what will happen if i put a dbox in a 4wd rc monster truck? what will happen if i put an rc dbox into an rc monster truck? Are you using the MT on the road as a drifter? It will work the same as having it on a touring RC car. If you are running it in the dirt, same thing. The DBox just corrects the steering when the RC goes into a slide. It won't be any different that using it on a RC touring car. Hope this helps!

The lay out looks decent for drift balance, but the parts looks weak.. I don't have one ofcourse, looks too "cheap" to be worth the trouble.. you would have to answer that one..
first upgrade I would suppose is a good torque 19 double motor.. get sideways a bit easier with it..
D box is good, works well in the micro RS4 Drift.. don't really know how it will handle working a stock crap speed servo though.. wich would bring me to the second upgrade.. .09sec speed or better servo.. gotta get those wheels left to right fast for the good whip drifts..
Third upgrade would be a better drive shaft (if they even make one) the pictures on HPI-Europe's site looks like its a plastic one.. molded crap... find a good aluminum or carbon shaft.. better rotations, smoother movements...

It automatically applies counter steering to bring the box back to centerline. The sensitivity is adjustable.
To engineer a similar device you will need pressure sensors, a weight and electronic servo electronics (for counter steering signal) as well as a good understanding of the pass through characteristics of your circuit. It will be faster and less trouble to just buy the device already made.
