Dorcy lanterns? When my father passed away he had a Dorcy lantern with 2 - 6 inch florescent bulbs. My mother and I are trying to figure out what size batteries. Is it 2 large 9V square or what. It DOES NOT say what type of batteries it takes. We would like to get it working for her (mom) in case of power outages. Thanks. Without seeing it its hard to tell. I am going to take a wild guess that it takes a square six volt battery. Its about 3 inches square and 6 inches tall with two spring coil terminals on top.

dorcy LED flashlight i have a LED dorcy flashlight that runs at 110 lumens with 3 AAA batteries. i know a AAA has 950 mah and i want to know how it outpreforms my surefire G2 LED at 80 lumens on 2 3v cr123a batteries. i know it has to do with the efficiency of the bulb which has a yellow tint to it so i can run on the 4.5v source. finnally i want to how i can tell how long a battery will run at a surtain voltage. or if you need to know the wattage and how do mah,volts,watts interweve in this subject. You need the wattage or the current before you can make any comparisons, and even that won't tell you how long the battery will last unless you have the capacities of the batteries.
If you know the current, you can multiply by the voltage to get the wattage.
To find the actual capacity of the batteries, get the amp-hr number, which may or may not be available, and multiply by the battery voltage to get watt-hours.
With battery capacity in watt-hrs, and lamp power in watts, you can divide to get hours of life.
One problem is that amp-hr capacities are only approximate, and vary with current level.

How long will it take for my ankle to recover fully? I broke my ankle in several places in August 2010, I received a metal pin on the inside of my ankle and a metal plate on the outside of my ankle. I was not given a cast, I was given a protective boot type thing called a dorcy wedge to be worn while resting. I was told to practice physio therapy from the day I was discharged and visited a physiotherapist weekly. It is now March 2011 and I have been discharged from both the hospital and the physiotherapist as it has been over six month since the accident, however, I still suffer really bad pain, swelling and stiffness. My ankle still wont move certain ways and I cant sit comfortably in certain ways either. I am a dancer so this is quite worrying, it aches quite a lot as well and I still find myself limping a lot. I am a dancer so this is quite worrying. Is this normal and how long will it take for my ankle to recover fully or should I visit my DR?

My old sears professional rechargeable flashlight quit. I work in attics and such and need a good flashlight? Sears (for some reason?) quit making their old professional rechargeable flashlight with the real glass bulb (about 4 inches in diameter) and an adjustable base so you could position it aimed at a spot while you worked. Dorcy makes one that looks the same but it's a poor imitation of a great flashlight. Doesw anyone know of a good "working" flashlight? Rechargeable would be nice but not essential. Thanks try this link to a flashlight that is part of an entire tool system that uses the same battery ....you will have to but the battery and charger too but it is a really nice setup for the money. I use several of the tools and the flashlight everyday in my work.

Mag Lite 3 D Cell Bulb.? What is the part # of this bulb/light or which bulb/light would be a replacement for it.The flash light is 7 years old and I tried to replace the bulb with Dorcy 2.4 volts but bruned them both. Stores that sell the mag lites should have replacements.

You should give Batteries Plus a try, they might have a store near where you live and they'll figure it out for you free of charge and they'll have the new battery you need if you didn't already bought one.
