what wrong with my camera? So I spent about 10 dollars on Duracell Ultra 123 Lithium batteries for my camera, I took one picture and then all of a sudden it tells me that the batteries are dead and I just bought them! Then after taking the batteries out, I put them back in and when I closed it , it would make this loud clacking sound. Does anyone know what would be wrong with it? ): Oh and the camera is a Canon EOS RebelG The camera's been in the family for about 8 years. But hasn't been used in the past 3 0r 4 years My first question would be how old is the camera - been around along time?
It probably needs repair. Any good camera shop can probably help you.

Quatities in a Kodak Lithium Battery? I'm trying to find the information for a Kodak Lithium Battery 3V 123. Is it a solid cathode or liguid? and how many grams it has per battery? I tried finding the MSDS or something. but can't find anything. Can someone help me. And references too if possible. Thanks It is a thionyl chloride liquid battery. The MSDS is on the Kodak web site. Just use 3V as the search term. It is a little slow to load.

BATTERIES IN SERIES 2 123 lithium batteries that I am using to try and upgrade a flashlight. how? The bulb is a 1000mA LED emitter with a forward bias voltage of 3.03 min. The batteries should in parallel but no room so they wil be in series, 123 batteries are 1400mAH, so at 1A they will only last .98 hours. In parallel they would last twice as long. with a voltage regulator or a series resistance so that the led would only drop 3V why wouldnt the AH be 2800mAh since the led is still only 3.5W. I said because since theyre in series capacity was not added only pressure (E), the added (E) is being wasted on the regulator or resistor. Do I need to find a way to make them parallel or should I stick to 3 AAA in series parallel? What kind of flashlight? If it's a 3xAAA type flashlight, the mA and W ratings are probably way overrated.
There's no way to make a 3xAAA series parallel work. You need at least 4 batteries.
If it's got a regulator and not just a resistor, it should drop the V down without wasting anything, so using 2x123 will last twice as long in series.
If you have the length for 2x123 and the diameter for 3xAAA, you can use one 3.6V 2800mAH 18650 Li-Ion battery. It's 18mmX65.0mm. That's what I did to my flashlight. It was made for 2x123 with a regulator to a 3V led. I removed the regulator and put one 18650. It's way brighter and last longer.
BTW Li-Ion cells could be 3.0V or 3.6V.
I've modded many flashlights but some are just a waste of time. If you have any more Q's fell free to ask.

Are electric scales accurate? I bought an electric scale and it's way off from my non-electric one. The difference is about 5 to 10lbs ...MORE. The scale is depressing me but if it's accurate, I'm willing to accept it. Also, it's kinda wonky at times. I've been on the scale around 10 times today and the number ranges from 119.5 to 123. By the way, the electric scale is lithium and I got it from Wal-Mart as a Christmas present. Yes I did ask for a scale for Christmas. My old scale is from around 6 years ago. So are the scales at the doctors, the manual weight ones, the most accurate? Just because the display shows tenths of a pound doesn't mean it's accurate. Both electronic and mechanical scales can be quite accurate if they're well made and not abused.
Lithium just means the battery lasts longer and says nothing about accuracy.
So, yes, the electronic scale could be very inaccurate as you seem to think.

Why did my LED flashlights stop working? One is an Inova 5 LED, aluminum body flashlight about 4.75" long, uses 2 Lithium 123 batteries. The other one is a freebie from a Con Ed survey; 14 LED's, aluminum body, 5.75" long and uses 3 AAA's inserted in a cage that goes into the body of the flashlight. They both seem to be solidly constructed - my kids were using them and I didn't see any visible damage afterwards. Checked the batteries with a tester and they seem fine. Is there a DIY way to fix them? Thanks Bet you a buck the batteries are in backwards.
LEDs only pass current one way (and thus light up) - if the batteries are in backwards, no current will flow, and there will be no light (but you won't destroy them either, cos a reverse-biased diode is just doing its normal job)

problem with rechargeable flashlight batteries? I bought 4 rechargeable 3v 123 batteries to power my surefire torch/flashlight, they charged up ok first time, but they've blown my surefire bulb twice now. I'm not putting them in again I'm just wondering why they flashed and blew the bulb instantly? I know surefire does rechargeable batteries and lithium rechargeables exist, but these have 1000mAh written on them and it scares me. Can someone educate me on electricity since I'm obviously not understanding this. good answers so far, except the 3rd. I checked and the batteries are 3v, the torch I've used for years and I'm 100% it's 6v, has always taken 2 throwaway 3v's. I'm none the wiser still. The 10000mAh means that they can last for 1000 hours with a 1 milli amp draw or 100 hours with a 10 milli amp draw. Could it be you have the wrong VOLTAGE BATTERIES? might be you need 1.5volt or 1.2 volt the extra voltage in the 3volt ones would instantly burn out the bulb. another solution could change the bulb to match the power out put you have. just add the voltage together for all the batteries required ,if two at 3v each, total is =6v. if three batt. total = 9v and so on.

Lithium batteries are powerful batteries, many camera's and laptops have them, and you can't even bring extra ones on airplanes anymore. I don't think the bulb should be burning out, unless you have the wrong batteries or bulbs.
