Gun Video "Complete Beretta 92FS" DVDThe original Beretta pistol was manufactured in Italy in the early 1970s. This DVD which touches on the FS model, covers extensive information on the disassembly and assembly of the Beretta 92FS. Released in 2007. 40 Mins. Technical InformationHost/Producer: Lenny Magill productions Date Released: 2007 Running Time: 40 minutes Summary of Material: The Beretta 92SB-F, 92FS, 92G and 92FS Inox are a series of semi-automatic, locked-breech delayed recoil operated, double or single action pistols chambered for the 9mm Parabellum cartridge, designed and manufactured by Beretta. The Beretta 96 is the .40 caliber version of this same gun. Fabbrica d'Armi Pietro Beretta is a major Italian gun manufacturing company. Its weapons are used extensively by civilians, police and militaries around the world. Beretta is among the world's oldest corporations, and has been owned by the same family for nearly 500 years. The Beretta company was established historically in 1526, when gunsmith Mastro Bartolomeo Beretta, of Gardone, received 296 ducats as payment for 185 firearms sold to the Arsenal of Venice. The paperwork for that order still exists today in the company's archives. In 1985, Beretta was chosen during a controversial selection process to produce the M9 9mm Parabellum sidearm for the United States military, winning a contract for 500000 units. There have been many follow-up orders. A condition of the original agreement was that US military pistols be manufactured domestically. The Beretta USA plant in Accokeek, Maryland makes finished pistols from raw materials for the military, law enforcement, and civilian markets. In this program you will learn complete disassembly and reassembly of the Beretta 92 Series of handguns. You?ll be able to follow step-by-step procedures and learn nomenclature for all parts and how they function in the assembled handgun. Watch and enjoy this easy to follow information that will help make you an expert with the Beretta 92FS. 40 minutes in length, full color, professional production. Notes:$25.99

Beretta 92fs vs Sig Sauer p226? I went to the range, and shot a Sig p220 in .45 and shot accurately with it. I got to thinking I would like to have one in 9mm because of cost of ammo. I can always go +p ammunition instead of .45. I don't like the p229 because I tend to like bigger firearms. I thought about the p250 also. I was thinking about the 92fs because of it being a combat handgun. Should I spend the extra pesos for the sig or get the beretta?
I've owned the Beretta. My brother owns the Sig. I've shot both.
Both are outstanding handguns!
Here's the differences:
1. Sig costs more!
2. The SIG is lighter. The Beretta is one heavy handgun, for a 9mm.
3. The Beretta has a big grip that makes it uncomfortable for some to shoot. I never thought of myself as having small hands until I owned the Beretta and realized I was constantly shifting my grip to reach the trigger.
4. Style. I personally think the Beretta is very cool looking. Other's would be drawn to the SIG.
Glock 17A or Beretta 92FS? After a lengthy process I'm now close to finally getting my handgun licence. Due to heavy restrictions in Australia, I have a fairly limited choice, but I do want a semi automatic handgun.
I've used a .38 S&W in training, as well as a Glock 26, but that is the limit of my experience with handguns due to idiotic gun laws. I'm looking forward to being able to pick up my first handgun, and am looking at my options (due to a req. that a barrel must be longer than 120mm, and that it can't be anything over a .38, my choice is heavily restricted).
I like the look of the Glock 17A, and the Beretta 92FS, and would like to know whether you think makes the better handgun and why? Please remember that I can't use this in self defence, or CCW as Australians don't have any rights in regards to self defence.
If you have another suggestion of handgun, semi auto, that is legal in Australia please let me know what it is and why.
Just as a note for you guys, on top of the minimum barrel length requirement, the maxamim mag capacity is ten rounds.
The Glock will give you years of safe, reliable operation. I currently have two Glocks in the safe, a 2nd gen G17,and a 3rd gen G20. I love them both, and there is absolutely nothing bad I can say about them.
Rather than a Beretta, you should look into the option of a Taurus 92AFS. They are typically $200 cheaper than the Beretta. The stainless construction will outlast conventional blued finishes. And Im not sure of magazine requirements/restrictions in Austrailia, but I have 3-15 round mags and a 30 round mag.
My first gun puchase was the Taurus, but I went into the store wanting the Beretta. After 5 minutes of conversation with Jess, the owner, I was filling out the NICS paperwork for the Taurus.
Taurus has a lifetime warranty, they will fix any part that breaks or malfunctions. Some people will argue that Taurus is a low quality gun. Those people either owned an 80's model Taurus, or have never handled one made in the last 15 years.
I have put 13,000+ rounds through mine, and the only malfuntcions were with Ultramax remanucfactured ammo.
I have run subsonic to full pressure loads, commercial and handloads, and This gun will eat antyhing you give it.
It is definately the most accurate semi-auto I own. I have used it to kill deer, hit a target at 175 yards, and score numerous perfects at LE qualifications.
The 120mm designation requires a 4.72" barrel.
*4BRAIN....there's only 1 HK model in 9mm that fits the bill, the USP Tactical, with its 4.78" barrel
*WILLIAM...the SIG 226 only has a 4.4" barrel
The thumbsdown make me giggle! Seriously are you that upset that I contradicted your wrong answer?
How to possess a handgun in Ohio? I am 18 and it seems that I can't purchase a handgun in Ohio, but if I am interpreting the laws correctly, then there is no law stating anything about "underage" ownership. I really want to own a handgun, I just moved to Cincinnati and I have already met people that have had their houses robbed. I am a very independent young man and it would be great if someone could further inform me of the laws dealing with handguns.
One more thing my choices have come down to the following handguns:
-Beretta 92fs
-M1911
-SW 1911
- undecided GLOCK models.
If you have any recommendations of a handgun that I should purchase, please advise me.
Thank you very much.
Ohio
You can't legally. Under Ohio law, anyone who furnishes a person under 21 with a handgun is committing a crime.
What is the Price of a 92FS Handgun? I've seen MSRP on beretta.com. What can I expect to pay for a new handgun at a major retailer such as Sportsman's Warehouse? Their usual retail is $650.00 + tax on a basic 92FS, and the 92FS Innox is usually in the $750 dollar range. The difference is the finish. The Innox uses stainless steel, and I believe the basic black model uses carbon steel forging.
What handgun do you recommend? I've been to a shooting range and shot a 9mm beretta 92FS, and I think I need a handgun with more stopping power, but also one that can fire as faster as the beretta. I'm only familiar with beretta handguns, so I don't really know many options, I've been considering Glock and such... Also what is a bigger bullet size that you recommend? No revolvers or elephant killers please.
What handgun do I recommend for you???
To be honest I suggest you spend more time at the range and try to shoot as many different ones as you can get your hands on...
My daily carry is a Ruger P944 in .40 S&W see here
http://www.flickr.com/photos/64317740@N00/4405575539/
I bet my Life every day on this sidearm but I don't recommend something like mine
unless your going to get some serious training in its use
PS stay away from all third Gen Glocks they have well documented failure to feed problems... now that will get you killed
I'm looking for a 9MM handgun I like the Beretta 92fs/m9. What do these guns go for? What is a good deal? 450-600 $
Good name for a handgun? You see I've been writing a story lately, and I've been at a standstill. The main character is a Lycan who's most prized possession is his Handgun, a Beretta 92fs. I am looking for a name that would suit the handgun not depending on the type of gun it is, but what the wielder is, which is a Lycan. if you find any good ideas, don't hesitate to tell ! :-)
Check this out, it's pretty awesome. http://www.20000-names.com/wolf_names.htm
Personally, I like Zev. Has a nice ring to it. But alot of these names are pretty badass as well.
is $450 a good buy on a beretta 92fs inox 9mm handgun? it also comes with a hard plastic case, 3 15 round mags and 150 rounds of ammo Yes. Most used and in good condition 92's go for around $500.00. The Inox is usually more and you are getting extra mags and roughly 30-50 buck worth of ammo.
Beretta 87 ---> Beretta 92FS ---> M9? As the title (hopefully) suggested I am looking for a natural progression to the Beretta M9.
My ROTC unit will be sponsoring cadets in an event next year where marksmanship, and familiarity with the M9 is key. (Plus this is the handgun I will have to qualify with when I commission.)
Naturally the 92FS is the logical choice as far as a civilian counterpart to train with. However, as I will be a first time gun owner, I wanted to start with something smaller, and cheaper to fire.
Is the Beretta 87 (not necessarily the 87 Target) a good choice for someone intending to move on to the 92FS and then the M9?
Aside from the training bit, are both the 87 and the 92FS solid handguns that I will not regret purchasing? How are they price wise?
Not quite as important (as I'll have to use the M9 anyway) but I have smaller hands for a guy. How is the grip on the 92FS? A good size? Or, large by 9mm standards?
Any insight you gun guru's can shed would be incredibly helpful. If it looks like I'm on the wrong train of thought here, please feel free to step in and correct me.
Thanks in advance.
The Beretta 87 evolved from the Beretta 84 series, which evolved from the Beretta 1951...as did the Beretta 92.
Hence you can look at the 84 and 92 as 'brothers' and the 87 as a 'nephew'
The grip of the 87 will be most similar to the 84, which is more similar to Browning BDA grip than a Beretta 92F grip.
However, you are wasting your time worrying about finding a 22LR that has a grip similar to the 92F.
Shooting is about eyeballs, sights, and triggers. It doesn't matter what handgun you learn sight picture and trigger control on, it will translate to them all. The degree of translation is much more related to the quality and similarity of sights plus trigger travel length and crispness than it is grip feel.
Go forth and shoot in volume, with both eyes open, perfecting your sight picture with WHATEVER 22LR of decent quality you choose. It doesn't matter if it is a Beretta 87, a Browning Buckmark, a Ruger Mark 3, Walther 10, Smith and Wesson 41, etc etc
I would recommend staying away from the Walther P22 though, it 'looks cool' but other than that is just okay, not target grade no matter how much target stuff they try and hang from it.
OH, final note, the Beretta 87 has a very different manual of arms than most semiautos. You are supposed to work the slide from BELOW, by reaching under and in front of the trigger guard with thumb and forefinger to work the slide. Of course the Buckmark and the Ruger don't have slides that operate like a conventional modern combat handgun either
How much is Beretta 92FS United We Stand handgun worth? It was left to me by my late Father-in-law. Never been fired. MINT condition. only 2001 of these were ever made. Has "United We Stand" on the side of it. I just was wondering what something like that was worth.
I also received a K98 with a stamped date of 1934. (Any Itea what that is worth?)
The Beretta is worth $625-$750. Keep it's original box and don't fire it.
The Mauser is a little more difficult to evaluate. They were made by a number of companies and the variations are to many to list. You would need to post pics and close ups of any markings or inscriptions.
The one thing I can tell you is that it is a very early gun. Thet are deemed more desireable by collectors. In good condition if a common variety I would say it's worth atleast $500. Maybe a lot more but with no pics I can't tell.
