What is the use for so many of the blue colored led flash lights? I got one and the blue tinted does not seem to light up as well to see much but the same light with a white led is so much brighter. So what do you use the blue tinte led for in so many of these flash lights?
I agree with you. The only two reasons I can think of are:
*To some people, blue may feel softer and "moodier" and not as harsh as white
*Blue is different to white, so it can be used to indicate or signal something different, although red would be a better color for signaling, as blue is too close to white.
How do I install a custom mirror with LED flashing lights on an 1997 Maxima? I have a 1997 black Maxima with a damaged side mirror. I was looking at eBay and found a set of mirrors with LED lights that flash when you signal for a turn (like that of the Benz). My concern is installing them. Since the stock mirrors don't have flashing lights, how am I supposed to wire the mirrors to be able to get a message from the car when it is signaling? You would need to feed the wires through the mirror connection to the door and through the door into the door jamb and through the fender to the turn signal and slice into the wires there. Repeat for the other side.
Why do LED Lights flash when on a timer that is currently turned off? I replaced the standard 15 or 20 watt incandescent carriage type light bulbs with .9 watt LED equivalent bulbs in my two carriage lights in front of my house to lower the cost of the lights being on all night. These lights are connected to an automatic astronomical timer where a light switch would normally be. The timer has been there for several years working flawlessly turning the lights on at dusk and off at dawn. There is also a CFL bulb in a can light above the front door which behaves normally. The new bulbs turn on just fine when the timer turns them on, but when the timer turns them off they all flash very rapidly. This is super strange. Is it possible that the timer is not actually turning off completely or could there be residual power in the circuit? Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions?
It has to be a fault in the circuit. Unlike incandescent light bulbs, which illuminate regardless of the electrical polarity, LEDs will only light with correct electrical polarity. When the voltage across the p-n junction is in the correct direction, a significant current flows and the device is said to be forward-biased. If the voltage is of the wrong polarity, the device is said to be reverse biased, very little current flows, and no light is emitted. LEDs can be operated on an alternating current voltage, but they will only light with positive voltage, causing the LED to turn on and off at the frequency of the AC supply.
Or the device you have is not compatable with the LED's.
Why did the LED lights flash? Why is it everytime when we turn on the mains to the PC, the LED lights for the Num Lock, Caps Lock and Scroll Lock on the keyboard will flash momentarily?

Most systems these days are soft off, the switch doesn't disconnect the mains and parts of the system stay on waiting for a wake up signal which can come from the on switch, or modem, or keyboard or mouse, or ethernet card depending on the BIOS settings.
How much power the PC takes in the above state can be quite variable from about 20W on some old ones down to a fraction of a watt on the most recent high quality machines, so best turn off at the mains.
When you turn the mains on, the motherboard and power supply will go through a little check routine, partially powering up, checking what peripherals are connected, checking the fans will spin etc. then it will drop back into the suspend state.
