For Cops and Forensic Investigators Fans of CSI? I like all the CSI series, but as a chemist I realize that while most stories have a basis in fact, they are really, really far fetched. What really bothers me, though, is when the investigators enter a crime scene, they never turn on the lights to look for clues. They always use those tiny flashlights, not even Mag Lites. Wouldn't they find the evidence faster if they turned on the lights? And don't tell me they have uv or fluorescent lights. I'm talking about when they first enter a crime scene. Answers from real cops or forensic investigators appreciated. I wanted to post this in yahoo.us. I don't know why it was posted in yahoo.es. You're right; in real life, if they were worried about turning the building lights on they would set up high-intensity portable lighting that runs off a generator or other external power source. More light is always better when examining a scene. But that doesn't look as impressive as the different colors from the alternate light source or the handheld UV, so I think that's why it's always dark when they search their crime scenes on TV.
having trouble with the groomsmen gifts ? I've been stressing out about what to get my groomsmen for a gift, i don't want the traditional money clip, cuff links, golf, wine, etc. so i thought i would try and find something different for each which isn't easy either but i had some ideas but everybody i talked to said they should all be the same. So i was thinking about a mag lite set, it's a AA battery engravable mag lite that comes in a box with a nice leather man knife, my price range is about $40 a person and that fits but my fiance thinks that's a horrible idea, i know that myself personally would love something like that because mag lites are great and come in handy, what do you guys think and do you have any suggestions?
