How do you put 4 AA batteries in a Ozark Trail Mini LED Camp Lantern? Hi, i bought a mini lantern (Ozark Trail-Mini LED Camp Lantern) at Walmart the other day...for out at the lake.....it takes 4 AA batteries but some how i can figure out how to put the batteries in?!...in the bottom of the lantern it unscrews but it looks like it takes 1 big D battery, and there isn't even like slots for each individual battery?!...can any one help? Probably not as halogen lamps usually are on a reduced voltage circuit (via an autotransformer)

About how many lumens are the cheap 9 LED mini flashlights? I bought this performance tool 9 led flashlight for like 2 bucks at advance auto. Its handy but i am thinking about spending ~30 to get a better flashlight that is around 100 lumens. I am just curious to find out about how many lumens this flashlight is to know if it would be that big of an improvement but i cant seem to find information on how many lumens it has anywhere
I honestly do not remember very well any more, but this was brought up on CPF. I would say about 35 lumens +5 or -5 lumens. I am not positive since I never use them. I mainly use higher end lights.
Keep in mind that if you buy a flashlight that is LED, and it says it can put out 100 lumens, it will likely not put out 100 lumens. Many China made lights will say 100 lumens, but that is technically incorrect, since that is what the LED is capable of putting out, not what is truly coming out the front. Therefore it could be far less than 100 lumens. Typically if you buy an American made light from companies like Surefire, Muyshondt, Inova, etc. they will have the actual output listed. However, they are not cheap, and I paid a very high cost for my Muyshondt Aeon, which can put out 115 lumens on high, 10 lumens on low, and has amazing battery life for a CR2 battery. It is not the brightest, but it is definitely a very high quality light.
I am not saying that all China made lights are this way, but many of them are. This can go for many lights made in the USA as well as other countries.
Is it safe to put led or mini lights into the back of any artwork? I've seen pictures with them, but it wouldn't go with my decor. Can I get a picture and put my own through it without it being a fire hazard? LED's are perfectly safe so there will be no fire risk you can use one or two to suit your needs and the are available in various colours, they don't use a lot of battery power so the are inexpensive to run and the they are small enough to fit into tiny places, don't use mini lights, they heat up quite a bit even the small one's.
