is there anywhere or anyone is singapore that makes fishtanks or glasstanks? i need to custom make a fish tank or glass tank that is 80cm x 40cm x 60cm. do you have any ideas where i can have it made or anyone who supplies them? You can try the below, saw it mentioned on a few Singapore aquarists' forums.

How much do 'dolphins' cost, the little blue fish for fishtanks? Dont buy one they die really easy, i had 2 and they lived for about a week..

How often should I clean my fishtanks? I have a 2.5 gallon with a betta and a small snail 5 gallon with a betta and a couple of other snails 10 gallon with 5 2 inch goldfish they all have filters and the betta tanks are heated Once a week 25% water changes as well as siphoning out waste from the gravel.
(btw the goldfish are going to need a larger tank eventually)

What do they do to the fish on fishtanks in supermarkets? You know, the live fish on some aquarium on the meat section. Are they being sold alive or dead? If they're going to end up dead anyway, then why do they have to keep them on an aquarium? Why not just kill them and then display them on a large freezer like the rest of the fish on the meat section? Supposedly it's to keep them fresh.
It doesn't.
Those fish are starving and choking on their own waste. How is that fresh? The fish are consuming nutrients stored in their livers and fat, so we don't get those nutrients. The fish are absorbing ammonia, nitrites and nitrates from their own waste that they are swimming in.
The fish are in those tanks because people are stupid, that is the only reason.

is there such thing as evaporation on fishtanks? we just got a 55 gallon fishtank and for some reason the water went down, is there such thing is evaporation on this? wat do i need to do and should i leave the top open or atleast a little bit of the top open? Yes, it happens all the time! A glass cover will help reduce evaporation, but won't stop it completely. Also, if you use a glass cover it keeps fish from jumping out of your tank, but if you use aquarium lights, it may cause the water temperature to rise, so you have to keep an eye on this.
All you need to do is keep a gallon jug or two of water on hand and top off you tank as necessary. Chances are you won't be using that much water if you top off every 2-3 days, so you can let the water sit to drive off any chlorine. If you use aquarium salt, don't add any to the water you use to top off, because the salt doesn't evaporate and you'll be raising the concentration every time you fill up.

Tips on hiding the aeration in fishtanks? I have a 10 gallon planted tank, and im putting in an aeration system, and i want some tips on hiding the tube and making the bubbles look cool.Would it look nice coming up from behind the bogwood piece i have? You can get different air stones and bubble curtains in many lengths. Some of them have led lights and some can be shaped in to a circle. The have suction cups on them so that you can position them as you want without worry of them floating up. It is also a good idea to use a gang valve on them so that you can regulate the air flow to what you want.

Does it look trashy if you have 2 fishtanks in a very small room? My room is tiny, and I'm having 2 fishtanks in it, and they are so oddly shaped. One is a hexagon and is tall, the other one is just a ton of sides and angles and it looks so odd. My room is already pretty much cluttered up with things like my bed, the bedside table, the little TV, my dressers, you know. I was wondering if it looks bad to have 2 oddly shaped fishtanks in your room. Thanks! As long as you aquascape it nicely, it should look great!

Could i use Gravel from the river for my fishtanks? I really love the natural gravel how it looks and everything but i was woundering if i could go down to the river and fill up a bullet full of gravel and wash it so i can use it for my fish and frogs? you could use it, but you run the risk of getting contaminants, heavy metals, etc. from them. There is also a risk of introducing parasites and bacteria from these rocks and gravel. Minerals in the local gravel could affect your water ph levels too. Whatever you decide, if you use the gravel, make sure to decontaminate it as well as washing it. You could use bleach, but unless you thoroughly wash it out, could kill your fish. I would recommend "baking" it. After it is cleaned, put it in baking pans and heat it in your oven. 200 degrees for about 30 minutes. That will kill any bacteria or parasites in the gravel without leaving any harmful chemicals.

Could i replace all downstairs inerior walls with floor to ceiling tropical fishtanks - would that be possible In theory and money allowing. On my dream house i would have all downstairs interior walls be tropical salt water fish tanks. I would also have tunnel fish tanks in the floor, like at the aquarium. So that the rooms could be made private, i would have the fish tanks made of that glass which frosts over when you hit the switch. Could that be done? What would your extravagance be if money were no object? You could theoretically do it for most interior walls, but it wouldn't work for the ones which are "load bearing." Load bearing walls need to absorb the weight of the roof and trusses. How would you deal with filtration and oxygenation of the aquarium(s?) Most walls in a home are either 4 1/2 inches or 6 1/2 inches, it would be pretty tight, hydrodynamically.
