I have mostly figured out what tactical vest, BBS, speed loaders, mask, etc. that I'm going to get but I'm still deciding what beginner gun is the best one. I'm willing to spend up to $50 on my first rifle, but would rather spend like $30-$40.I'm an early teenager 12-13 years old, and I would like an Electric airsoft gun that has... 1. Which would you rather have in a home defense situation...? you can ONLY pick one or the either. no suggesting 12g shotguns or 38 special revolvers, etc. a 22lr ruger mark semi auto pistol or a ruger 10/22? *no expensive modifications on the 10/22 allowed! pros for pistol: -highly maneuverable -ability to have a free hand for a flashlight, or to multi task cons: -not as powerful due to shorter barrel -more expensive for some reason if you're going to buy one. pros for carbine -generally carbines are cheaper than pistols for some reason if you're going to buy one. -longer barrel = more velocity = more power. -can be used as a bat! cons: -you pretty much gotta use both hands. I would chose the Double Eagle M83 if I HAD to pick one of these. There are many cons with it though, such as:
- Range is low (50 -75 feet)
- Non upgradable
- FPS low (150-250)
- Very hard to take apart
- Not durable at all
- Magazine only holds 40 rounds
- Scope = Crap
Spend at least $100 when looking for a long term, and quality AEG (Automatic Electric Gun). Jing Gong, Echo 1 and even some CYMA Ak-47's are good choices for beginners. They will perform better and outlast any Double Eagle weapon. Though if you have your heart set on a Double Eagle, their shotguns are better quality then their AEG's.

Seeing the lights side by side at night with brand new batteries, the rayovac is no doubt brighter and has true claims. The guidesman is still a decent light for the price but Its a far cry from 180 lumens, maybe cheap batteries? Doubtful. The beam still casts far but I d prefer the rayovac in the woods because the beam throws far and wide, not far and narrow i like the ability to illuminated a whole tree from 30 50yards.
