The Five People You Meet in HeavenThe Five People You Meet in HeavenPlot Eddie is a wounded war veteran, an old man who has lived, in his mind, an uninspired life. His job is fixing rides at a seaside amusement park. On his 83rd birthday, a tragic accident kills him, as he tries to save a little girl from a falling cart. He awakes in the afterlife, where he learns that heaven is not a destination. It's a place where your life is explained to you by five people, some of whom you knew, others who may have been strangers. One by one, from childhood to soldier to old age, Eddie's five people revisit their connections to him on earth, illuminating the mysteries of his "meaningless" life, and revealing the haunting secret behind the eternal question: "Why was I here?" His Bright Light: The Story of Nick TrainaHis Bright Light: The Story of Nick Traina"This is the story of an extraordinary boy with a brilliant mind, a heart of gold, and a tortured soul. It is the story of an illness, a fight to live, and a race against death.

I want to share the story, and the pain, the courage, the love, and what I learned in living through it. I want Nick's life to be not only a tender memory for us, but a gift to others. . . . I would like to offer people hope and the realities we lived with. I want to make a difference. My hope is that someone will be able to use what we learned, and save a life with it."—Danielle Steel

From the day he was born, Nick Traina was his mother's joy. By nineteen, he was dead. This is Danielle Steel's powerful, personal story of the son she lost and the lessons she learned during his courageous battle against darkness. Sharing tender, painful memories and Nick's remarkable journals, Steel brings us a haunting duet between a singular young man and the mother who loved him—and a harrowing portrait of a masked killer called manic depression, which afflicts between two and three million Americans.

At once a loving legacy and an unsparing depiction of a devastating illness, Danielle Steel's tribute to her lost son is a gift of life, hope, healing, and understanding to us all.. This piece comes in an organza gift bag with a silver polishing cloth! Perfect for you, or ready for gift giving! *********************************************************** HOW JACK'S JOY COLLECTION STARTED... April 1, 2008 is a day I will never forget. This was the day our three year old son, Jack (pic above), was diagnosed with Juvenile Diabetes. In a heartbeat, my adorable, fun-loving, active little boy's life changed forever. Our carefree, perfect world had been turned upside down. Our days and nights now include up to 10 finger pokes to monitor blood sugar levels for highs and lows, scheduled snacks and meals, and insulin shots with every meal he eats. Every year over 15000 children (40 per day) are diagnosed with diabetes in the United States; often without warning or any family history, as was the case with Jack. Type 1 strikes children suddenly, making them dependent on insulin for life and carries a constant threat of devastating complications. While insulin allows a person to stay alive, it does not cure diabetes. However, continuing research promises a cure is within sight. So, as a Mom of a young diabetic, I have joined with thousands of other Mothers who have made finding a cure their mission in life. The best way to discover a cure is to ensure that there continues to be adequate funding for research. In honor of Jack and the thousands of children living with Juvenile Diabetes, $10 of all sales of "Jack's Joy" pieces will go directly to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. Through it all, Jack has been the sunshine, hope and joy for all of us - always finding the bright spot on the darkest of days with hardly a complaint, and never a fuss – teaching us all to find joy in the unexpected. Jack will always be my adorable, fun-loving, active little guy, and although our life might not be quite as carefree, it is simply perfect.$40

FAQ about Bright Life Foundation

How to move on and rebuild your life? I have always been a naturally light hearted and joyful person. I love life, adventure and I have a good spiritual foundation. But 4 years ago I had my heart broken. I went through a period of grief, followed by a depression. My work suffered. I was in grad school studying a subject I loved with a prestigious scholarship, but after the breakup I couldn't focus anymore. Even after I got over the heart break the stress of not being able to make the deadline for my thesis enabled the depression to continue until it became a chronic condition. I made the decision to leave grad school, as it was unhealthy for me to continue to be in that kind of environment. I gave up my career and my livelihood. I am happy I did it, because the healing began immediately after wards...I traveled, I fell in love again...I began to think about new creative projects and different kinds of work I might do in order to make a new life for myself. Now, I feel great and I am finally at the point where I can look back on everything that happend and marvel at how much I have learned about what is to be human--I have so much compassion and faith. BUT!! I am now 30 years old, bright and well educated, but without the degree I worked so hard for, without any professional training, no letters of reference, and I am totally broke with a large student loan. I need to try to build a career --but I am so far behind, and my resume has so many gaps. I know I am smart and enthusiastic and I have many skills---but I don't look good on paper--certainly not on a resume---(ie unfinished projects, and years without any employment outside of a university setting) How should I address this when applying for jobs? What kind of options do I have? How can I move on from the rubble of a life upset and rebuild again? never is late for learn you are in a god edge, to get a career you never know when you will to need a diploma, so you have enthusiasm, and wishes to have a better education, just do it YES YOU CAN, you can try first with two jobs save money, for 8 months and try to back to scool

Ok, you all inspired me to write a poem. I wrote it today about my life growing up I grew up in total shame. All I had was, my parents to blame. Torn children with no direction The perfect brew for imperfection. The shameful life I had to live Unforgiving world, to a white trash kid. No one can see through my eyes The pain that boils in this heart of mine. Never understood, never taught The real meaning of love was never a thought. Kicked to the curb, like unwanted plague Nothing to give to a white trash kid. Can’t run from hunger, can’t hide from thirst. Life with no foundation, Life at it’s worst. Now that I’m older with kids of my own, What do I do, to change what is sown. A child doesn’t deserve a meaningless life. Love can be shared, lives can be bright. Love with your heart and all you can spare. Give with no thought, what returns will be there. You can make fun as you always did. But, you can’t kill the spirit of this white trash kid. That is a beautiful poem you wrote
it talks about the different emotions
you went through in life.
Judging by the first few lines
You were abandoned by your parents
Struggles because there was no escape,
there was no direction
to help you to understand things like love.
You have kids of your own
show them the love you didn't have when
you were younger.
In other words set an example
be there when they need you.
Love is:
Love is about sharing
as well as to care
Love is teaching right from wrong
Love is about feeling like you belong
Its also about having happiness
Teaching about forgiveness
Love is about showing it
so another person knows what its about.

What's the bright side of this? I have severely flat feet, so flat the three doctors have told me that I need surgery. In two weeks, I will have my left foot cut open, my heel will be broken and a cadaver bone will be inserted into it. I will spend six to eight weeks in a hard cast and wear crutches, another six weeks in a soft cast, and then four weeks of therapy. The next year I will have to go through the same thing with my right foot. This past half year I've had to wear ankle braces on my ankles that go halfway up to my knee. This is supposed to re-align my ankles, but even when I'm wearing them, my ankles still swell up. My ankles, knees, feet, and hips hurt me whenever I walk. I have taken dance lessons for 11 years, and I wanted to be a pointe dancer, but can't because of my feet. I wanted to join the army-also can't do that because of my feet. I am only 15 and the surgeon says I could have limited mobility for the rest of my life after the surgery, and I may never be able to dance again. I know that people have way worse conditions than this-cancer, cystic fibrosis, etc. But they are able to get special treatments such as the Make a Wish Foundation, those parking spots for disabled people, and other things like that. I know that their conditions are way worse than mine, but I have gotten absolutely no sympathy from anyone. What is one good thing that can come out of this? I have cystic fibrosis and I want to let you know that all surgeries are very scary and sometimes you do not feel any different then you did before you had the surgery but I have learned over the years that after a wile the issue that I had before surgery is now gone that is wonderful and the pain in your hips will decrease to a low this would be good.. And as long as you keep working with your feet you still can become a dancer good luck to you my friend

what do you think about my poem? House Of Pain The foundation has been laid, to my house of pain, Nails hammered, tears falls like rain. Walls are built, insulation installed, Windows high, to prevent the fall. Closed are my doors, locks in place, Outside world, I will not face. The inside is secure, no bright painted walls, Unwanted visitors are the cause. Trust tucked in the bottom floor, To let it out, there be no more. Love was once in every room, Now seems burried, battered and bruised. My life is simple, in my house of pain, No more sadness and tears that stain. copywrite 2006 By SLP I Love it !!! Very stirring and emotional. Great Job!!

i'm literally breaking out everywhere, and i'm ready to just give up on life...? okay well i'm 14 years of age and i'm female. i'm your typical teen, a group of girlfriends, and that one special guy friend. earlier last year, i started to steal my sisters foundation because i was developing the occasional pimple in the chin area. i used to sleep with my make-up on because i didn't know any better. then the pimples got worse. i started to develop them on my upper back (bacne), and on my forehead badly, and there were also many visible blackheads on my nose. so i asked my mum if i could buy my own make-up. she agreed, so we went out and bought liquid foundation and baby wipes to remove the make-up nightly. i started to get really oily skin, and the pimples got worse. i was really scared because my friends had incredibly clear skin. not to mention my back, the acne developed all over my back into large red pimples! so i started to google my problems, and realised that there were others out there too. i came to the solution that i needed to buy powder makeup, because i had heard that it absorbs oil quicker. so i went through school daily wearing powder foundation, and taking it off an night with baby wipes, then afterwards moisturising. months later, my skin was getting worse. but all over my body. i started to get hundreds of reddish whiteheads all over chest, my bacne was still worse, and my face was full of acne. my forehead was red and noticeable, my nose was BRIGHT red with whiteheads and deep pimples, and the sides of my nose almost looked infected with the amount of obvious pores. i asked my sister and she said to buy an acne cleanser. with my own money, i decided to purchase the Garnier BlackHead Removal Acne Scrub for my face. it slowly started to work, and i was actually confident for a while. it came to school holidays, so i layed off the make-up completely. its summer over here where i live, and suddenly my acne got even worse!!! huge deep, under the skin pimples developed on my chin, cheeks, and back. i literally would stay up in my room everyday and i actually started to gain weight. i was too afraid to leave my room because i thought my mum and dad would laugh at me :( so i googled my problem and 'apparently' acne scrubs are too rough for my skin. recently, i went out and bought an Acne Deep Cream Cleanser. this is the cleanser that i am using currently. school holidays are coming to an end so i am really worrying on making my appearance look better. about 5 minutes ago i went to take a shower, but i looked at myself in the mirror, just before i hopped it. my back is full of acne right down to my bottom! under both my armpits, i have a huge red pimply rash from the heat! (im playing basketball sooon, so i dont know what to do!!), my chest is covered in deep large pimples, and my face, oh my god. i'm literally crying while typing this, my face is terrible. you probably think i'm just some stupid little 14 year old with one tiny pimple on her nose. but no, my face is covered with them. i'm washing my face about 3 times everyday, i'm showering right after exercise, i'm wearing baggy clothing, i dont have bangs anymore, i tie my hair up, i change my pillowcase a LOT, so i seriously don't know what to do. my skin is always oily and i cant even look at myself in the mirror. i mean, i dont even know why my friends like me! i'm a fucking disaster. please help me, is anyone out there? i've officially hit rock bottom. A lot of people swear by proactive facial cleaner. I've never tried it but I have seen the commercials on tv. You might could google it. Also the foods we eat can sometimes cause more acne, like greasy foods or dark sodas. If you have long hair, try pulling it into a pony tail at night. Also my grandmother always said to eat oatmeal b/c it is good for the skin. I don't know how true that is but oatmeal is good for us anyway so it couldn't hurt. When I hit puberty my acne was bad but it got much better. I know it doesn't seem like it now but it will get better. Your friends like you for you, for who you are. Those are true friends. If you are really upset maybe you should see a dermatologist. I had a friend in school who had to go to one. Now you would never know she ever had a problem. Always remember, its the inside that makes a beautiful person. Don't be so hard on yourself and if this is causing you to be depressed, you need to talk to your parents about it. Don't ever give up on life. It is a gift and you have so much ahead of you. The teen years are tough on everyone but it does get better and one day you will be able to look back and say "wow, look how strong that made me."

i met the most amazing girl ive honestly met in my entire life and yet she doesnt have many friends? :/? i met the most amazing girl at my new school resently she is so beautiful..healthy/slim glowing body, bright blue eyes, natural blonde hair, clear skin (seriously not a single spot on her face, doesnt swear, doesnt do drugs, has a beautiful smile, gets basically all A'S , is very friendly and is the nicest person you will ever meet, she does modelling and in her spare time helps her mum with charity events for the breast caner awarness foundation yet she doesnt have many friends, it doesnt make scense to me? i didnt know girls like her existed everyone has faults its human but she is so genetically blessed she looks like an angel, physically she is beautiful and just as beuatiful on the inside!! words cannot describe OMG would you not like her? and if not tell me why? :) She does sound really nice :)

A conflict deciding what to do with beloved "parent" figures in my life? My real parents brought this couple into our home years ago. they were taken in and given work in trade for a home. They stayed since and become integrated. My parents then died when I was young leaving me to them with a small inheritance. The mother figure always was there as an "energy source" doing what she could for me, providing help with everything. The father figure was a strong force behind her, but was very "behind the scenes". They even brought in others as kind of children that provided "family" relationbships as well that together"illuminated" the home. The resulting family bond provided was somewhat of a bright foundation. The only time they were distant were during "storms" of life, that I responded to wrongly creating the distance. The problem is that now she has grown very weak, in need of constant attention in order to function. the father is pretty much gone with her. They don't accept spirituality. I cannot afford care, will lose my job if I stay and care for them they have no insurance, and no extended family, just me. I am torn because should I proivide them an extended existence since there is no afterlife, or can I be assured that if I let nature take its course, they will be in a better place. PS ...I already have tone of info, websites, support groups, and have had quitte a bit of counseling....I needs opinions of the basic aspect of their end of life status compared to afterlife or non afterlife PS....again, I cannot afford outside help, and have not found any worth much more than letting them die in my basement This sounds like an opportunity. You need to ask God what His will is for you at this very moment and He will guide you. When you ask, go about your business, doing what is right, as though you are totally confident that God heard your prayer and will answer in due season. It may seem like a struggle at first, but persevere and don't give up. Everything will work out, you'll see. I have added my prayers to yours already.

SM Audition and Trainee Life? Ever since I was little I've always wanted to be a performer, whether it was dance, singing, acting or modelling. I was in ballet in the 2nd grade, but I was self-consious then and didn't like my legs, and when they made us take off the tutu I quit because I had a problem with the leotard and I haven't been dancing for 8 years now (Im not self-consious anymore) But, during gym class last year, while we were learning dance, I got the highest score in the entire class, and I know someone of the girls have been dancing since they were 3 (All girls gym class) I personally think I'm a good dancer and singer, and I'm not afraid of audiences, and I want to give auditions a shot. I am not asian, I'm half Chipewyan and half Cree, and I have been mistaken for asian several times (I just got into high school last year and I didn't know anyone, so everyone thought I was an exchange student from Japan) And I go to a Christian church, and they were holding a family-day dance, and you can win awards, I got "Chick of the Night" Meaning, I was the most elegant and prettiest on there, and there were ALOT of gorgeous (asian)girls there and many-many people have suggested I become a model. So here are a few questions I would like to know before I start to get all worked up about it, 1.) Is it better to go to a weekly audition or a global audition? Will a weekly audition increase my chances, even sightly? (Since Global, they see so many different people) 2.) I am not asain, but do you think I might still have a shot at the audition? 3.)IF I pass the first round, will I have to go to South Korea and go to my second round? And I have to pay my own way there, am I right? 4.) Now let's say, IF they accept my and I get into SM Entertainment as a trainee, Is there a possibility that I can finish school? (Since I will be auditioning in March or April of 2012, and I will only be in Grade 10) 5.) Everyone tells me to focus on my studies and forget about trying to get into SM Entertainment because they prioritize Koreans more, and IF I get in, I will be over welmed with stress and just quit anyways and have missed so much school. Do you have any advice to help me cope with their negativity? (I understand what they are saying, and I [some-what] agree, but, I'm willing to take the chance.) 6.) I am still able to audition in LA for their weekly auditions, even if I live in Canada, right? Or should I wait for the Global auditons? Which Is better for someone like me? 7.)I have a very unique style, and it makes me feel comfortable, (I wear bright colours, I like trying out 'different' hair styles, stuff like that) Should I tone down my outfit for the audition? Or should I express myself and wear something I would normally wear to school? 8.) I'm 5'7" and I weigh 120lbs. I'm skinny, and I'm not extremely tanned. Am I too tall? Weigh too much? Too tanned (It's summer, I usually start to lose my tan over the winter anyways, I have to switch foundation during the seasons)? Because People say that SM Entertainment is looking for petite females. 9.) Is there any other Companies that you would suggest for me? 10.)I heard that Sm Entertainment is like a Slave Contract. Is that true? 11.) Could I do what Onew (SHINee) did and pay $____________ a month to train at SM Entertainment? If I could, how much would it cost? WOW, alot of reading TT-TT But, If you could answer my questions, I would love you forever!!!! (: Thank-You!!! ^-^ 1.) Is it better to go to a weekly audition or a global audition? Will a weekly audition increase my chances, even sightly? (Since Global, they see so many different people)
In my opinion, I think it's better to go to a weekly audition. Because there are few people, so you don't get compared as much. In a global audition, they only pick a few. BUT, basically, it doesn't matter.
2.) I am not asain, but do you think I might still have a shot at the audition?
Yeah! Go for it! If you have the talents, and you are pretty, they will probably let it slide.
3.)IF I pass the first round, will I have to go to South Korea and go to my second round? And I have to pay my own way there, am I right?
I think the second audition is in LA. Then the third is in South Korea. But yes, you would have to pay for your own ticket.
4.) Now let's say, IF they accept my and I get into SM Entertainment as a trainee, Is there a possibility that I can finish school? (Since I will be auditioning in March or April of 2012, and I will only be in Grade 10)
Yeah, you would go to a school in Korea though...Because you will be training in Korea. KENT. It's like... A private school. And that is where SM trainees go.
5.) Everyone tells me to focus on my studies and forget about trying to get into SM Entertainment because they prioritize Koreans more, and IF I get in, I will be over welmed with stress and just quit anyways and have missed so much school. Do you have any advice to help me cope with their negativity? (I understand what they are saying, and I [some-what] agree, but, I'm willing to take the chance.)
Hm... Don't listen to them. It's THEIR opinion. They can't control you! And yes, school is important. But if you made it, you could still go to school!
6.) I am still able to audition in LA for their weekly auditions, even if I live in Canada, right? Or should I wait for the Global auditons? Which Is better for someone like me?
Hm... You would have to fly to L.A. But the global auditions may not be in Canada next time. Maybe they will. Idk
7.)I have a very unique style, and it makes me feel comfortable, (I wear bright colours, I like trying out 'different' hair styles, stuff like that) Should I tone down my outfit for the audition? Or should I express myself and wear something I would normally wear to school?
Ah, tricky question... Yes! Wear whatever you think is comfortable. They might like your unique style, and think you stand out. :)
Any really, but JYP, or Cube Ent... JYPE... Any? Maybe try something with email auditions.
10.)I heard that Sm Entertainment is like a Slave Contract. Is that true?
USED to be true. But they got rid of them. :)
11.) Could I do what Onew (SHINee) did and pay $____________ a month to train at SM Entertainment? If I could, how much would it cost?
Hm... I never heard about that. So Idk...

If I want to change/improve just about every aspect of my life, what's the best way to go about it? A little background, I'm a male, 35, married with a 3 yr old son. I'm employed and live in a large city. Here's the deal, I don't like where I'm at in life. I want a new job, a new body, better relationships with my friends and family. I want to feel better physically, I want to feel sharper mentally. I want more income, less debt and a more secure future with a brighter outlook. Although it may seem like it, I'm not trying to say I want it all, I just want it better than it is now. I just don't know where to start. Do I take some classes and seek better employment first? Do I start eating right and take up yoga first? Do I pinch every penny I have and pay off my bills first? Do I make more of an effort to reconnect with my wife and work on strengthening our family foundation first? I just don't know. The thing is there's nothing particularly wrong with my life now other than it's your ordinary, run of the mill, take the trash out on Tuesday kind of deal but I've grown weary of it. I want to learn a different language, I want to take piano lessons, I want to look and feel better, I want to be more successful. The trouble with me is I wish I could make all these changes overnight and with minimal effort. I know that can't happen so I'm stuck on what direction to go in first. Do all these things have a common thread? If I start working them in the right order, will the others seem to fall into place or be easier to accomplish? Lots of questions, I know. Just looking for some answers/opinions. Feel free to ask me anything additional if it will help you form your reposnse. Thanks in advance.

Introduction to NPUST PART1 Since her founding in 1924, National Pingtung University of Science and Technology (NPUST) has evolved from a small, agricultural institute, progressing through all of the hardworking successive presidents, teachers, students and staffs, to become a university that is nationally and internationally recognized for its gorgeous campus located at the piedmont of lofty Mount Da Wu. Reputation cannot be achieved based on a long history. Yet, history can be gained by civilization. Tender grass pastures and fruit laden gardens indicate an apparent bumper harvest for the year underway. Bright illumination on campus all night represents the devotion of diligent faculty and hard working students. The rosy dawn of the Lover s Mound is as exceptionally beautiful as the sunset scenery. Every sunrise over the Northern Mountain Da Wu is the symbol of life and growth in nature. These are the favorable impressions of NPUST on people. NPUST is located in the south of the nation and owns the largest and the most beautiful campus in the country. NPUST has been developed from the Agricultural Extension School to the University of Science and Technology from the former urban Pingtung campus, small and filled with humanism, to the new Lao Pi campus, boundless and filled with green. A quiet and elegant environment, well organized campus and buildings, and lovely scenery are the accumulation of the quintessential intelligence from successive generations of this past century. We are grateful

Dare to be bold: Graffiti Eyes PLEASE READ Okay so here s the deal, I NEVER look at my makeup collection and say Boring . One that s just not me and two I am pretty sure that s blasphemy BUT it would be a lie if I said I haven t felt I needed to add a little something to my everyday look. You can never go wrong with a simple smokey eye or bold lips but I wanted something different. Something that was bold but also subtle enough to wear outside and not scare the neighbors. Inspired by some Graffiti that I spotted walking around the city I came up with this look. Not exactly a daytime look I know, but here is the thing the beauty of makeup is that it comes off at the end of the day. If you find this look too bold change it to better suit you. Despite what some people try to tell you there are no rules just let go and have fun, you d be surprised what a simple change to your makeup routine can do for your social life. I wore this look the other night while out with friends and not only were there compliments but questions on how to do it as well, from STRANGERS! A few mentioned that it was a bit much for them which is okay. Everyone has their own style and as long as they aren t jerks about it who cares. If you try it let me know how it goes : ) Until next time..LATERZ!!
