how do i get my eyeshadow to really stand out and look bright? when i apply it, it looks good but wen i take a picture of it u cnt tell how it looks propaly i want it to really pop and look bright in the photo.. do i need to make my eyehadow darker? You can get "skin coloured" special eye make up called primer which you put on before the eyeshadow - i know benefit does one - which is designed for this very purpose.
If it's an emergency and you don't have any, there are a couple of things which can work:
1) slightly dampen your eye make up brush before you apply the eyeshadow. this is miraculous and i personally prefer the result to primer as it doesn't look so caked.... especially for daytime. it works really well with for example those bourjois little round eyeshadows in really bright pearly colours.
2) good old vaseline - a little bit of this applied to the eyelid (note - a very thin layer only!) before the eyeshadow will have the effect of making the eyeshadow "stick" all night. This works especially well with powdery shadows and it gives a really pretty sheen especially below the browbone.
did you know there is this stuff called lipcote which you put over lipstick to help it stick all night too? it's amazing - just discovered it but it's been around for years apparently!

How do i get that bright, natural look with makeup? I have longish-black hair with brown tips and an oval face. My skin is a golden caramel. i dont want to go out to the store and buy some more makeup. i just want my face to look clean, innoccent, and looks like i didn't spend 50 hrs. on my makeup. i have a lengthening mascara, black/brown eyeliner (i prefer not to use this), shimmery pearl eye shadow stick (can also be used as eyeliner), pinkish red cherry juicy tube lip gloss, and some skin colored eye shadow. what i usually do is: 1) i use the skin colored eye shadow to cover any small zitz or blemishes on my face. *my mom doesnt want me using foundation, concealer, etc. 2) i apply the shimmery pearl on the inside of my bottom lashes. 3) i curl my eyelashes and sometimes wen i feel like it put a little mascara on. this makes my face look bright and awake and gives my eyes that pretty milky glow when you first wake up in the morning. tell me what you think of this idea and and more makeup tips?? Personally, I think you look fine with that makeup.
For that extra glow, cleanse your face, 3 minutes later slather on a moisturiser and let the latter sink in and settle on your face. Now wear your makeup.

The lighting contrasting to the reflection on the flash in the camera might cause the color of the stone to change. Try different lighting to see if that solves the problem. Splash your face with water when you wake up, and wash it with a soap/scrub at night to remove any oils or makeup.

Mineral makeup is the best because it does not contain oils that cause the face to look gloopy or caked. Most stores such as Walmart will carry a decent selection of mineral makeups.

How can i make my room look bright and not dull? i have wood furniture, and black furniture, but it makes my 2 rooms look dull, and i want it to be bright... What colours woud go wiv my 2 rooms with black and wood furniture to make it brighter? As the colour consultant for Bristol Decorator Centre Coffs Harbour I have found that it is easier to start your colour selection with a style (look you want) rather than a colour. Often there is more than one colour solution to redefining a space. Having a style you want everything to look like will help determine the right colours that achieve it. Do both rooms have to be the same colour?
Some extra questions I would ask are:
What colour are your floors and what are they made from? Will determine how you view colours.
What do you do with the rooms? ie: Bedroom, chill space, laundry? Will help narrow down style.
Do you have any extra colours you must consider? Tiles, Cushions, Art, Wedding Gifts etc. This will narrow down your choices and help eliminate colours that will look wrong.
Do you have a favourite colour? Why mess with your head, go with what you like, it is your house.
Where are you? Beach, Rural, Urban. Do you want to reflect your environs? Colours go with styles.
Some easy answers are, add colour in accessories this makes some of those unavoidable dark spaces at least interesting. Think about feature walls or doing a split colour scheme. Timber goes with everything but certain colours and certain timbers make for pigeonholed styles eg. Dark green and pine are country. Rusty red and pine can be Tuscan or Outback.
Without wanting to push the barrow this kind of question is what Bristol is good at. I can help but obviously I ask more questions. Color that makes a room look bright and large? I'm redoing my room soon. The only problem is that I can't decide on what color to paint it. It is currently a pale yellow. I kind of like the dark/burn ish looking pink/orange color. I'm not sure if anyone will know what I mean by that, but if you do, how do you do that? Also, what are just some color suggestions, and what are colors that make a room look warm, bright, and bigger than it is? Go with a light turquoise color. :)
