How long does a Nissan Qashqai take to Heat up? Hi Im thinking of getting a Nissan Qashqai, One of the main issues i am thinking about when getting a car is how quick it is in heating the inside of the car. Especially in this cold winter. So could someone tell me the time it takes for it to heat up. Probably not - who would bother to time it and to what degree would it have to heat up to to meet what you need.
Modern cars are all designed to heat up as fast as possible with the advantage that you get heat through the vents fast. They need to heat up the engine quickly for emmisions reasons.

How much would a new drivers seat cost for a nissan qashqai? My husband can't sit in our drivers seat because the lumbar support hurts his back. It's too firm and too rounded, and it's non-adjustable on our model which is the basic car. Posher models have adjustable lumbar support, but how much would it cost to change the seat? Or is there another way to deflate it? It'll be surprisingly expensive if you buy a new one from Nissan. Think several hundred quid.
Try looking in salvage yards for one with the type of seat you're after, but even there a decent drivers seat (the one that always wears out first) won't be cheap.

I have bought the qashqai car just a month ago, and the problem that i have with my car is the engine managment light keeps coming on. Is this problem common with other qashqai or is it some? I really like the spec. I was looking at the mondeo. Looks the part but worried about getting locked out as you said in previous post and over my budget slightly. I personally don't like them, but they are a good car, and make great second-hand buys. It rides well (although it's not the best), and the pick of the engines would be the diesels. Even the 1.5dci makes easy work of the car, and doesn't feel slow.
Only major problem is the rear suspension. There are quite a few complaints of knocking noises, which usually results in them being replaced.
EDIT: the suspension problem does not seem to be specific to one model. However, I'm not saying that EVRY Qashqai will suffer the suspension problem, because it won't. If you are buying brand new and only keeping it for say three years it won't matter anyway, as any issues will be covered under the warranty.
I still think the Mondeo is your best bet though. The internet is wonderful thing with cars, in that it gives you all the negatives and none of the positives. The problems I gave for each car are common (I don't have exact figures unfortunately), but it may just be they are the most common. And by that I mean it may just be every 1 in 1000 cars effected. But if the next most common effects 1 in every 1500 cars, they suspension or locks becomes the biggest problem. I'm not sure if I have explained that very well.
Anyway, if I was you, I'd be looking for a 6-12 month old Mondeo. If it's your first car - which I think it is? - there is no point in taking a massive depreciation hit. My current car is a Jetta. The one I have costs £17K new, and I bought mine at 10 months old for £12K. It's a no brainer.
