Why are Police car emergnecy lights diffetrent on the East Coast adn West? I have noticed that a lot of Police Departments across the East Coast of the United States use Blue lights for their Emergency lights on the Police cars. While on the West were I live we use Blue and Red lights or Solid Red on the light bars. Is there some type of history behind this? Or is that on the East Coast Blue lights are more noticeable than the solid Red or Blue and Reds on the West Coast. Thanks It all varies...depending on the state...and/or jurisdiction...here is an overview of which places in the world use which lights.

When looking at satelite images of Florida what is the light blue area off the coast? any ideas? It is shallow water. Go down to the Bahamas and you'll see much more.

Can someone explain / convert Z or Zulu time to East coast / day light savings time? Z/Zulu is the same as GMT. which is artificially creative "ground zero which all other time zones in the world are referenced against, i.e. Zulu or GMT + or - X hours.

Where are there black light paint parties on the west coast? Me and My friend are trying to find one and we live in California. Never hard of one and I live in southern California

In the Coast Guard is there an enlisted rating specificly just for piloting the small light craft? Or Officer? Our Boatswain's Mates (BM) drive our small boats - and they do a fine job of it.
Other ratings may be able to get qualified, but it is exceedingly rare - and there are even fewer commissioned officers that get qualified as coxswains (pronounced, "COX-unz").

Off the Sicilian Coast is there a mysterious virgin of the black rocks that lights up underneath the water? This mysterious staute is of the virgin Mary holding two small children in each arm. A fool and their money are soon parted. Do a google search for "Virgin of the Black Rocks" and see how many results you get... as of today, there was 2!!!! I would suggest that the letter is a scam. The person on th eletter I got was from Pia Anderson, who also doesn't exist!!! Save your money!

How is the swine flu spreading through the U.S. at the speed of light all the way from coast to coast? In two more days, watch and see if it's not in practically EVERY state? Oh, yeah, it's all over European countries, too ... and it SUPPOSEDLY began in Mexico just a couple of days ago. GET REAL!!! Who knows the real story? Captain Falcoln gave a rude answer ... 2004 Cavalier stopped running, coasted, & died. Oil light came on when car started to coast. Won't start now? I added 3 quarts of oil in because I thought I could then drive it to a place to get the oil changed properly (it hasn't been changed since May 2009). But this must be the problem. My car turns over but won't start? Any ideas on what could be wrong? Does the car automatically shut down when the oil is low or old? Sounds more like a broken timing belt.
"Won't start" is pretty vague. It could be hundreds of posibilities.
Dead battery, Low battery, bad ground wire to engine, bad power wire to starter, bad power wire to battery, bad connection at battery post or terminals, blown fuse, bad key switch, bad starter, bad fuel pump, bad injectors, out of gas, neutral safety switch, seized engine, broken connecting rod, no compression, no spark, bad oil pressure switch, broken timing belt, plugged fuel filter, bad starter solenoid, broken rotor, cracked distributor cap, Anti-theft device, water in/on engine, vacuum leak, bad ignition coil, blown computer, faulty cam or crank sensor ...
When you turn the key to START it what happens?
1) Nothing happens? (dead battery?, loose battery cables, or it's not in "park" all the way.)
2) You hear a "click", but nothing else? (loose battery cables, bad starter, bad starter solenoid, or broken engine)
3) You hear the starter turning, but the engine doesn't turn? (low battery voltage, bad starter or bad ring gear on flywheel/flex plate)
4) The starter turns the engine, but the engine won't start up? (out of gas, bad fuel pump, plugged fuel filter, broken timing belt, no spark)
5) The engine turns over, but very slowly. (weak battery, worn starter, out of engine oil)
6) the engine turns, but there's an awful banging noise? (something is broken inside the engine)

Does a nationwide Light rail system as a public works project make sense.? The depression was brought to a close in part by FDR's massive public works projects. I think building coast to coast light rail and bullet trains would provide tens of thousands of jobs to qualified people who have been laid off due to no fault of their own. The greatest part would be that when oil returns to 147 dollars a barrel plus, Americans would no longer be slaves to the foreign countries whom provide most of this countries oil needs. When Oil and Gas run out there will have to be something to take its place, light rail sounds feasible to me.
