What features would you like to see on a cell phone/laptop combo? OK, we are going to be really imaginitive here: Lets say we are going to make a cell phone and laptop (or notebook) together as a set, isp and wireless plan bundled together as well. What features would you like to see on each? Physically, what would the form be (remember the phone and laptop are a set) Would the phone be candybar, flippy, or a totally new form? How good would the camera be? What would the harddrive space for the phone be? How would the cellphone and the computer communicate (i.e bluetooth etc) Music? Video? TV? Radio? Flashlight? Laser pointer? Projection photo viewer? What operating system would it be compatible with? (i.e mac, windows or both?) This is your opportunity to develop a "swiss army" device, limited by only your imagination. Remember when you were a kid and used to think of a fort, and how cool it would be? Kind of like this with a cell phone/laptop combo. Dream! PS: This is not market research. I have no, repeat, no ulterior motive for asking this. I am just interested in some really cool ideas, thats all. I do not work in marketing or technology. I wouldn't know how to design this, let alone market it. I happen to be a bartender, so often I find myself talking about the weirdest things. The only gain I can see from this is if some marketer finds this, and all the cool answere I hope I get, and maybe actually builds something we might all want! I dream of mankind being freed from the shackles of these all in one devices which represent the "quick fix" half @rsed approach society now has to everything and everybody.

EDIT 1: how many shots CAN i get from 4 AA batteries? do not do hobbytron unless you are a big cheapskake and have no other choice. secondly, do not buy any electric pistols, b/c it drains out the battery b/c of the blowback, and even if it doesn't have blowback, low fps. not good for outdoors. you're better off by buying a co2 gun, the catridges most of the time are supplied at the site for a small fee. i suggest these websites for buying co2 pistols

what brand of tactical flashlight/laser pointer combo is the best quality? i am looking for a flashlight for a remington 870 express synthetic 7 round, a sig 556 swat, a glock 17, glock 21, and sig p226 I like Fenix for a good value...but, Surefire is the big name with big price.
LED is the way to go in 2009 going on 2010. LED is bright.....but, is easy on batteries.

Just your thoughts or your rig and how it worked out so far Also any specific brands etc (links appreciated) ... for a semi hand gun Not to be used for hunting, just target practice / sd A laser is a valuble tool for training and shooting. When training it shows down range how unsteady your hand is. in shooting situattion they alow quick aimed shot with minimal thought, also in a fire fight they make shooting from those contortionist shooting positions simpler point the dot squeeze the trigger. Lights belong with defensive weapons if you carry concealed you leave the house with your liscense your gun a reload and a LIGHT even if its sunny outside. i recomend a non weapon mounted light like a surefire or insight but if you cant aford a $100.00 + light wally world caries a coleman that puts out 115 lumens and is quite small for less than $40.00 reasonable enough that i keep one in both of my vehicles. The reason i recomend a hand held is if you are searching with your light the gun can be at low ready and the light still used. A weapon mounte light while searching points the loaded gun "in the hands of a person most likely on edge" at every non com you may encounter your wife your kids the clerk at the quikee mart being robed while your out on a beer run. a hand held light also gives you an option of not adding extra weight to the muzzlee end of your hand gun.
to the shoot the bad guy without warning shoot a little more and all that jazz there is a reason all these instructors teach the drop it or stop then shoot because in sittuations where you can get the gun out against a knife or ball bat you yell stop as you back away the point is to draw the atention of any witneses your retreating without exposing your back and if further pressed then shoot it stops civil law suits provides witnesses and can posibly prevent a shooting if the perp surrenders. you want a personal experience three years ago i was aproached by a would be mugger in a very close quarter location when the knife was drawn my adrenaline was jacked heart pounding felt like 300 bpm i was in no shape to execute fine motor skills like draw aim shoot my imediate resonse was to use gross motor skills i struck the asaillant several times once i was able to step out from the open vehicle door as my assailant was staggering backwards away from me the fine motor skills took over i drew my sidearm instructed the man to drop the knife and lay face down on the concrete with his arms spread retrieved my phone from my pocketand called 911 kicked the knife under the truck and waited for the police when the police arived i holstered my weapon id myself as the person who called 911 and filled a report. situation neutralized bad guy in jail no shots fired!!!!!!! but had the perp not complied and reatacked yes i would without hesitation fired. the moral of the story is any preconceptions of what we will do in a fight will not survive first contact we will however fight like we train so if your carrying for defense it takes more skill than just being a good shot.

How to make a laser pointer stay ON instead of intermittent? I have a basic $2.99 laser pointer / flashlight combo.I am using this for an AIMING device and need for the laser part of it to stay on or off like the flashlight part does.I ruined one by trying to change out the small switches with each other,but I am not sure that is the proper solution.. Any ideas Open it up and take off the button and resolder a small switch on there. Or put a bead over the button and wrap tape around it a bunch of times.

Best flashlight laser for pistol? Im looking for a flashlight laser combo mount for my xd 40 pistol. i know there are many varios designs out there, i would like any recommendations. i would like it it to be a powerful flashlight as well as not too bulky for the pistol to be cumbersome. im looking in the ball park of $50 - $75. the cheaper the better. and please recommend products you have used or dealt with so i can recieve an accurate idea of how good it is. let me know what you think and feel of it. it will be used for home defense. as i hear a flashlight mount of a pistol is valuable in dark situations, and the laser for quicker acquisition if needed or for family who may not know or cant aim good in an emergency. thanks in advanced. You will not find anything worthwhile in the $50 to $75 range. In that price range are the units made to use on airsoft guns. For something that is durable and reliable, I have been very happy with the Streamlight TLR-2. It typically sells for around $300.

Looking for a belt holster that will fit Springfield XD .45ACP w/Light attachment.? I've been looking all over the net and I can't find one. The model psitol is XD9611HCSP06 and I have mounted an Insight M6 Flashlight/Laser combo. The holster that came with the pistol won't fit with thelight. I've found a Safariland drop leg holster, but I really want a belt holster. Thank you in advance if any of you can help me. Blade-tech
They have a whole line of Tac. Light holsters. I haven't looked through them all but it looks like at least one will fit an xd.45 with an m6.
I don't have any of their Tac. Light holsters but i have the IWB nano and love it. Great construction.

What is the best way to set up a Winchester 1300 shotgun with a laser/ flashlight combo? I would like to be able to switch these on & off by the trigger guard area. I have read about the picatinny rails and am unsure what these are about. One solution
