My dad just bought me a Walther P22 handgun for my birthday and it didnt come with the 5 inch barrel and the local gun show is in town so was trying to figure out if it was legal to buy the piece since im only 20. Anyone know leave me an answer plz You can purchase all the handgun parts you want, at any age....EXCEPT the "FRAME"-That portion of a firearm that has the serial # stamped into or upon it. For that portion you must be 21. So YES go buy the barrel.

Tokarev Handgun Parts? I have an ongoing project in restoring a very much worn Tokarev model 54-I handgun I bought a little under a year ago. I stripped the original bluing with hydrocholic acid- don't worry, I neautralized the acid and it's lubricated with Hoppes Oil till I can get a new finish going, so right now it has that near-stainless look. All the parts in it work just fine, I took it completely apart and cleaned each and every piece, and it's back together. Now my question is, are the parts, with the exception of the safety, of course, compatible with the T-33 gun and other variants? I'm aware there are 9mm variants and barrels, but I own the 7.62x25 model. It's a Norinco, if that helps. Just need to know if many of the parts of the 7.62 types are universal, and where I can find them. Note: more than anything looking for a firing pin replacement, already bought two more magazines. Ok, some of the 9mm variations use a filler block in the magazine well. They also use a shorter magazine to better accommodate the shorter 9x19 round. I have also seen several that also have a slightly different ejector/hammer group, so that the 9x19 feeds more reliably in the gun. What that means is that you can't simply convert some of the 9x19 guns to 7.62x25 by just swapping out the barrel. You need to get a different hammer group, pull the block out of the magazine well, and use the longer 7.62x25 length magazines. The rest of the parts are the same, for the most part. So, no, all the parts for these guns are not universal. However, among the 7.62 versions, almost all of the parts should fit other guns in the t-33 series. Some of them may need a bit of hand fitting, but that is only to be expected. I have swapped slides in my chinese guns (7.62 and 9mm), and on my Romanian one. Everything seemed to work just fine. The weird 9mm hammer group fit all of the guns just fine as well.
As for replacement parts, look at gunparts co (e-gunparts.com), or check with century arms, as they were the ones who imported a bunch of the Romanina ones recently. Either of them might have the parts you need. I wouldn't stress too much about hte firing pin though. It is the firing pin in the CZ-52 that is noted for breaking. Not the Tokarev. I have had my Chinese one for 15 years, and never had a problem with it. And I have probably close to 10,000 rounds through it. And I dry fired it for years for practice/training, with no ill effects.

Do you need to be a certain age to buy parts for a handgun? I ask because my father's birthday is coming up and i want to buy a new slider and rounded hammer for his 1911. I'm wondering if I need to be a certain age to just buy the parts. I'm 16. Okay, thank you for your feed back. Okay, so I can buy the slider and hammer but I can't buy a full handgun or handgun frame. No, you only have to be of age to buy a whole handgun, frame or ammunition.
Parts, accessories and magazines can be bought by anyone at any age. You shouldn't have any trouble buying a slide and hammer.
Call up your local gun store or send the online place you want to order from an email, even though its legal some places have a policy of not selling anything to anyone under 18.
Also there's no such thing as a "gun license" in 99% of the USA.

Is it possible to order many different parts that make up a certain make/model of handgun...? ...without having to get registered to own a handgun? Like, is it possible to order all the parts that make up a certain make and model of .380, assemble them into a complete and functional handgun, without having to go through same process as someone who buys a handgun? Not a criminal, just curious. The part of the firearm that has the serial number, the frame is actually considered to be the firearm. You can buy all the other parts without having to go thru a dealer, but when it comes time to by the serial numbered part, you must go thru a dealer and do the paper work.

what part of a handgun cant be shipped to my door? I am trying to figure out what part of the handgun needs to be sent to an FFL and what part can be sent to my house. Example: i am under the impression that when buying an AR15 i can have the upper sent to my house but not the lower. is this the same case with the handgun? can i have everything but the barrel sent to me? or everything but the handle? I believe every part that is sold on the internet and does not ask to have it sent to a registered FFL dealer, can be sent to your house.

Handgun stock and barrel parts? I noticed they have a 1911 and glock buttstock and barrel attachment for more accurate and power full gun. It say's it turns your handgun into a carbine but I don't know if it helps it that much. What FPS do's it make it go anyway. I've looked all over online! and is it realy that much more better anyway and worth it. But stock does help but only by creating another point of anchor, there by aiding accuracy.
Basically better weapon foundation creating improved accuracy.
Longer barrel equals longer sight alignment all so aiding in accuracy.
Longer barrel allows better utilization of powder to a point which would help a little but not much, the powder used in handguns with short barrels is faster burn rate then rifles ammo.
Ammo Manufactures try to get in the 90% to 95% of powder utilization on had guns with 4 to 6 inch barrels, there by the longer barrel would put to use that 5 % to 10% or less not utilized in the standard 4 to 6 inch barrels upping FPS just a little.
