 25 bulbs in series.

But i want something to say power a lamp i leave on in my house all the time. there is a device but it isnt a hand crank, it uses a foot pump. i think its easier actually and puts out a lot of watts for plugging in devices. i lost the weblink, but i'll be back in few minutes to add it.

I am working on a project trying to create a "shake powered" cell phone charger. Help!? My partner and I have created a coil and magnet system. We are able to fill our capacitor to 5 volts (the battery is 3.7 v); the coil is attached to a circuit board taken from a shake powered flashlight. When we plug the phone in no charging takes place but the volts all go away. What are we missing? Or doing wrong? We'd appreciate the help! What is the size of the capacitor?
The amount of charge a cap can store is usually very small compared to that of a good battery, so it's no surprise that the charge on the cap does almost nothing to charge the battery.
Typical cell phone battery is about 5 volts and 3 amp hours. that is 15 watt-hours or 54000 joules.
A 1000 µF 5 volt cap stores E = ½CV² or 0.01 joules.
Even a 1 F 5 volt cap only stores 12 joules, still tiny compared to 54000 J
With the 1 F cap, you would have to repeat the cycle about 4000 times.

Everytime I plug in my USB Cord it doesn'r connect, but does opens up a autoplay window that has a flashlight That flashlight means that Windows is searching for something, if it doesn't stop after a while then you got a problem, it usually dissapears after a few seconds when it finds what it's searching for.
If you want to have Windows don't show that autoplay window every time, next time you see it, select where it says "Do Nothing" if I remember well it is a red circle with a line accross. Then next time you plug that device again, it will do that.....NOTHING.... :) - So there, you got rid of your autoplay problem.

is a NiMH rechargeable battery the same a a nickel cadmium rechargeable battery? I have a rechargeable flashlight that uses 4 AA sized nickel cadmium rechargeable batteries. The batteries don't charge anymore and I'm have a hard time finding new ones. I have some rechargeable AA NiMH batteries. Can I use these, or is there a huge difference between the 2 types of batteries. I'm paranoid of leaving the flashlight plugged in because I'm afraid of starting a fire. NiCd's are not that popular anymore and have been replaced with the NiMH batteries. Essentially they still function the same way. You can use the newer batteries in your flashlight and charge them the same way you always have. The charger circuit is very simple & basic and has no effect on the battery composition.
Because the charger IS very simple, you'll run into the same problem over a long period of time with your new batteries. Eventually they will become overcharged and not hold a charge anymore. On the same order as you experienced with the old batteries, but perhaps a little longer now.
You will not start any fires by leaving NiMH batteries in a charger that was made for NiCd batteries. I almost forgot to cite my source. Me. Electrical engineer for 35 years.

What are some of the best rechargeable flashlights (solar/winding/shaking/plug-in/etc)? I think I would like a solar or electrical outlet plug-in rechargeable flashlight for home use, especially for power outages, and a winding/shaking one to keep in the glove box of my vehicle. have been using this brand for years at work.
i have tried a couple wind up lights in my vehicle and they dont last. i think the temp and humidity swings have an effect on generator and/or battery. i now have an LED 2 cell for the car now. it holds up fine.
i've had good luck with this wind up from radio shack. keep it in the house near crawl space for emergency reasons. tornado/asteroid strike or nuke fall out. (gosh i hope none of this ever happens)

where can I find a cord to rechare my 12 volt black and decker flashlight? I lost the cord that plugs it in to recharge Try Wal-Mart they carry all the Black and Decker parts. If not there go to the Electronics Dept and find a universal charger with universal ends on them.
