Why are Police car emergnecy lights diffetrent on the East Coast adn West? I have noticed that a lot of Police Departments across the East Coast of the United States use Blue lights for their Emergency lights on the Police cars. While on the West were I live we use Blue and Red lights or Solid Red on the light bars. Is there some type of history behind this? Or is that on the East Coast Blue lights are more noticeable than the solid Red or Blue and Reds on the West Coast. Thanks It all varies...depending on the state...and/or jurisdiction...here is an overview of which places in the world use which lights.

Where is a good place for Christmas Lights on the Central Coast NSW? I'm in Wyong on the Central Coast NSW and am looking for an area that has heaps of houses with Christmas lights to take my little kids to see. Anyone know of (or live in) an area where there are some great displays? greenpoint, bateo bay

Are there accelerated sound and lighting classes i can take? I am living in boise and work for a production company. All of our sound and lighting procedures have been self taught as we are a small company. I would like to take some accelerated courses and I am willing to travel but most of what I find online are out of the country. Please let me know if there are courses, preferably on the west coast that would educate me better on sound and lighting for theater applications. Well, I've felt your same dillemma. Most of the classes around me are acting, with a bit of dance or singing, but I'd rather work learn more about tech.
Unfortunately, do to the lack of people interested in technichal theatre and stagecraft, most classes for it are either in college or out of the country.
My advice is to research technichal internships in L.A. (Hollywood has some of the best light and audio designers in the world,) or in Seattle (Seattle was, at one point, a rare hot spot of technichal theatre. I don't know its condition today, but I'd assume it's still better than most of what you'd find in that part of the country)
I've researched it a bit online for you, and you were right to say that there aren't any in the USA. However, if you can find people with connections to people in Hollywood, Disney, or Broadway, you still might be able to find an internship.
Sorry for the lack of information, but that's all I can find or think of.

What is that bright "star" or "planet" lighting up the west coast? Is it Venus or just a bright star in the sky? It is Venus. It is so bright that I saw it easily in broad daylight with no optical aid at all a couple weeks ago when the sky was really clear.

Asians on the west coast any different than the ones in new york? In new york the chinatown is extremely smelly and dirty with rats running around everywhere. Off the Sicilian Coast is there a mysterious virgin of the black rocks that lights up underneath the water? It is that there is a mysterious light that lights up the sea on the same time each year, being the 13 December at approx. 7pm. This mysterious staute is of the virgin Mary holding two small children in each arm. This light is found near a cliff on the Sicilian Coast and only lights up only once a year and the same time each year. I think you are responding to the letter you received in the mail telling you that if you send someone $29, you will be blessed by the Virgin of the Black Rocks, and you will get a reward of $770,000. A fool and their money are soon parted. Do a google search for "Virgin of the Black Rocks" and see how many results you get... as of today, there was 2!!!! I would suggest that the letter is a scam. The person on th eletter I got was from Pia Anderson, who also doesn't exist!!! Save your money!

has anyone ever seen the northern lights from the south coast in the UK? im in worthing in the south coast and just saw the northern lights and was just wondering if anyone else has seen them from the uk in the south? it is quite literally impossible to see the northern lights from the uk south coast, not just because we are way to far away, but also because of the curvature of the earth (because of the earths curvature it means we couldn't see the northern lights from the uk south coast, even with a really really powerful telescope)
There have been meteor showers for the past couple of nights though, as we pass through the trail left by a comet that orbits the sun. Perhaps what you saw was just some fragments entering the atmosphere (or as people like to call them, shooting stars)

What is the average cost to install recessed lighting in the central region/ southern coast? I want to make small changes at a time and I want to start by ading some recessed lighting to 2 bathrooms, a kitchen, and a small living room and entry. Any one have any ideas about how much it would cost? If the installation is easy, then it is quite inexpensive (say approximately $40 a piece including a basic fixture) however, if you have obstructions above your ceiling or other challenges to installing the wiring then the cost moves up from there.

What would be the consequences of trespassing on a US Coast Guard lighthouse? If a civilian were to trespass on US Coast Guard lighthouse or light station, what would they be charged with? Who would sentence them, and with what? (Writing a story- have many lighthouse-related questions.) I know some lighthouses are open to tourists, or are privately owned.
