Phone LCD not working help help help please? My phone decideds when it wants the screen to work and i was told its the LCD lighting because in normal lighting you cant see anything unless you take a flashlight and aim it at the screen and u can somewhat see. It usually will begin working again but this time its been over 3 or 4 days and yes im going ot go get another but is there any tricks i can use in the mean itme to maybe get it to work? even a little? Help!!!!!! you'll gonna have to get a screwdriver for this 1.
what you need to do is to disconnect and reconnect the whole LCD screen tablet from baseboard of the cellular. Now it goes without mentioning that you should prefer to let phone seller company to do this little trick, so your warranty doesn't expire. If you haven't done something like this before, id just let expert to do it.
Its prob just a loose connector, as cellulars are little prone to this kind of action. they aren't as much shock absorbent as you'd think.

Has anyone here used Monster ScreenClean to clean their desktop LCD moniter? I have used it along with the microfiber cloth and when I look at my moniter with a flashlight when the screen is off I can see dirt marks where I wiped with the cleaner. It says it is for LCD moniters and it is not supposed to streak or leave any film, but that does not seem to be the case. Is there any way I can clean these marks? yeah I use it and it's fine

Help with Dell Inspiron 6400 LCD? I'm looking for advice with a laptop problem. Although my laptop is operating, its screen remains dark. That is, if I turn the screen sideways I see the normal programs and functions and can even operate the computer with the help of a flashlight. I've run tests suggested from the Dell Support website. The laptop has failed the LCD invertor test and the LCD graphics test. I've pryed off a section of keyboard and checked the LCD cable. The cable isn't loose. I would appreciate some advice. go hit ebay. Hong Kong has a huge selection of replacement components. They are really easy to install on your dell. Also hit Dell's support website, they have complete repair manuals for free for you to take apart your laptop...very detailed too.

03 expedition EB indash LCD backlight out, all works, flashlight lets me see and use , can i replace just LCD? I ran over a steel plate in road and the backlight went out on the dash LCD screen. My Flashlight lets me still see screen and adjust settings. I tried the fuses and still no backlight. Ford said that they don't have replacements, just have to send back east of us to fix takes about a week and $600. Please help?? send it to oemautosound they charge 100.00 to fix it

How can i tell if the backlight or the LCD inverter is bad on my laptop? I have an IBM Thinkpad R40 type 2723? When I boot it up the screen is kind of dim and pinkish colored. After about an hour of running the screen flickers and goes VERY dim. I can still make out the images, and if I shine a flashlight on the screen I can see them more clearly. Can a tech please give me their opinion? Your inverter is probably going out. If you have a warranty, use it. If not, it might cost you a bit to fix it.

why does my norcent lm550 lcd monitor turn off but I could still see the desktop even though it is so dark? Problems with Norcent lm550 lcd monitor. I recently got a norcent Lm550 from someone and when I connect it to the computer, the screen flashes so fast under a second. I flash a flashlight at the monitor and can see the desktop,but its so dark. What can I do to fix it? This is probably caused by the cable that goes to the lights in the monitor. I've had this happen on two different laptop monitors before.
What you need to do is take the monitor apart. (Usually there's about 4 screws on the back)
Then look for a cable that goes to the light inside. (On laptop monitors it is usually a pink and white pair)
Follow the cable to both ends and make sure that they are plugged in correctly. (Do this for all the cables inside if you have time)
Plug the monitor in and turn it on to see if it is back to normal. (Make sure you don't touch anything metal inside while it is on)
If it works, unplug the monitor and put it back together.

Dust specs under digital camera LCD? (and it's new!!)? Ok here's my situation :( -Brand new digital camera (Sony DSCW80) -Less than 5 days old -Very light usage (not more than 30 pictures) -Well cared for (no extreme weather/dust conditions/etc) Today I was outside in the backyard taking pictures and I noticed that the LCD has tiny dust specs underneath. I confirmed this by wiping off any surface dust and shining a flashlight directly on the LCD screen, and sure enough, the dust specs showed up clearly. They seem to be gathering by the corners underneath the LCD. 1) Is it normal for any digital camera to have this issue? Does this happen to other people? 2) Should I go back to where I bought this and exchange this for another camera (same model) in hope that this is an isolated incident? I cannot tolerate this because right now, the dust specs are minimal, but I own a cellphone with the same dust problem and in the future my camera's LCD might look like this: http://img86.imageshack.us/img86/958/dsc00072dn1.jpg Take it back, but remember these cameras are cannot be treated like cell phones or MP3 players.
In the future, keep the camera in a case to protect it from the obvious dust problem you encounter from time to time.
This is the first time I have heard of this problem. Usually the LCD's are sealed to prevent this kind of thing. I have owned digital cameras for over eight years and have never had this problem

Lcd tv picture turns black after a few minutes? I've put a flashlight right on the tv and don't see a picture. None of the funtions work, nor can I access menus. Sometimes it won't power on unless I plug it in a different outlet. I'm out of warranty of course. Any troubleshooting steps I can do? Anything helps. Philips LCD TV plays sound but no picture? This is a fairly new television set. Its a Philips LCD TV 40PFL5705D. You can hear sound but no picture. You can barely see images on the screen moving when I turn all the lights off and shine a flashlight. Please help. Any advice on replacing the parts myself or easy fixes. Thankls when you power the tv on it will show the phillips logo then go completley black Check the inverter transformers for burn marks. If the splash screen comes up then the panel goes black, definitely inverter.

ThinkPad T40 LCD Screen - Image disappears after 10 min - Backlight stays on - Not sure if Inverter is problem? I’m having a problem with the LCD screen on my IBM ThinkPad T40. I’ve timed it and exactly 10 minutes after turning the laptop on, the screen turns off. Specifically, the image goes away, the backlights stay on, and there is no dimmed or faded image. The image just goes away. Even when I shine a flashlight on the LCD screen, I still do not see the image. I’ve followed instructions for inspecting/replacing the inverter. The tutorial I followed indicated that the problem might not be the inverter with this sort of problem. Regardless, I got to the inverter, took it out, then reconnected it and re-installed it. Rebooted, and the screen still turns off after 10 min. I tried pressing Fn+F7 and all the other obvious looking function keys. Nothing brings it back to life. Any ideas? Does this mean the LCD is bad? I’m hesitant to buy a new LCD because when it’s on for the 10 min, the picture looks perfect. Update: I connected an external monitor and it will display the image just fine. But when the image disappears on the laptop, it also goes away on the external monitor. First check all your Power Management settings to make sure that your computer is actually working correctly. Make sure it is not going into standby or any other method of sleep. If that is all set correctly, then I'm sorry to tell you that you need a new screen.
