The design of this necklace was born when I found the focal...it's the most mesmerizing piece of quartz I've ever seen...also known as lodalite, this briolette sparkles...it contains millions of reflective particles - like diamond dust encased in a mossy green faceted beauty. Amazing!
The focal is surrounded by high lustre genuine south sea keishi pearls - baroque nuggets of silver and white with several pearls exhibiting golden tones. I've alternated the pearls with beautifully faceted large and flashy labradorite rondelles. There are also three genuine akoya pearls in this piece.
The fringe topping the focal is comprised of tiny labradorite rounds, saltwater seed pearls, more labradorite rondelles and yet another large south sea keishi pearl.
There are a total of 37 extra large south sea keishi pearls wrapped in this necklace using sterling silver. Because the oyster has expelled the nucleus of the pearl, the resulting keshi pearl is 100% nacre. This gives it an especially lustrous and shimmering surface. Most keshi actually have a greater luster than even the highest quality cultured pearls. Keshi pearls are formed when the oyster rejects the nucleus before the culturing process is complete, or the implanted mantle tissue fractures and forms separate pearl sacs without nuclei. These pearl sacs eventually produce pearls without a nucleus.
This one of a kind creation measures 31" with a 2.5" extender chain. Galatea is created using argentium sterling silver and 14k gold filled wire. The bail is hand coiled and the necklace is finished with a extra large sterling lobster clasp. The lodalite focal weighs 67 cts. and measures 30mm x 35mm. I would describe the color as a mossy sage green.
The labradorite rondelles on the necklace portion have bee wrapped using 14k gold filled wire. The pendant features a misture of both metals.

The Nesaea bracelet has been in the works since November of last year...but with the move and holidays...and custom orders, I had to table it until I was able to complete it. I'm so happy to have the finished piece to present to you! The pearls in this piece are both exotic and rare, especially the silver blue keishi pearls. The larger pearls are nearly impossible to get...I feel extremely fortunate to have the opportunity to work with them.
This bracelet is comprised of large and petite silver blue saltwater keishi pearls, faceted rainbow moonstone rondelles and petite genuine Madagascan blueish green sapphires. All beads and pearls have been double wrapped on argentium sterling silver headpins...which will prevent tarnishing. The clasp and extender chain are sterling silver. You will find three Maluku Islands south sea keishi pearls...huge when speaking of keishis...two finish each end of the bracelet with hand coiled loops and another is featured as a charm dangling off the extender chain.
Take a moment to supersize the photos so you can see the difference between the keishi pearl sizes...they are exceptional pearls but to have the larger keishi pearls to work with...what a treat!

The Agate has been suspended on a silver toned 18 gauge wire and the bottom was hammered to hold this beauty on as well as I have added a faceted pale blue glass bead and a transparent blue glass bead to enhance the beauty at the bottom of the Agate.
To frame this amazing stone, I have handforged 20 gauge .925 sterling filled wire into a pattern of organic shapes and then I have repeated the use of the pale blue glass stones – incorporating them into the hand forged wire forms. To complete this work of art, a shiny silver toned chain was added and made to be adjustable to two different lengths with a lobster claw clasp. A Swarovski clear crystal 4mm, dangle was added at the end of the chain to add a touch of class!

E. tenera are spiral marine gastropods having elongated, spiral shells composed of many whorls. Similarly, coral, petrified wood and other organic remains or porous rocks can also become agatized. Agatized coral is often referred to as Petoskey stone or agate.
Greek agate is a name given to pale white to tan colored agate found in Sicily back to 400 BC The Greeks used it for making jewelry and beads. Today any agate of this color from Sicily, once an ancient Greek colony, is called Greek agate. Yet the stone had been around centuries before that and was known to both the Sumerians and the Egyptians, who used the gem for decoration and religious ceremony.
Another type of agate is Brazilian agate, which is found as sizable geodes of layered nodules. These occur in brownish tones interlayered with white and gray. Quartz forms within these nodules, creating a striking specimen when cut opposite the layered growth axis. It is often dyed in various colors for ornamental purposes.

Marvel Ultimate Alliance DLC? When Marvel Ultimate Alliance was released I bought it for the PS2 but now I want it for Xbox 360. I looked on Wikipedia and I saw that 8 characters (Cyclops,Nightcrawler,Hulk,Hawkeye,Dr. Doom, Venom,Sabretooth,Magneto) are DLC. Can I download ALL of them with the Xbox Live or should I buy the Marvel Ultimate Alliance Gold Edition? They've taken the DLC off of xbox live so if you wish to use the downloadable characters you need to buy the gold edition, though I've heard the price can be kind of hefty, but I honestly have not looked into the prices personally.

I'm having the hardest time writing this 5 page paper for my art class...it's supposed to be on a painting by Odilon Redon "Cyclops" and I'm having a hard time! :( I need to know....info about the lines, space, colors, value, pattern, shape and mass. First of all Redon is considered part of the Symbolist movement. You need to look that up and give bbackgroundan info about that, and Redon's place in the movement.
His content in this painting is about exclusion, lonelinessand being different therefore excluded. The figure of the cyclops is the focal point because of the contrasting values between the darker value figure and the lightest value in the painting -the sky.
The painting is essentially a landscape but with the symbolic figures of the Cyclops and the female figure which also serves as a secondary focal point. This is achieved through the use of warm color around the female figure when basically all the other colors are cool , except of course for the Cyclops.
As stated before the painting is based on landscape and indicates a rather intimate shallow field of space, although in this space the Cyclops is huge.
The colors and painterly quality are almost pattern-like with similar values throughout the foreground.
There are basically three shapes in the painting, the sky, the cyclops and the foreground shape in which the female figure becomes engulfed and obscured as a distinct shape because of similar value.
The foreground functions as a large heavy mass, the sky recedes because of light blue color and the Cyclops seems very dominant and heavy. Hope this helps.
How come practically EVERY mutant dies in xmen the comic books? I haven't read them but i've read the wikipedia articles for most of my favorite characters. Jean Grey dies... Cyclops dies... Kitty gets stuck in a bullet? WTF? Oh but then they come back to life like 6 times lmfao... why do most of the mutants die? Why hasn't Cyclops from X-Men, gotten his Eyes fixed? Don't tell me he can't, because I know he can. There are a bunch of mutants with healing powers out there that could totally help him out.
