Looking for circular saws for specialized equiptment.? I am looking for some large circular saws for equiptment that our company makes. The saws are - 18 inch - 90 teeth carbide steel 14 inch - 100 teeth carbide steel These saws will be used in a pop-up saw also known as a defect saw. The saw blades will be used to cut 2 x 4 wood and to cut aluminum metal extrusions to be place on aircraft. If anyone knows where these blades can be obtained or any place that can make them and could be custom made please let me know. What bench circular saw should I use? Any recommendations? Have large quantity of 18mm x 18mm x 2m long planed timber I need to divide up into small but equal lengths of 2". Any recommendations for a circular bench saw that would do the job cleanly and quickly (with a suitable back stop gauge attached)? Thanks in advance. Mitre / bevel capability not essential. === the bench top circular saw by RYOBI is a good option -- nice saw and it can be mounted in a fashion to the center of a 4 foot by 8 foot to have a big work surface if you need it .. Lowe's or Home Depot have these BTC saws that will work well for you ... use a push stick and save yo fingers...

What could cause a large blank area with no stars around the moon? Stars appeared as normal beyond this circle? I once saw a large circular blank area with no visible stars in it surrounding a full moon. The diameter of this blank area was about 10 times the size of the moon itself. Outside of this circle all the stars appeared as normal. What could have caused this? the moon is so bright that your eyes cannot adapt to see both it and the relatively dim stars that are around it in the sky

How can I make a 3 or 4 foot circular canvas for painting? The largest I saw to buy online was 20 inch diameter. I think they sold rolls of canvas. I'm going to have to go back and check on that to make sure it's at least 3 feet wide but 4 might be better. I've only stretched canvas on pre-cut square wood pieces that interlock together. I remember putting a little water on the back so it would shrink. Hi Fitre yur ne?
I've never tried this myself but if i were, this is how i might go about it. Get yourself a three metre length of 20mm overflow pipe. Like you would use in a domestic bathroom installation; any Diy store will have some.
Carefully bring the two ends together having first inserted a piece of 15mm copper pipe about 150mm long half way into one end, you may have to increase the diameter of the copper pipe by wrapping some insulation tape around it first to make it a good fit. Bring the two ends together to form a circle.
Copper pipe will prevent rust marks leaching onto your canvas.
You will have to attach eyeleyts on the edge of your canvas so that you can maintain the tension on the face side by occasionally tightening the string/rope you've passed through the eyelets on the back of your circle. Your biggest problem will be cutting the canvas to the right shape before you start. If at all possible leave the pipe in the sun so it warms up to make it bend easier.
(I doubt if you could find a canvas as big as what you require commercially so give this a go it's cheap, at least to try it and see.)

I saw a circular white light in the sky a couple nights ago, what do you think it was? I was lying down staring at the stars while camping a couple nights ago and my friends and I were staring at what we thought was a satellite and that same satellite all of the sudden flashed a large circular white light. The large light stayed on while it kept moving across the sky until a couple seconds later it turned off and we couldn't see the satellite anymore. I don't want to call it a UFO because i don't really believe in them. I know it wasn't my imagination because all of my friends saw it too. What do you think it could be? Sounds like it might have been an iridium flare. It's sunlight reflecting off the solar panels of a communications satellite. It gets very bright for a few seconds and then dies away again.

What was the large State sized circular sphere around the moon last night? For the first time in my 28 years on this planet I saw something of a mystery. A near perfect circle of what looked like clouds 20k into the sky. This is kind of normal however this circle was the size of New York State if not larger. It was so large that 5 digital cameras, my telescope and a video camera could not get the entire image from one stand still shot. Interesting enough there were winds approx 15 mph on the ground gusting to 20 on occasion, looking up the interior of the circle to the moon was completely clear with spectacular views of stars and the Moon light was very high. Weird? On the outside of the circle it was also clear. The circle did not move and no visible clouds that were in the immediate area were moving as well. Its as if someone just flew up there and drew a huge circle of dust around the sky and the moon just happened to be in the middle. Weird? Dissipation occurred 1 1/2 hours later. Temp 80F - sea level. If it a bigger ring around the moon ,it is called halo;if it smaller ring,it is called carona.Halo is produced by the refraction of moon light by ice crystals contained in the high clouds like cirrostratus.Carona is produced by the diffraction of the moon light by water droplets contained in the lower clouds such as altostratus.

Cutting wood at a large angle? Does anone know if it is possible to cut wood at an angle as large as around 160 and if so, which tool or method is best to use? The circular saw i have only will do up to a 50 degree angle. Many thanks, Natalee Depending on the dimensions of the wood that you are cutting you may be able to cut the compliment of 160 degrees from the opposing side which would be 20 degrees. That is if I'm understanding you correctly. Hope this helps.

Saw 2 large white birds in Manchac, Louisiana. They flew high like eagles in a circular motion.? They were soaring? Not flapping often, right? Possible hawk, or very well could be an Osprey. If you could describe the tail it would be easier to identify. Without a tail description, it's hard to say. Egrets and pelicans don't fly in circles they way you are saying. Look towards the raptor family.

How to make straight cuts on large pieces of wood with small tools? I have a 4' x 8' piece of plywood, and I need to cut a lot of pieces out of it. Many of the pieces are pretty big and can't be perfectly cut using the fence on my little table saw (which can only measure up to 10" straight cuts). Plus, it's really hard to manage this huge piece of wood on my own. I need to use almost every piece of it, and I can't just make rough cuts. What's the best way to make perfect cuts on this piece? I have a table saw with a very small table and no extension, a large circular saw, a small chop saw and a bigger sliding chop saw, and a router. Personally, I would get a long framing level, the kind that is 48 inches long or more.
Measure your cuts and draw the lines, then secure the level to the work piece with C-Clamps in such a position that when the guard of the circular saw is pushed sideways against the side of the level, the blade lines up with the line you want to cut.
