headlights? I have a 2008 new accord sedan. The type of headlights is multi-reflection halogen. I think one of the two headlights is supposed to go out first rather than having both headlights off at the same time. Is it right? When one of the headlights goes out, does the headlight get dimmed gradually before it completely goes out? or does it just go dead all of the sudden without dimming first? probably i explained wrong. I meant one headlight is dimmer than the other and i wonder why it happens, is it because it's getting worn out or is it defective problem? See what your owner's manual says and ask your dealer at your next oil change so you can get it fixed free under warranty if there's a problem.

After changing my factory headlights in my truck, I can not get them to turn off. How can I fix this? I replaced my 2000 Ford 150 headlights, wiring the positive and ground appropriately.I wired the blue wire to my blinker lights; they came on & worked well until I cut my lights off. My headlights would not go off! I then replaced my headlight switch, put my factory headlights back in & all of these actions failed to correct the problem of my headlights not turning off unless I disconnect the fuses for my headlights. Any suggestions @ the source of my problem? You wired them - obviously - wrong.
Open the other headlight. Follow the colors. Try and copy color codes of that one to this one.
If both lights stay on, then you have obviously connected one of them that is in parallel with the other.
One is the control; the other is the slave.
Way to check it is: disconnect the wires in one of them, preferably the one you worked on. If the other light works, then the control light is the one that is working.
You have directly connected the battery to the bulb slave terminals. The wire coming from the ignition switch / or the on-off switch will be coded yellow or some other. You have to identify that using the voltmeter. If you do not have one, that's ok, just go trial and error.

What's the difference between blue headlight bulbs and hid headlights? I'm intrested in getting some of those blue headlights for my jeep grand Cherokee. I am not sure whether or not to get just blue bulbs(if they exist) or the full blown hid lights. I'm not real sure what the difference is between them other than price? Do the bulbs look the same as the full blown hid headlight? Do they both look the same from the outside but hids just have more light output? And help make the headlights brighter? if you get a blue halogen bulb its just that a regular halogen with some tint. Now if your looking for some light then you go with the hid( xenon) You can get different colors then blue just depending on the kelvin. go with the more advanced lighting... i got my for my jeep at http://www.carhidkits.com/jeep-83/... its worth it

Which aftermarket headlights should i buy if my stock lights have the stock xenons? I have a 2002 S430 and was planning on buying some aftermarket headlights. But some say "will not fit on factory HID System" . Which headlights should i buy than? I think i do have the stock xenon. Hello I hope this helps. your bulb size for your car is a d2s. i suggest this website because i have a benz my self and they are pretty affordable and good quality. I bought two pairs 6000k which is a white with a blue tint and 8000k which is a blue light color. The reason i bought two was just to change it once in awhile. They are easy to install too. just take out original and put new one.

by the way your stock hid bulbs is a 4300k color the 6000k and 8000k are much brighter.

How to take off headlights in order to install new bulbs for a 2001 honda accord? I recently got some of those blue bulbs for the headlights and I have no clue how to remove the headlights in order to pop the bulbs in? I tried taking off the whole bumper and still could not get the headlight to pop off. Any sort of trick or something that i dont know about? You do not need to remove the headlights. The bulbs go into the back of the headlight assembly. Look under the hood for wires going to a plug and a black plastic ring that you unscrew to pull out the bulbs. This should also be in your car's owners manual.

Headlights? I am looking for these headlights i see them everywhere there almost like projection lamps. There really bright bright bright blue i seen them on older cars 95-2005. Im trying to find out the brand and what there called? Those very annoying lamps are HID headlamps. They require special circuitry to operate so conversion on older cars is quite expensive.
There are nearHID lamps available which have dyed bulbs that produce almost the same annoying light but are plug-in replacements that operate as OEM lamps.
Check out Sylvania or Phillips headlamps at your local chain store. Ask for 'near HID' headlamps.

How do I get rid of and prevent condensation in my headlights? I have a 2006 Scion xB, and a few months ago I installed some halo projector headlights that I bought from ebay. A couple of weeks later, I noticed that the driver's side headlight was getting a little condensation, but it would dry up in about a day, but now that it's winter, there's a huge amount of condensation in that headlight and it won't go away. I've tried putting some glue all around the headlight to see if that would help, but it seemed to trap even more water in there. The weird thing is, it's only on the driver's side headlight, the passenger side headlight is crystal clear. I've also noticed in other car's that it's usually the driver side headlight that gets condensation more than the passenger side. Can anyone explain why this happens to only or mainly the driver side headlight and is there anything one can do to get rid of it and prevent it from occuring? Two things come to mind with this problem. First is that you may not have gotten the bulb socket improperly installed, so the headlight assembly is not "Air Tight", or possibly the rubber O-ring seal got torn on re-installation. Secondly, the headlight housing itself is not sealed properly, allowing moisture to enter the light assembly. If this is the case, it should still be under warranty. Take it back to the dealer and have them repair/replace the headlight assembly. I don't believe that changing your headlight bulbs will void your warranty, unless you broke something (but a good dealership should replace it anyways). Good Luck, HTH!!

How do i aim headlights in a 2006 sentra? The manual says nothing about aiming headlights. If anybody knows how to aim headlights on a 2006 sentra it would be greatly appreciated because i don't want to go to nissan to have them aim them. How do I remove and clean my headlights? Anyone know how to remove headlights on a '97 ford contour? There is a long screw sticking up that i can't get unscrewed and i'm using the right tool, and I don't know how the headlights would come out either. My Headlights are yellow because they're worn out, so instead of paying around $250 for new headlights i'd rather take them out and clean them myself. Any good suggestions on how to clean them? I've heard toothepaste or pam cooking spray? I answered this for another person and will repost the same reply with this exception. Don't worry about removing them from the car. This method I will give works fine in the car and is easier since you will be sanding them the car holds them steady for you. It would be harder to hold and sand them out of the car. I have done 20 or so cars with this and they all look like new. Pasted response follows:
I have used this product many times and it works to make headlights look practically new and does not fade back over time. Go to Advance Auto Parts and get a product for cleaning lenses in a silver foil package. I don't remember the name but it costs 19.99. It comes with 2 different grits of sand paper and rubber gloves and 2 different chemical packages. You wet sand the lenses with the first grit to take away the bad, weathered coating. You then use the first cleaner and change to the next finer grit wet sandpaper to sand to smooth the lenses to slick finish. The last chemical has an applicator cloth that you put on to seal the plastic and it makes it shine like new money. I have done many cars with this and some of them are over a year now and look like new. Depending on size of lights it will take 45 minutes to an hour to do, but the results are amazing. My 2000 voyager looked trashed but now it looks like new headlights and I did it about 8 months ago. The package is about 6 inches by 8 inches maybe and is not thick at all. It looks like an envelope really. Doh- I just called Advance for you while I'm typing. It is made by CV it is called Headlight Restorer and Defogger. Advance's part number is 00101. The computer at Advance will find the product by that number. Try this you'll be amazed. I have tried many other products and none come close to this.

What is causing my headlights to stay on? I have a 1998 Ford Contour and the headlights stay on constantly now, I turn off the switch and turn off the car. All the dashboard lights go off, but the headlights wont go off until I disconnect the battery. I want to know what is causing it and to make sure its a headlight switch before I pay the company $300 bucks or if it could possible be something else. I dont wanna take it to a mechanic just yet because they charge a $75 diagnostic fee. Any idea whats wrong with it? It could be a bad relay. Grab your owners manual, find the relay for the headlights under the hood, and swap out with another one in the fuse box, if the lights go off, you'll know. It'll save you a lot of money, then mail me the remainder of the $300, ok?
