What type of light (bulb) is best for growing regular indoor houseplants? I need to get lights for my indoor plants and I'm not sure which type of light (fluorescent / LED ?) would do best. It has to be a regular bulb because I'm having to use clip lamps. Does anyone have advice? Thanks! I recommend you to choose the LED grow light. Can you help me make an LED bicycle light? I want to make an LED bicycle light which will clip or tape to the spokes of my bike and flash when I cycle. It needs to be small and battery powered (obviously) or, even better, self powered by the motion of the bike. The important thing is that it's in the spokes so it goes round and can be seen from the side at night. if it could come on automatically, and switch off after a couple of minutes of inactivity too, that would be great! can someone help me finding the bits i'll need and tell me how to put them together? i don't know anything about electronics, so this will be a learning experience for me, but am happy to solder. preferably stuff will be available on UK websites as that's where I am. If you just want it to blick, Use a FLED, (Flashing LED) also called a blinking LED (these will run for months on one AA battery) . Could use a switch with a weight on the button so as the tire turns the centrifical force will turn it on and goes off when you stop.

I have a small room, with no lighting options. Where can I find decorative clip-on lamps? I have a small room, a tiny window, and a large canopy bed. what size of battery is used in the tinkerbell clip-on light found on some of the drinks in the disney parks? They can be taken apart to replace the battery, and unfortunately my daughter's was lost. It is the small green led tinkerbell light that clipped onto the straw of a drink we bought. My daughter has one of those. It takes a watch type battery but I am not sure of the size. Its a pretty common size, it is also the same size that goes in most laser pointers and that type of stuff.

What is the peak power of Crown amplifier? I have a crown XLS 802 amplifier, 500 RMS watts per channel at 8 ohms. is the peak wattage 1000 watts? and how many watts does the clip LED light up at? does the clip LED light up at peak power? sometimes the peak is not double the RMS, because you can't measure A.C. power the same way as D.C. I know, but as a way to measure I can't find anything, only RMS. thanks. You really only need to know the RMS rating of the amp if you are trying to match it to speakers. The RMS rating of the amp should be the program power rating of the speakers. Good quality professional amps (like Crown) rarely specify a "peak" rating because audio pros don't need that information. If your speakers are rated for under 500 watts program power, you will be ok as long as the peak lights are not lighting often when you are playing the system loudly.
People get way to worried about this whole issue. The bottom line is that it is more dangerous to underpower your DJ or sound system speakers than to overpower them. A underpowered amp will distort sooner for a given volume level and distortion is what damages speakers. The peak lights should rarely light when you are running your system at loud levels. If they are lighting often, you will damage your speakers.

Looking to get a book light but have no idea of which one to get, search engines aren't helpful? I've seen this one online and looks pretty cool might be one of my choices, Robotic LED Clip On Booklight Lamp, but I need to know if there is a certain one I should get. I'll take any recommendations, I just need a general idea of which book lights are bought the most or highly recommended. The best lights use LEDS and standard batteries, not the special flat batteries that are very expensive. I purchased a book reading set from BJs that work great and are very energy efficient and use standard batteries. They also have a clamp and are magnetic, as well as providing a two level light source. If you are on a budget you might consider a cheap bike light in a 99 cent store and figure a way to clamp it on your book. If you do not use LEDS the lights will not last nearly as long.
