Trying to buy a spotlight? Your example shows two different effects.
The first is the circular or oval field of light on the stage that is fairly even in intensity except for the edges which are softened somewhat. That is typical of a type of theatrical spotlight called an "ellipsoidal" or "Leko" that is adjusted to be slightly out of focus. You could probably substitute an old slide projector and use a 2" x 2" piece of white cardboard with a hole cut in it to control the shape. Insert it where the slide would normally go. The flaps shown at the front of the spotlight in your example are called "barn doors" and they aren't actually being used in that particular case.
The second effect is that the cone shaped beam is visible. That means that there is a small amount of smoke, dust, or fog in the air that is scattering some of the light.
The pattern from the rechargeable flashlight/spotlight won't be as even and the edges won't be as well defined.

Question about Proposition 65 "This product contains chemicals that can cause cancer"? I am torn between two flashlights- Coleman LED spotlight OR Cyclops Thor X Sirius. I was leaning towards the Cyclops but Amazon states a Proposition 65 warning. My question is, what is in the product that can cause cancer- if it is a lead battery, don't both product (nearly identical) contain the same potential carcinogens? If so, is it something I should really worry about or can I buy the Cyclops? This is a pointless phrase that can be added to nearly any product.
It may be that there is something that is a tiny internal component that will cause cancer if you ingest it in large quantities - it still gets the warning even if there is no chance of you eating your torch.
Silly warning that makes no distinction between things that are barely possible and other things that are highly likely.

Her tiny child, a boy with fine red curls and blue eyes as round as dimes, looks up at her, as if the blubber inside her face is his own personal bubble wrap, that somehow refuses to pop. They are abstract, weird, sometimes sick. Stupid. But I enjoy them. What is the 4Q file? With some major modifications and a few spell checkers (Jewish, for one) it might just make it to the 4Q file. Must be part of a psychedelic sci- fi movie. But it has potential, for what, I don't know.

changeing spotlight batterys? i got a cyclops 6.5,and i burnt out the battery, i,m trying to put a 12v aqua view battery in it, it fits great but it keeps blowing my fuses, i've try up to a 20a fuse. the 15a fuse that was in it the light turned on a few times then it before the fuse went. with the 20a fuse it didn't even turn on it just went right away. can i just run it with no fuse or is there a way to rig it a different way. please help i'm going muskie fishing tonight and i what my spotlight with it had two 6v batterys that where connected together It uses a 2.6 volt rechargeable lead acid battery. 12 volts is much too high.

I think that wouldn't be as clear as you'd want it, since I can imagine it fading. But I definitely believe that it would be sufficient.

Why are movies so sexist? This is the main role for men and women in action movies. The men are the main characters and the females are the love-interest. Why do they mostly have to put the men before women in actions movies? The women are always second-in-command. They always have to give the men the big role and an important part, but the females are always just going to be the love-interest. Society says that this is no longer a sexist world, but we see hints of sexism just by watching movies or turning on the tv. Examples of sexism in movies by giving the guys the bigger roles than women. The Matrix- Neo is the one while Trinity is his love interests. Percy Jackson and The Olympians- Percy is the main character and Annabeth is his love interest. I Am Number Four- Number Four is the main character and Number Six did way cooler stuff in that movie than Number Four did, but yet it's called "I Am Number Four". It should be called "I Am Number Six". Daredevil- Matt Murdock is the main character while Elektra Natchios is his love interest. Harry Potter- Harry Potter is the main character while Hermione Granger is behind Harry and Ron on the character list. The males outnumber the females. X-Men movies: Cyclops is the leader of the X-Men and Jean, Rogue, and Storm are behind him. The point I'm trying to get across is that men are not always going to be the hero. Females need more time in the spotlight also. This kind of stuff is saying that men are superior than women and it's not true. Men and women are on the same level as eachother. Men can do stuff women can't do. Women can do stuff men can't do. I agree that society is becoming more and more sexist (again) look at the 1920's women were seen as being stupid and emotional and only good for cooking in the kitchen and looking after the children and women were forced to be "dignified" wearing long dresses and such like. Now in the present day the opposite is happening yet the result is still sexist. Women are becoming more and more sexualised and are seen everyday (such as advertisements on TV) as wearing barely any clothes and acting in a sexual manner you never say men in advertisements or whatever acting like that. Its ridiculous.
I think women should be used more as the main,strongist protagonist in these sort of fiction films you talk about. Twilight is a good example of women being "incapable" of taking the lead and need men to rule them. I don't agree with the reference to HP though because Hermione is a very strong character and takes the lead a lot in the series.
