I have a 1911/1911A1 45auto fire arm the gun is a mix match the bottom portion of the gun I believe is a? Colt 45 nickle plated SN# is in the 70,000 range. The top slide is a US&S Co. Blued. Whats it worth? The slide by itself is worth about $200.00 The frame is worth about $400.00. The funny thing is, the complete gun would probably sell for between $600 and $800. If the frame is truly a 1911A1 then the serial number is not correct. If the frame is a 1911, then it was produced in 1913, and it's a pity that it was plated because that took $1000 off it's value.

You might want to check with whoever has this website up.. they seem to be real knowledgeable on the series and would know where any collections related to the series are.
Just a comment.. it is extremely unlikely that they used real guns.

King Arms M4 CQB when I wind up the magazine and fire on semi-auto 1st shot = fine but 2nd no BB comes out...? I have a problem with my King Arms Colt M4 CQB. I just purchased it at uncompany HK and I am having trouble with it. When I wind up the magazine (king arms magazine) on semi-auto and the shoot it works, if I shoot again it doesn't fire any thing. No matter how much I wind it up it does the same. On automatic something similar happens. For or five bullets come out and then I have to wind it again. Please help me solve this issue. How old is this National Arms 5 shot .32 cal? On top of the barrel it sais NATIONAL ARMS N.Y. USA. The serial number is on the bottom of the grip, it's 151676. It's a top break .32, not a "teat fire". It's browned with black checkered grips. Colt bought National Arms of N.Y. in 1870, But this gun looks like the top breaks made in the early 1900s. Any Ideas? National arms of Brooklyn New York, was actually the successor to Moore's patent firearms company taking over in 1865. Colt bought them out as you noted in 1870.
I can only find reference to a few handguns that they offered. One being the .45 Teat fire but it was plainly marked with Brooklyn as the city. It is unknown how many were made, but it is believed that it was less than 30. they also offered the #2 derringer in .41 caliber which Colt later called by the same #2 derringer, and a couple more revolvers and derringers.
I have found a vague reference to a revolver that National made for Smith and Wesson (S&W won a patent infringement suit against National near this time) the revolver featured no back strap, was in .32 caliber, had a 4,5 or 6" octagonal barrel,with a seven shot cylinder,removable ejector rod,barrel and cylinder swin got right to load, but the barrel should be plainly marked " D MOORE PATENT SEPT 18,1860" and some may have "MF'D FOR SMITH&WESSON" on them. Several companies, such as King & Smith and National built some older revolvers for S&W who then did the final work and sold them as smith&wesson. You may have one of these, or maybe a transition revolver from National to Colt. If you can send me a photo, or any further markings etc I can do some more looking. One thing that bothers me, is all of them that I have researched so far, all had either a blued or nickel finish, not brown. Also, is it a square butt or birds head style??

Have you ever wondered why halliurton/parsons/bechtel/kellog won projects in Iraq, bosnia and vietnam? Halliburton/Kellog were awarded jobs in both iraq wars, bosnia (clinton) vietnam without bidding. I would not have worked on the projects along with the rest of the civilians if halliburton would not have been "GIVEN" them. REAL multi-phase projects require surface, route , feasibility, geological, envrionmental SURVEYS that take 2 to 5 years. After a war, the project starts NOW. The company handling the project receives data such as troop locations, equipment depots, mine field locations, locations for training, air strips, etc. You can NOT turn that data over to a company like Technip. Regarding profiteering ? probably. Same thing happend in Bosnia - Clinton era....and do not forget the 7 billion dollar deal Clinton made between the saudis and boeing but I never hear anything about that...then you have LBJ who owned 55 percent of colt fire arms...they built parts for small arms used in Vietnam... Not trying to be cavalier but I will answer your question this way. "Such as it has been, it shall always be". Is it right? No. But that seems to be the new golden rule. He who has the gold, makes the rules. Answer to this? Class warfare? I don't think so. Don't have a solution. :(

fire arm safety concerning bird shot at car windows from inside? I own a Taurus judge (revolver) which chambers both .45 colt and .410 shot shells, In a self defense situation, If I were to fire #4 or #7 1/2 .410 bird shot from my drivers seat at my or the passenger side window (that would be closed) would there be any deflection coming back towards me or would there be a clean hole made Man are you going to be sorry. :) I did snake shot once it went everywhere including me and I still can't hear. I would think the heavier the shot the better.

Has anyone here fired a Bond Arms Derringer? I am interested in buying one in .45 Colt. I would like to know what the sights are like, how accurate they are, how the trigger pull is, how easy/fast they are to reload, and how the general quality is. I've never fired one but have seen a few where i work, they are a close quarters weapon, they're marketed as a snake killer, accuracy is non existant at ranges farther than a few feet, the .45/410 model will shoot 410 shotgun shells which gives you more of a chance of hitting your intended target simply because of the shot pattern(or total lack of one) from such a short barrel. The machining on the Bond derringers is exceptional, the trigger pull from what I understand is anywhere from 8 to 12 pounds!(making it rather difficult to remain on target while pulling the trigger)These pistols are not meant for speed or accuracy, but as a last ditch weapon. They are a little over priced for what they are, a heavy, 2 shot close quarters hand cannon.They still have a coolness factor tho, you'll surely be the 1st on your block to have one.

What are the Laws for Deactivated guns in Britain? I'am a pretty big fan of the old west and wanted to try to get a hold of a deactivated colt schofield and single action army. But I'm aware of the Airsoft laws in Britain and i assumed they applied to deactivated fire arms since they are of similar style. But if not is there some sort of license you can obtain to posses deactivated firearms? You don't need any licence to own de-acs in the UK. Any gun you do buy should also have a certificate of deactivation supplied with it.
Bizarrely it's easier to buy a deactivated firearm than it is an airsoft replica as de-acs can be bought from any registered firearms dealer and sold to just about anyone!

Can i buy a burst fire M16A2 if...? Can i buy a burst fire M16A2 STRAIGHT from the colt arms factory if i have a class 3 firearms license? in other words will they sell just one of there rifles to a civilian who has a class 3 license? (and you CAN own a fully auto / burst fire firearm with a class 3 license) With a Class 3 license, you can legally purchase fully automatic weapons (including burst) from anyone, manufacturers included. However, simply having a class 3 license is not enough. You also must have a police demo letter from a department stating that they would like to see a demonstration of the weapon for possible purchase.
Keep in mind that several major firearm manufacturers will still refuse to sell class 3 weapons to anyone other than police and military. I forget if Colt Firearms is one of them, but you can always contact them and inquire.
