LED bulbs? I have a shop and have just been visited by a salesman. He was telling me about LED bulbs. He said they last 10 years and save money on the electric bill. The bulbs I have at the moment don't last very long so I'm tempted to change to LED. The LED bulbs are 19.90€ each and I have 15 bulbs in my shop. I usually pay 3.00€ for the bulbs I have now. Does anyone know anything about LED bulbs or give any advice because I don't want to get ripped off. When something's too good to be true....... they are very good, but do give off a different kind of light. have a look at some in a diy store.
the light is described as flat and does not focus.
they do cost more to buy, but run very very cheaply. The LED (light emitting diode) does not consume any electricity, only the circuit consumes power, hence them saving you money.
You need to do your maths and see how the cost compare to the number of hours you plan to run them.

Can you replace regular christmas bulbs with led bulbs? I don't want to replace my christmas tree and it's pre-lit! I would like the led bulbs though. Can I switch out my normal bulbs with led bulbs, or is the cord made for a special amount of current to run through it? Where could I get the bulbs only if I wanted to? No you cannot. You can remove that string and replace it with a lcd string. Never go against what a manufacturer has shipped.

I need replacement red led bulbs, but am unsure where to go? We have a used 1997 Honda Accord. The original owner replaced the factory tail light fixtures with all clear fixtures and used red led bulbs. The mechanic replaced the bulbs the last time we had it in, and he just put in clear ones. Now we have that stupid red tape over the lights to get the right color. All we can find are the normal replacement bulbs. I don't know where to look and how to make sure they are the correct size. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Any auto parts store should have exactly what you need. If you can, take the clear one in with you, to make matching the type easier. I have even seen them at Walmart.

What light fittings are around for multiple led G4 bulbs? I am trying to find light fittings for led bulbs that preferably fit flush to the ceiling and can hold 3 or more LED g4 type bulbs. I need them for a narrowboat and indiviually the bulbs are not bright enough however a fitting like i have mentioned would sort this out. Sounds like something I would have to make for you.

Where can I find PAR20 LED Bulbs? I'm looking to replace my PAR20 50W (120v) halogen bulbs with LED lights to save on electricity. I've been looking around the Internet but haven't been able to find any LED bulbs that are comparable to the 50 watt halogen in their light output. If anyone knows of a place to order these bulbs please let me know. Try Ledtronics. Be prepared for sticker shock though.

how to stop led bulbs from blinking fast in my yukon? i want to switch all of my turn signal/break light bulbs in my yukon and magnum over to led bulbs from incandescent bulbs. but when you do, the flashers blink fast as if i have a bulb out...i.e. low voltage draw. how do i stop this from happening? thanx everyone. Is a different flasher unit not available from the suppliers of the aftermarket lights? Should be.

Can incandescent bulbs fit into a LED light fixture? I will be installing light fixtures into my office with LED bulbs...if i wanted to, can i replace the bulbs with incandescent ones? Why in the world would you want to replace an LED bulb with an incandecent bulb? LED's are much much MUCH more efficient. They also cost much more to buy, and then you want to replace it with an incandescent bulb?? This makes absolutely no sense at all. If you want an incandescent bulb, buy a standard incandescent fixture. It will save you a bundle up front, though it will cost much more to operate, and you will have to change that incandescent bulb *at least* 10 times more frequently.
Anyway, it's the base of the bulb that you look at. If it's the same style base, it will fit, but the wireing may not be large enough to handle the incandescent bulb if this fixture was designed for an LED.

P.S. I've been replacing incandescents with LEDs but haven't even SEEN an LED *fixture* that would allow for an incandescent bulb. Incandescent TO LED yes, LED to incandescent, no. {totally confused with the reasoning here.}

Can i put LED bulbs on the turn signal lights and backup lights? I was wondering if i buy some LED bulbs could i installed them if i take off the original turn signal lights or do i have to get a professional installation? Yes you can,
You must find out the bulb number your car uses for your turn signals. in some cars, a dual filiment is used. (when your bulb functions as a running light AND a blinker) these are special cases that require "dual filiment compatible" LED bulbs. but you can get them from ebay, just make sure you specify "blinker" or "signal" or something of that nature within your search.
Also, know that your bulbs will blink faster if they do not have resistors with them because LED's draw such low watts that it is seen as no load and therefor defalts to the "burnt out light" mode, which makes your lights blink faster.

What kind of bulbs are in a 1994 camaro dome light? And are they replaceable with colored led ones? Im looking to change most of the lighting on the inside to green led bulbs and i need to find out what size will fit. I would also like to change the lighting for behind the speedo. The dome lamp bulb on the 1994 camaro is a 906 bulb.These bulbs can be bought at any of your local parts stores.Best of luck.
