I need an electonic compass and thermometer for my Che2000,one that fits in the rear view mirror.? In most modern car there is a digital thermometer and compass read out in the rear view mirror.maybe i have to replace the rear view mirror with a new one from any car model that has this feature.any reccommded product to choose from. You're really are just meaning a digital [elec] display NOT an expensive gyromagnetic compass such as aircraft use, so you should be able to find something.

I recently replaced the thermostat in my car ? The car was overheating and I blew a gasket. So I replace the head gasket and put it all back together. It ran good for a few weeks but now the car is running too cold. I put in 2 aftermarket stats and finally gave up with those and got an original part from the Honda dealer. It seems to warm up to the right temperature Then it drops again then goes back up. It never stays put. And if I turn on the heater it will drop almost to cold and not go back up to where its supposed to. I took it in to get it checked and the mechanic Said the temp Is where it's supposed to be at he put a digital thermometer and Showed me and it was between 185 and 195. So I turned on the heater an temp dropped to 160 to 165 is that normal. It never did this before even when turning on the heater it always stayed at the right spot on the gauge. For a while I was getting really bad gas mileage. Close to 12 mpg less then usual. Could it be the coolant temp sensor telling the car to run rich because it thinks it's cold. Or is 165 too cold to be running the engine at. My car is a 99 Honda civic ex d16y8 motor. I have tried everything an nothing seems to work. Please. If you could help me out. My car last got 31 mpg so it's back to getting good gas mileage as of right now but sensor still says cold. The original thermostat from Honda which I just bought is 172. Before that I had a 180 stat. Should I try the 195 stat and see if that works. I would think that the original one from Honda would work no problem so It leads me to nothing. need to do that burping with the heater on full! warm engine, cool, burp, repeat. don't see that nipple in the book. but that wont be a first time issue with chilton/haynes books.

if you still have issues after burping the coolant system with the heater on full,
check the ETC (engine temp control) sensor on the t-stat housing.

what maybe happening is if the sensor is bad, the vehicle otherwise runs at proper temp, but the computer sees the temp is skewed. the computer thinks it has to adjust for cold conditions and enriches the mixture. that equals poor mileage. this condition can overwhelm your catalytic converter as well.
this is a '99 vehicle. OBDII (on board diagnostics). if needed, should be able to pull some codes to help in diagnosing the issue.

I currently live in Pheonix Arizona right now and when I cant find shade to park my car? My steering wheel gets incredibly hot and I cannot even touch it. Also, when I step into my car and turn it on the digital thermometer can sometimes read 200F. Are there any ways in making it tolerable sitting in you car when going somewhere? SURE! - (I use) a car-window shade. These SUN SHADES (as they are called) simply lie on the dashboard of the car to block the sunlight from shining on the dashboard, steering wheel or interior.
As you imply (and I have personally experienced the times I traveled through Phoenix) try to keep your car under a water-mist to keep it cool.
OR - Try to keep your car covered with a white bed sheet when it is outdoors. This might be a bit EXTREME, but under the torrent of dry heat that AZ. has, ANY "UNIQUE" IDEA helps.

I'm looking for specific cars? I am going to help my grandfather go and pick out a car, and he wants a car that has a digital thermometer and compass in it. It doesn't have to be an overhead compass and thermometer, but it needs to be digital temperature and compass read out so that they have to be able to tell the direction that they are going and that they know the outside temperature and are able to go out. So, does anybody know of any cars that has a temperature and compass installed (it doesn't have to be overhead) and that are new? They can be fitted as option to any vehicle.

I am driving a friend's toyota spacio (akin to toyota corolla). The gauges are all digital.? There isn't a manual in the car, otherwise, I'd look there. There is a blue thermometer light that comes on when I start the car and stays on for a little while when I'm driving. Then goes off. I don't know if this is just indicating the engine is cold (it's winter here in NZ and a bit chilly) or if I need water/anti-freeze. Can anyone help? Thanks. We don't have a Spacio in the US, but what you describe sounds similar to an Echo. The blue thermometer does indicate a cold engine and that performance may not be ideal until it warms up. Most lights on Toyota will light up amber or red if they present a serious problem and need further inspection. To play it safe though, inspect all fluid levels when the engine is cool. where is the best place to attach an outdoor CAR thermometer for outdoor temperature? I have a "Perfect Solutions" digital indoor/outdoor car thermometer (the outdoor thermometer is wired) but I am not sure where to attach the outdoor temperature sensor, but have 10 feet of wire to work with. Am installing this in a Scion XD. Any suggestions would be very helpful! What has worked best for me overall is the front of the car, either dangling free in the grill or hanging down below the front. Attaching it directly to the car can result in the sensor getting heated by the warmth of the car itself. I once also dangled the sensor of an outside mirror and that works well for the most part, though it may not be aesthetically pleasing.

Air Conditioner in Honda: What should the exit air temperature be at the vent? My cars temperature is between 42 and 45, measured by sticking a digital thermometer in the outlet vent. This is when the outside air is about 85. It takes a good 5 to 8 minutes to get down that low. Is the system operating correctly? Your system is performing great!!!!!!! at air/conditioning school here in New England, the most you could ever expect was a 30 degree drop from outside air. This took into effeck the ducts that are 120 degrees while sitting and the plemum chamber that holds the evaporator that bakes in the sun under the hood as well as all of the glass that lets all of that solor heat from the sun. Need some help with this car question? Since this is 2009, this is the question that I want to ask. Does anybody know a car that has a digital overhead console with the year 2009 or 2010? I want to by a car that is either 2009 or 2010, and has an overhead console with a digital thermometer and compass. And it has to be a car, not an SUV or van and I'm hoping I can get some help. Anybody up to it? Why does it have to be an overhead console? Alot of cars have that info in the dash now.
