What are some differences between a cell model and a real cell? For Biology we just made cell models of mitosis and now we have to explain how our models were different than real cells. I know that the model was only 2D and real cells are 3D but I just can't think of anything else! Real cells are basically clear, not colored or solid. Real cells are constantly moving (phospholipid bilayer is a moving layer). Real cells are constantly orchestrating internal processes of metabolism and synthesis. Real cells can divide. Cell models aren't clear, don't really move, don't have internal processes, can't divide, and are way too big! haha
How do I change the face plate on my Cingular Lg C2000 model cell phone? I looked in my owners manual & there is nothing about this.I bought a set of Dolphin face plates(front & back),for my cell phone,now I can`t find out how to take the old front plate off to put the new one on.
it should be rather obvious how they go on...look hard at the faceplate and see what holds them on and assume the same on the original faceplate on the phone ...that would be your first best clue as to how to take it off......just plain logic.... it's gonna slide on or snap on ...
meaning its gonna snap off or slide off....use the face plate as a guide ....
faceplate's in general aren't as well constructed as the original cover that was factory installed and built to last ....aftermarket faceplates are made by companies who aren't looking to establish a reputation or care about future sales....so the quality stinks and sometimes the suckers don't fit right or even at all...warped bent twisted ,,,not to mention the paint that wears off in a few weeks .... my opinion of faceplates is they are a joke ...they are very cool and soon very destroyed and look ultra tacky ..like a bag lady dressed like Madonna who's been in the pouring rain for an hour.....all this to say one thing ....save your existing faceplate ...put it back on as soon as your new one starts to get beat,,,,and go buy a picture of dolphins and hang it on your bedroom wall....
What foodstuffs should I use to represent the organelles in a jelly animal cell model? I need to make a jelly model of a cell for a science assessment task. I am using half a watermelon as the cell membrance and (green?) jelly for the cytoplasm. What edible items (preferably lollies) should I use to make the organelles? I am thinking about using an orange filled with jelly for the nucleus with a malteser for the nucleolus. The items should relate to the organelles in their function as well as structure.
Use licorice for the Endoplamic Reticulum, sprinkles for the ribosomes, green starbursts for the chloroplasts....
Umm...
If you should happen to need a cell wall use rice crispies!
(I'm going by what I used when I did this, lol)
I think I actually used chocolate frosting for the cytoplasm...
I used a blowpop for the nucleus...
That's all I can remember right now.

How can i rig lights in a model cell project for school? I am making a model of a plant cell for a school project, and I would like to make it light up. Does anyone know how to do this, and if so how? Draw a cell model on a transparent / translucent plastic sheet with color pencils. You can then tape small LED lights to the back side with a series of switches to light up the part you want to talk about.
What model cell phone offers the greatest bandwidth and most features? Cost of the cell phones is not an object with me. Nokias and Motorolas are the best. If I had to pick between the two I'd pick a Nokia. They have the best features and a very easy to follow operating system. I have the Nokia 6682 ($399.99) and it's by far the best phone I've ever had (and I get a new phone about every six months, so that's saying a lot!). The camera on it is amazing and the features it offers keeps me hooked. Motorola would be my next choice. They are coming out with new, cooler looking phones. I wish they made a Motorola phone with Nokia features, but that's only in a perfect world. Go with Nokia.
