Any cheap way to block visible light but not IR? want to use normal flashlight with my night vision cam.? Looking for something to put across a normal cheap flashlight that will block out visible spectrum light but not IR. The goal is to have something that will provide illumination for my night vision camcorder but not be visible to others (unless they also have night vision).

They have hundreds of lights. I have 4 lights, batteries, charger, leds and other miscellaneous parts from them. I'm very satisfied with everything. They have the best prices and free shipping but they ship from Hong Kong which sometimes takes 3 or 4 weeks.
Make sure to read the reviews before buying, some of the stuff isn't worth buying.

Hey i just went to a 2 dollar shop an was looking for a cheap flashlight? I saw one of those 14 led style flashlights and was wondering if they were bright or not and whether 2 dollar shop flashlights are good deals. Yes, they work. "Bright" is a relative term - they are brighter than a candle, but not as bright as a krypton-filled incandescent bulb.
Are they a good deal? I would take along whatever batteries the thing takes, and try it out. If it works, it's a good deal.

About how many lumens are the cheap 9 LED mini flashlights? I bought this performance tool 9 led flashlight for like 2 bucks at advance auto. Its handy but i am thinking about spending ~30 to get a better flashlight that is around 100 lumens. I am just curious to find out about how many lumens this flashlight is to know if it would be that big of an improvement but i cant seem to find information on how many lumens it has anywhere I honestly do not remember very well any more, but this was brought up on CPF. I would say about 35 lumens +5 or -5 lumens. I am not positive since I never use them. I mainly use higher end lights.
Keep in mind that if you buy a flashlight that is LED, and it says it can put out 100 lumens, it will likely not put out 100 lumens. Many China made lights will say 100 lumens, but that is technically incorrect, since that is what the LED is capable of putting out, not what is truly coming out the front. Therefore it could be far less than 100 lumens. Typically if you buy an American made light from companies like Surefire, Muyshondt, Inova, etc. they will have the actual output listed. However, they are not cheap, and I paid a very high cost for my Muyshondt Aeon, which can put out 115 lumens on high, 10 lumens on low, and has amazing battery life for a CR2 battery. It is not the brightest, but it is definitely a very high quality light.
I am not saying that all China made lights are this way, but many of them are. This can go for many lights made in the USA as well as other countries.

Where can I get Flashlights for my choir for cheap? My choir is singing Fireflies this year and I want to use flashlights. I need to get about 100 but don't want to spend a paycheck on them. Anyone know where I can find any? Check Home Depot. They had small flashlights left over from Christmas. You should be able to get these for a dollar or less and I think they have a battery in them. My Home Depot had probably a hundred or more of these left when I saw them the other day. If you don't see them, as the guy working in the tool corral. I think they really over bought on these and you should have no problem finding enough with a stop to one or two Home Depot stores. It also doesn't hurt to ask for a discount, if you're buying 100 of them. A manager is likely to give you 10-20% off to get rid of them, but you have to ask.
