I have heard negative things abut the compensated Glock handguns, Why? I have heard negative things about the compensated Glock handguns, can anybody tell me why? Yes, the noise and the flash but i have also heard of people complaining about the front sight getting dirty and it being hard to get a sight picture. What do you think happened to those glock handguns that were stolen from the security people at the NYC airpor? you know the people that came over here with the Israeli PM? and they had their glocks stolen at the Newark airport? The cases got sent to LA in stead of DC then the people at american airlines sent them to Chicago Anybody suspicious here? After Chicago the cases finally were flown to DC and upon arrival they were opened and the guns were gone So what do you think happened to the guns? Obama has them now

Do any 9mm handguns exceed the mag capacity of a glock 17? I was reading up on the glock 17 and the pdf file from the glock website stated that a glock 17 can hold a max of 33 rounds at any given time. That's absolutely incredible. With a few 33 round magazines, you would practically never have to reload them. Does anyone know if there is a 9mm handgun that has a higher mag capacity than a glock 17? I know that the glock 17 doesn't come with a 33 round mag. But you can buy the 33 round mags separately and use it in the glock 17. So, there are a few guns with a stock capacity greater than the Glock 17. However, Glock, like a very few other companies (Beretta most notably with the 93R) makes a machine pistol version of their handgun called the Glock 18. I believe the factory 33 round mag was originally developed to support the 18. I believe the Beretta 93R magazines were 20 rounds stock, and their may be aftermarket magazines that are higher capacity to support that.
Now, I will say that if you've never seen one, the 33 round magazine is not terribly convenient to tote around. It also takes a long time to load 33 rounds into it. I have a friend with one and we've played with it on occasion.
So, to make short story long, I thing that the factory 33 round magazine is the highest capacity 9mm pistol magazine you can buy. In other calibers there are higher capacity (50 round drum magazine in .45ACP for the 1911), but given your constraints I think that's the one.

Are there any restrictions on buying Glock manufacture handguns in California? I was just curious because i own several handguns that are excepted under the current CA gun laws but i want to buy a glock and i was wondering if there are any restrictions on civilians buying them? I own a glock 23. i bought it from my friend and we went to a liscenced arms dealer to do a private party transfer. There are no specific restriciotn on glock manufactured models except for the glock 18 an auto pistol and some other models that i cant list off the top of my head(i think 25 or something) Other than that u can purchase any other glock 17,19,26,22,23,27, and on n on, provided you have an HSC and are legally able to purchase a handgun in california. Just go to the shop and buy your gun n do the doj background check 10 days and u can pick it up after that. Glocks usually run around 519-600 ive seen around the sf bay area. IF ur law enforcement or military u may be able to get a discount from some dealers. My friend got his glock for 400ish including night sights with a LE discount. Anyways hope i answered ur question. What are the flaws of Glock handguns? I know that a lot of people have brands that they like to stick with. Some people that I talked to said that Glocks are absolute trash. Personally, I find it hard to believe that a handgun that costs $550-$650 is absolute trash. Also, I noticed that a lot of LEO's use them. That being said, what is so bad about the Glock brand? One flaw I came across while researching this question was that the Glock triggers are heavy (bad for accurate firings). Another thing I found out was that Glocks in the past have been sued for safety issues.

The most powerful by far is the 10mm as long as you use full power rounds and not the wimpy FBI rounds. Now, here is a neat fact that no one has yet mentioned. If you get a Glock 20 in 10mm (or Glock 29), you can get replacement barrels in .357Sig or .40S&W and that is all you have to change to shoot that cartridge. Replacement barrels can be found at Wolf Distr for just over a hundred bucks each, so for the price of the gun + $250, you have three guns!
That said, if you want to use it for target shooting, you will want to make a few mods to the Glock. Get a brass weight that inserts in the backstrap well to give the weapon better balance and less recoil, also get a steel recoil spring guide rod and heavier spring (19-21 lbs). You can improve the trigger with a simple drop in part as well.
Yes, there are better weapons out there for more $$$, but few are as versatile and reliable as the Glock.

Which handguns are similar to the glock 19? I am planning on getting a glock 19. All major gun manufacturers have very little unintentional discharge problems with their weapons, Glock included.

What are reputible companies, and why are they reputible? The federal gun law of 1968 prohibits sales of guns through the mail (and also online). You can shop for them online, but you have to go through a dealer to actually finalize the purchase, verify your ID and background, etc. The only time I ever heard of someone buying a gun online was when someone forged a dealer ID of some kind, which is a SERIOUS FEDERAL CRIME.

Are the compensated Glock handguns a commercial success? What are the sales figures? I could not tell you the figures either. I can tell you that I bought the Springfield Armory XD Ported 9mm and I love it. As for being a poor tactical weapon, I would not use it for home defense due to a possible close quarter fight although he sees the muzzle flash he will feel it too.
As for training and practice it was the best thing I ever bought. There is little recoil on my 9mm. It feels almost like a .22 caliber semi-auto. I have better control and placement of follow up shots. It has improved my aim with other handguns that are bigger and have bigger calibers. There is defiantly a difference.
I also prefer the XDs over Glocks because of their added safety features and they are just as reliable as Glocks.
