i am just starting to airsoft and i need a good gun for under 100? i want to use it for target practice but i want it dead accurate so i can hit anything from as far away as possible i want it to be a handgun with as many extras as possible (flashlight laser silencer) I am thinking of purchasing the Cybergun taurus Pt because of good reviews and they say it is accurate i do not want a gas gun soo i want it electric or spring pleeezzz answer i have to get it quick
Well... the thing is, the more "extras" a gun comes with ,usually the less quality they are. I would highly recommend NOT going for a gun with lots of pretty little cheap plastic accessories. Flashlight is not worth it, Laser is useless, scope is dumb on a pistol... Trust me, it's not worth it.
For $100 you can get a pretty accurate gun, but if you really want a pistol go to AirsoftGI... they have some good deals on Gas and Electric pistols, with a 10% off your total order if you use the coupon code "tim"
Instead of getting a pistol why not get a small submachine gun? The Galaxy MP5K is really good, just get a better battery for it. It's pretty accurate out to 80 feet and has a good sized magazine.
Gas pistols tend to fail in cold weather and need frequent care and cleaning so I don't go with gas weapons. Electric weapons also need a little care (clean the barrel every once in a while and lube the hop up with 100% silicon lube).
The main tip is to do a little more research before you buy things so you don't regret later.
Question about Gravity Feed Airsoft Guns? Can someone please explain how gravity feed works? The airsoft gun that I ordered not too long ago has a large capacity (500-600) BB magazine that has gravity feed in it, and I've never heard of it before. The rest of the specs for the gun seem decent, but I heard good things and bad things about the gravity feed part.
I've read the reviews of it and the gun seems to have a lot of positives to it. It has 180 - 250 FPS firing velocity, scope, flashlight, and laser sight, as well as it's an AEG type that shoots up to 5-15 rounds per second.
But my main question to everyone is:
Are gravity feed guns worth it?

well insted of using a magazine/clip you pour bbs into a part of the gun then the part that you poured the bbs into has a whole in it that the bbs drop into the firing mecanizam thats how they hold so so many bbs here are the pros and cons of gravity fed guns

What do you think of the Itzbeen baby timer? It's a device you can use to record the diaper changes, breastfeeds, naps...etc. It's gotten great reviews online but what do you think? It has an alarm on it so you can set it to go off every two hours or whatever, based on your needs. Also at night it has a "flashlight" mode on it. I think it works great if their are alot of ppl involved in your child's care..ie grandparents.
What are some of the best rechargeable flashlights (solar/winding/shaking/plug-in/etc)? I think I would like a solar or electrical outlet plug-in rechargeable flashlight for home use, especially for power outages, and a winding/shaking one to keep in the glove box of my vehicle.

i have tried a couple wind up lights in my vehicle and they dont last. i think the temp and humidity swings have an effect on generator and/or battery. i now have an LED 2 cell for the car now. it holds up fine.
i've had good luck with this wind up from radio shack. keep it in the house near crawl space for emergency reasons. tornado/asteroid strike or nuke fall out. (gosh i hope none of this ever happens)

Blood hunter flashlight? I've read a lot of bad reviews so i was wondering if someone knew how to make one instead of spending $60 on one.
Don't waste your time or money on those "gimmick" flashlights. Simply buy yourself a common 4 D cell Mag-Lite with a 3watt LED bulb and the Mag-Lite accessory colored lens kit.
Take the rubber lens holder that is in the kit and place the blue lens in it and slip it over the bezel of the flashlight. The blue lens will make any blood in the area literally jump out at you. The blue lens also preserves your night vision (like the red lens does).
If you need bright white light, simply slide off the rubber lens holder off of the front of the flashlight.
I keep my lens kit in a quart sized ziploc freezer bag in my pack to protect from scratches when I'm not using it.

Looking for a flashlight: cheap, durable, long battery life? I just bought a Princeton Tec Amp 3.0 LED Flashlight at REI but when I got home I looked up the reviews and it has like 2 stars, and of course they are accompanied by lots of complaints. What I'm looking for is what this flashlight would be like if it had 5 stars.
It was $20 and says it has a battery life of 90 hours at 40 lumen. This would be perfect if it didn't have a tendency to fail randomly or get really dim after a couple hours. (According to reviews.)
My priorities are:
longer battery life > more brightness
durability > fancy features
I don't need any kind of adjustable beam or SOS flashing or anything. Just one setting is all I need, on a flashlight that will last a long time and not die. (More than one setting is fine but I won't use it.) I don't want it to need recharging either, because I'm going to use it for camping so I just want to change the batteries and not mess around. And as inexpensive as possible would definitely be good, although I realize this sacrifices quality, so if you have a more expensive one you like, I'd like to hear about that too.
(I know it can be done though!! I have a Photon micro-light. It's perfect but I need a bigger light sometimes.)
For around $25-30 you could get a Maratac LED 1xAAA or 1xAA flashlight, or the OLight i2 (1xAA) or i3 (1xAAA) flashlight.
I own several of the Maratac 1xAAA lights and can vouch for their excellent quality, reliability (even when abused), brightness and run-time. Specs: 18 Lumens for 4 hours --> 1.5 Lumens for 50 hours --> 80 Lumens for 48 minutes; almost double that with Energizer Lithium (disposable) or Sanyo Enelo (rechargeable) batteries. Maratac is sold by http://www.countycomm.com, and they also make a 1xAA version of this flashlight with almost double the run times in each mode.
The only negative for you is the Maratac starts off in medium (18 lumens) mode, then goes to low and finally high with each twist of the head. This could be inconvenient if you always used high, but I find medium works for most things I do (slightly brighter than a Maglite Mini-Maglite with fresh batteries). These are regulated lights so the output stays constant until the battery is completely dead.
I also own several OLights, though not the i2 or i3, but the models I do have are also well made, reliable and bright (though far above your price range).
Walmart also sells inexpensive LED flashlights, but have no experience with their reliability.
LED Flashlight with a Telescopic Inspection Mirror? I am looking for a telescopic mirror, the mini ones like what you would use to look into tiny crevaces in a motor or such....but one with a light. I found this one:

Will a black light really illuminate blood? I am trying to find a better way to track wounded animals, and it looks like blood tracking flashlights aren't getting rave reviews. I have seen all these tv shows where investigators find blood using black lights and was wondering if that is TV magic or if it really works. If so, is there a specific type of black light needed to do this? They are spraying luminol on an area and it reacts to cause blood to show up under a blacklight. It doesn't do that without the luminol.
