How can the dynamo effect produce the strong magnetic fields we have observed at all four Jovian planet in our? While all Jovian planets rotate quickly, no Jovian planet has a molten iron core. How then can the dynamo effect produce the strong magnetic fields we have observed at all four Jovian planets in our solar system? ALL of the Jovian planets HAVE to have a liquid iron core to generate magnetic fields that are stronger than Earth's, along with rapid rotation. Liquid or solid hydrogen cannot produce a large magnetic field because of electron degeneracy.

How would one install a bicycle hub dynamo, with out buying a new set of spokes, and/or rim? Will the spokes we have curently fit the dynamo? If this is not so, where can we get the right sized spokes? We are highschool seniors and we have a budget of around 50 dollars, also only about 50 days left to finish our project. Any info or advise is greatly appreciated. Thanks! oh good grief

no they won;t fit if the dyno hub is differently sized than the original - which it probably is
also the dyno needs to have same number of spoke holes as the rim

How much power can be sustained by a kinetic movement dynamo? I'm interested in the application of kinetic movement dynamo's (as found in kinetic watches) to other devices. Can anybody tell me how much energy can be captured and sustained by a kinetic movement dynamo with for example the normal movement if the device was in your pocket and you were walking around? Bearing in mind I know hardly anything about science... Very little. Think of the energy stored in a watch.

How do you build a simple bicycle dynamo? I was just wondering how to make a simple, easy to build dynamo to attach to my indoor bicycle machine, for a school project. How to turn on the dynamo lights on my Pashley bike? I've just bought a Pashley bike and it has built in dynamo lights on the front and rear. I have pulled out a tag on the back light which I thought would engage the light to the dynamo but this hasn't seemed to work. With the front one I can't see a tag and it just isn't working. Do you know what I'm doing wrong or what I need to do? Thanks :) Most of the time you just have to flip the dynamo over so it contacts the tire.

How or where do I get a dynamo to power 3 small bulbs and a small pump? I need to power the smallest pump possible and two or three random sized bulbs. How can I calcululate the voltage produced by a generator of a dynamo? I have made a small dynamo using insulated copper wire a magnet which consists of two poles. I think that the voltage of the dynamo woulg depend on number of turns. Am I correct? Please explain. You know the dynamo is nothing but a DC generator and the generated voltage is E=pi*z*N*P/60*A

How to calculate power generated by dynamo? I want to calculate the current / voltate / power generated by a portable dynamo system. I know the physical dimensions of the system, rotor speed, magnetic force and all the relevant details. Does anyone know what is the formula for doing calculations? Current- current cannot be produced it is drawn by a load.
