6 cell mag light led? Hi, Ive been wanting to get a 6 cell mag light but I would want to be able to buy a luxeon l.e.d. for it and I can't find any that are meant for flashlights bigger than 4 cells. if you know any websites or stores where they can be found pleas give me the names. Thanks luxeon leds are garbage, cree is much better. But regardless of that, you can get mag upgrades from terralux.

I have a MAG light flashlight. Two batteries are stuck due to leak/corrosion - how is the best way to remove.? The stuck batteries are about half-way in the battery - about 4". I have tried scraping away some of the corrosion. Is there a chemical reaction that would lossen them? Pliers. Don't get your tongue on that corrosion.

What is a good flashlight to take camping? I was looking at MAG lights but the sizes that give off a good amount of light are just too big, bulky and weigh too much. Does anyone know of any light, durable and powerful flashlights? Thanks. I really like maglights for camping, but I am a car camper so weight doesn't matter much to me. Otherwise the only other flashlights I've owned have been plastic and while I'm sure they'd do the trick I don't think I'd consider them durable enough for the outdoors.

Can you see the laser on a DVD r burning laser pointer? like the one Kipkay made using a mini mag light flashlight and a dvdr diode. I planed on building one (for physics class) until i saw a question under the FAQ: Q. Why can't I see the beam like I can see in the video? A. I used smoke to make the beam visible. ..........ok? Mag light LED conversion? there are these LED conversion kits for mag lights (flashlights). they are pretty expensive at $30. i would like to know if they are worth the money. Its a single LED in the conversion kit but all of the good LED flashlights i have seen have more than one. does anyone have an opinion? thanks Yeah, it's expensive. But the LED conversion actually does a better job in one respect. The mag lights let you focus the light from a wide flood to a spot. The LED conversion will let you continue to do that. The flashlights with multiple LED's can't do this. You can't have all the LED's at the focal point so the light will always be difuse in a flood mode. You can't get a real spot to shine a distance. Even if one of the LED's were in the focal point, the other LED's mounted around in the reflector will destroy the narrow beam.

What is going on with the flashlights industry? First there was Mag-Light.... now LED products are out. Typically Led Lenser made in Germany is world popular brand, I have couple of their products, but now I see other brand in the US resemble of Ledlenser flashlights. LOL The price is outrageous tho. LED flashlights have been out for quite some time. LED Lenser is by no means the largest LED manufacturer in terms of volume when it comes to LED lights.
The Flashlight industry has reached a very competitive state, with many brands all making high-quality lights. There are your industrial/military/high-quality light manufacturers such as Inova, Surefire, Streamlight, Pelican, Novatac, Fenix, etc. There are also your average/consumer grade lights from Energizer, Duracell, Mag-lite, Rayovac, Coleman, dorcy, riverrock, etc. There are literally dozens of brands that make LED lights, then many more that make those cheap 9 LED lights you find in the dollar stores.
Here is a site that sells many lights, but by no means do they sell all the brands out there, that are many more they do not sell such as Olight, zebra light, etc. However you can get a good idea of the current lighting state.

EDC flashlights? or favorite flashlights? I never see any flashlight questions on the hunting section... (besides the dude wanting to mount a light to his shotgun). Whats your favored flashlight? If you would have asked me this a good few months ago i would have said my standard AA mini mag light. But Here last month we went through a period where snow knocked out our power for a good 2-3 days, while the maglights kept working they were pissing me off because i had to change the stupid light bulbs or they just werent lighting up enough. So i did some research and studied away and saw guys were really like these new Cree LED lights. I looked at SureFire and saw what people had to say but from what i picked up, while they are good lights they just arent worth the money and guys were talking about Fenix and 4Sevens as coming up to being serious competition for Surefire. I went and picked up a Fenix LD20 and ive got to say. It is well worth the money and now im curious why i never looked at these types of flashlights before. Its my first investment in a flashlight but im happy and hell its bright enough i would use it for night hunting out to a good 100 you can see there eyes and im sure it would give you a positive Id on what they are out at about 40-50 yards. So whats your favorite flashlight? Oh wow, I am a flashlight maniac! I am not fooling when I say that I own about 50 different flashlights; everything from the little keychain LED lights that can fit into a breast pocket of a shirt, up to the 6 cell Mag Instrument lights.
These days, the absolute best value that I have found are the Coleman 115 lumen LED lights that sell for about $25 at most big box retailers. These things really put out the light and are small and compact enough that they can fit into your coat pocket. The battery life in them is pretty good and the bulbs are supposed to last a lifetime.

CSI and flashlights, does mag-light sponsor the show? I understand using flashlights in dark places. I also understand using optic filters to see different things. But, what i do not understand is why they use flashlights in the middle of the day? I was watching CSI Miami the other day and they used flash lights to look at a car seat in a convertible in the middle of a summer day! Does Jerry Bruckhiemer have shares in the mag-light corp.? It sure seems that way.
