FAQ about Coleman Spotlight

Do you think Dennis Hopper was a racist and died so Gary Coleman wouldn't be in the spotlight? Klansman Hopper was a competitive dude right till the end

Noise Song For Saturday #95 (She Is Dead....and Gone)? This has the distinction of being the second noisiest song on one of the most poorly recorded albums of all-time (which is why I love it to death). Lou Reed, the transvestite love machine, 'sings' about necrophilia, which is not at all shocking when coming from him. The chorus: "I heard her call my name", echoed by the others begins and Mr. Reed recalls his mind being split open...and the fun begins. Dirty, harsh, loud and filthy sounds. Raunchy! This unholy assault on the ears is one of my most enjoyable moments in music. Lou's ego was on the mixer that day, because his demonic guitar drowns out Sterling's rhythm and Mo's beat out almost completely. Now he is in the spotlight. He doesn't give a sh*t about phrasing and perfection; he plays like the illegitimate son of Ornette Coleman, whom I trust you all know. Some of you, though, may prefer the pleasing sounds of Clapton's bluesy lines on Mr. Harrison's song on "The Beatles", but I think I am going to stay on this. It is more fulfilling. http://www.last.fm/music/The+Velvet+Underground/White%2BLight%252FWhite%2BHeat/I+Heard+Her+Call+My+Name So (do not watch the video)...? what a cheerful lightheaded ditty about the joys of necrophilia, you know bands today just don't know how to have this kind of fun.
it is so nice to see you set aside your insufferable musical pretension to give a shout out to someone as obvious as Ornette Coleman the master of free Jazz.. :)
a terrific selection for an afternoon from a lo-fi masterpiece by the VU

How come Obama & Reid's dream act bill has no age limit & offers blanket pardons? DREAM Act lobbyists are spotlighting heart-wrenching stories of high-achieving teens brought to this country when they were toddlers. But instead of arguing for case-by-case dispensations, the protesters want blanket pardons. The broadly-drafted Senate bill would confer benefits on applicants up to age 35 and the House bill contains no age ceiling at all. The academic achievement requirements are minimal. Moreover, illegal aliens who didn’t arrive in the country until they turned 15 – after they laid down significant roots in their home country – would be eligible for DREAM Act benefits and eventual U.S. citizenship. And like past amnesty packages, the Democrat plan is devoid of any concrete eligibility and enforcement mechanisms to deter already-rampant immigration benefit fraud. The DREAM Act sponsors have long fought to sabotage a clearly worded provision in the 1996 Illegal Immigration Reform and Immigrant Responsibility Act (IIRIRA) that states: “Notwithstanding any other provision of law, an alien who is not lawfully present in the United States shall not be eligible on the basis of residence within a State (or a political subdivision) for any postsecondary education benefit unless a citizen or national of the United States is eligible for such a benefit (in no less an amount, duration, and scope) without regard to whether the citizen or national is such a resident.” Ten states defied that federal law and offered DREAM Act-style tuition preference to illegal aliens: California, Illinois, Kansas, Nebraska, New Mexico, New York, Oklahoma, Texas, Utah, and Washington. The last time the DREAM Act champions tried to tack their scheme onto a larger immigration proposal, they snuck in language that would absolve those ten states of their law-breaking by repealing the 1996 law retroactively–and also offering the special path to green cards and citizenship for illegal alien students. Despite the obvious electoral advantage this plan would give Democrats, several pro-illegal alien amnesty Republicans crossed the aisle to support the DREAM Act, including double-talking Sens. John McCain, Richard Lugar, Bob Bennett, Sam Brownback, Norm Coleman, Susan Collins, Larry Craig, Chuck Hagel, Kay Bailey Hutchison, Mel Martinez, Olympia Snowe, and presidential candidate Mike Huckabee (who champions even greater illegal alien student benefits than those proposed by Democrats). After paying lip service to securing the borders, McCain promised DREAM Act demonstrators this week that he supported the bill and would work to “resolve their issues.” http://michellemalkin.com/ It wont pass, its just a political stunt to get the latino vote, they did it in 2008 and they are doing it now.

Does anyone care what Bruce Springsteen thinks? This has been is trying to stay in the spotlight.....it did wonders in 2004. Next let's see what Gary Coleman thinks...... Springsteen sings like he has his balls caught in his throat - I'm sure he doesn't think much differently. He got a little publicity - a has been for a sinking ship.

Do you think that it's a bad thing to have too much too soon? What comes to mind is many of these former child stars; from a very early age their forced into the spotlight and are pushed very very hard and are treated like royalty by others around them. Unfortunately, many don't have a a chance to develop properly as they grow and they usually they have tremendous trouble coping with life as adults (Michael Jackson, Dana Plato, Gary Coleman, Corey Haim, etc come to mind, hence the whole "child star curse" syndrome). Also, I've heard the similar things with some child geniuses; they develop highly up to a certain point and then basically grow up to be more or less emotionally "warped" somehow. Do you feel that in large part these things happen because success comes way too early for them and that they can't hack it later on? What do you think? Anytime you take a child and thrust them into such a Fantasy land it has to have an effect on them
they are young and impressionable and have to cope with sudden wealth, living in a million dollar home a nanny, chauffered every place, tutors, private schools, maids, etc, there egos are constantly being stroked, they become snooty, and above it all, Hollywood is make believe, drinking, drugs, infidelities flying left and right, everyone catering to your every whim, people lying, cheating, cars, men, women its a human Zoo, especially if they come from a hollywood family, it's tough on them cause it's really all they know. Very few have ever really risen above it, as your examples show, sad isn't it?

Question about Proposition 65 "This product contains chemicals that can cause cancer"? I am torn between two flashlights- Coleman LED spotlight OR Cyclops Thor X Sirius. I was leaning towards the Cyclops but Amazon states a Proposition 65 warning. My question is, what is in the product that can cause cancer- if it is a lead battery, don't both product (nearly identical) contain the same potential carcinogens? If so, is it something I should really worry about or can I buy the Cyclops? This is a pointless phrase that can be added to nearly any product.
It may be that there is something that is a tiny internal component that will cause cancer if you ingest it in large quantities - it still gets the warning even if there is no chance of you eating your torch.
Silly warning that makes no distinction between things that are barely possible and other things that are highly likely.

Need help is choosing a good spotlight for walking dogs in the dark? I have been searching the internet now for days in search of a lightweight spotlight or torch so i can see when i walk my dogs in the dark. I usually walk on fields but can be bit dangerous in dark morn/nights. Its not to see the dogs - more of lighting up the field where i walk so i don't fall in many of the holes that's there. I need it to last at least 2hrs and be strong enough to light up a good area. Waterproof and if possible lightweight. The best ive found so far is a Coleman LED equal to approx 1.5 million candle but its heavy at 6 pounds, although its Rechargeable and waterproof. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Have you tried a Maglite at all? They come in various sizes and strengths and are pretty lightweight. http://www.maglite.com/index_flash.asp for details. Available from many places, I'm sure Amazon would sell them too if you liked the look of them. Hope it helps :)

Ott Preserve Time Lapse (April 2011) Sadly, now too much of the Ott is wildness, not protected wilderness. Illicit activities and active management by amateurs and local outdoorsmen cannot stand. There aren t the resources to effectively police the Ott. Hikers, bikers, nature lovers, photographers all play their part to spotlight abuse and misuse. Increased presence is increased preservation. The Ott Preserve is a degrading public park. I go there every other day for hours. Its waste cans overflow with beer cans and trash, its shore line has discarded Coleman propane tanks, and I ve seen discarded condoms in the parking lot. In fact, I was just there a couple days ago and heard loud gunshots, a truck dumping new trash right off the trail and fresh ATV and motorbike tracks.
