What is going on with the flashlights industry? First there was Mag-Light.... now LED products are out. Typically Led Lenser made in Germany is world popular brand, I have couple of their products, but now I see other brand in the US resemble of Ledlenser flashlights. LOL The price is outrageous tho. LED flashlights have been out for quite some time. LED Lenser is by no means the largest LED manufacturer in terms of volume when it comes to LED lights.
The Flashlight industry has reached a very competitive state, with many brands all making high-quality lights. There are your industrial/military/high-quality light manufacturers such as Inova, Surefire, Streamlight, Pelican, Novatac, Fenix, etc. There are also your average/consumer grade lights from Energizer, Duracell, Mag-lite, Rayovac, Coleman, dorcy, riverrock, etc. There are literally dozens of brands that make LED lights, then many more that make those cheap 9 LED lights you find in the dollar stores.
Here is a site that sells many lights, but by no means do they sell all the brands out there, that are many more they do not sell such as Olight, zebra light, etc. However you can get a good idea of the current lighting state.

Where can i get a Mag-Lite (Metal flashlight) engraved? How can i make a homemade gun or slinger related with a broken "mag lite" flashlight and some junk? I really like creating stuffs and i would love to make a weapon of some sort out of broken junk. If you ask in Home and Garden in the Do It Yourself section, someone may be able to help you.

Maglite 3watts 2D and regular 2D mag-lite flashlight? What's the diference fidel410 is correct. The 3 watt one is the L.E.D. (light emitting diode) version. I have the L.E.D. 3 AA mini-mag-lite and the 3 D mag-lite. They may be more expensive but well worth the money. I have two sets of rechargeable batteries for each one so I never have a dead light when I need one.

CSI and flashlights, does mag-light sponsor the show? I understand using flashlights in dark places. I also understand using optic filters to see different things. But, what i do not understand is why they use flashlights in the middle of the day? I was watching CSI Miami the other day and they used flash lights to look at a car seat in a convertible in the middle of a summer day! Does Jerry Bruckhiemer have shares in the mag-light corp.? I have a Mag Lite 5 -D flashlight the batteries have leaked and I cannot get them out, WD-40 did not help? I had this problem once before with a 4 D cell Mag lite so this time I sprayed each battery with silicone spray before installing them but they are stuck agian and I cannot remove them,any suggestions? ( I gave up and threw away the 4-D cell mag a few years ago and I would really like to get the batteries out of the 5 cell as it is much cheaper to simply replace the batteries Go to this site it will show you how to disasemble whole thing and remove the batteries.

How do you get a leaked broken and dried up battery out of a mag flashlight? How do you get a leaked broken and dried up battery out of a mag flashlight. It look like the battery exploded inside. The battery is an expensive battery so don't tell me to throw away the battery, thanks. On all Mag-lites, you can unscrew both ends of the flashlight. So unscrew both ends and push the battery with a short broom handle, wear a rubber glove on the hand that holds the flashlight. After the battery has been removed, wire brush the inside to remove any corrosion.

How do you get a corroded battery out of the inside of a metal mag-lite flashlight? this is a great question. i have the same problem. i got the battery out, but it left a ring of corrosion in the barrel and i cant get a new battery in there now. need a big snap ring plier to get the other end off, but the bad spot is sort of in the middle. sucks

Are Mag-lite type "LED" flashlights brighter than the typical "bulb" types? Maglite LED flashlights are FAR brighter than the common bulb types, and they also provide longer runtime, too! Regular maglites are bright for the first ten minutes, but quickly lose their brightness. However, the LED-based Maglite begins brighter, and stays that way for hours.
LED bulbs are also more shock resistant and do not require changing - they virtually last forever.
