Do you remember when the electricity used to run out and Dad had to switch over to manual? When Dad used to pull the crank which would cause the trap doors to flip over revealing gas lamps which he would fill with Petrol from the garage? And the kids would stop playing computer games, get the cellophane tube and candle and use crossbows to fire at the lantern shadows on the walls? And then Dad would get the key to the dungeon where the Actors and Singers were kept and you would spend the evening watching live shows and plays? Those were the days! Crank rechargeable lanterns? I'm looking at a camping lantern and notice they have crank ones now. What I cant seem to find is how long they last on say i minute of cranking? Has anyone got some experience with these? I got one for Christmas. I get about 2 hours light for 1 minute of cranking. Looks like the medium-priced ones are as good as the expensive ones. The extra-cheap ones I've checked out were rather flimsy.

How can i run a computer on battery? hay does anyone know how i can connect my computer to a large lantern battery. I already know i have 2 cut the back of the power cable off so i can get the wires and connect it too the battery but which wires go where and i have a crank flashlight i would like to connect it to the batter to charge it is this possible? find where the connections to the Laptop battery is and connect wire to it
use solder and solder it to the battery
it could be quite dangerous tho
