Benelli M2 or Benelli Vinci? i am looking for a new auto loader shotgun and have narrowed it down to the Benelli Vinci and the M2. I will be shooting probably 1-3000 trap loads out of it a year and will be going on a few duck hunting trips in the fall, i want to have as little as possible muzzle climb and little recoil(i am 13 and can handle heavy duck loads but they are a little unpleasant so softer recoil would be a plus) i want it to be able to cycle fast as well, if there are other shotguns out there that you would also recommend checking out please mention them. maximum price: $1,400 but hoping for lower than that. -Sam Age 13

Benelli M2 vs Benelli M2 American? What are the differences between the Benelli M2 and the Benelli M2 American? Are the essentially the same gun (internal mechanisms and features as well as exterior design and feel)? From my understanding its a less expensive copy of the M2 Field - using some cosmetic differences to hold the price down. Mechanically it is supposed to be the same as an M2 Field.

What's the Difference between the Benelli Super black Eagle 2 and the Benelli M2 Comfortec? As they look like the same on the exterior and on their website they both say they cut recoil, faster shots inbetween cartridge change etc? If I remember correctly, the only difference between the SBE II and the M2 is that the SBE II can shoot 3 1/2" down to 2 3/4" shells where the M2 only shoots 3" or 2 3/4". Everything else should be pretty much the same.

questions on benelli m2 field? I just bought a used benelli m2 field in matte black for 825$. I was wondering if I had gotten a good deal or not and if this is a quality shotgun because Im really not used to the new inertia driven mechanism. Also Im kinda confused and do not know how to take the reciever apart. And would like a video or instructions to do so. They are a very good gun. Read the manual for stripping procedure. It's in a few languages so a bit confusing. Strip procedure starts at page 60 but read the whole thing.
Theres a cool trick the m2 can do but it's not shown in the manual. Load the mag and pull the bolt back about 1". Grab a shell and put it in the receiver with the brass pointing out the side (So the barrel and the shell make an L shape) Make sense? Good. Hold the gun so the brass end is pointing up, then quickly pull the cocking handle back and let it go. The shell should flick 'round so it loads straight away. This is a cool feature as every one can see your safe and unloaded but you can shoot in an instant. Practice at a range or safe area before trying it in the field.

$850: Good deal on a used 12 gauge Benelli M2 American? I'm looking at a used 12 gauge Benelli M2 American with extended magazine tube for $850. In Very Good to Excellent condition. Good deal? I think that's a fair deal. Not great, not bad, but fair or the market value.
$700 - 750 would be a good deal. $600 - $650 would be a very good deal.

I still use my old HK marked m1 field, great shotguns.
if your going to be hard on the gun and it might get beat up go with the camo, the walnut will be a bit heaiver and will swing better.

Is it worth buying the comfortech stock benelli m2 over the m2 american? I am concerned that the m2 American will kick a lot harder than the more expensive model

Can unrifled slugs be fired in a Benelli M2 26" barrell shotgun safely, and with which chokes? I wonder if the slugs would be safe with the interchangeable chokes. I didnt think you could use rifled slugs at all in this gun. True or false? The best chokes for slugs is open and Improved Cylinder. If you want longer range shots they do make rifled chokes too. However I would suggest spending the extra few cents and getting rifled slugs. Why? Because if you want to use it for self defense too then you can fire a rifled slug and buck shot back to back without sacrificing accuracy or wear and tear on the choke rifling.
I know that is what a lot of peace officers use. But with 18-20 inch barrels.
Personally I made a good shot on a wild boar using a Mossberg 870 pump shotgun and rifled slugs. Dropped him like a sack of bricks at over 75 yards.

Beretta xtrema2 VS. Benelli M2 inertia driven? Just looking for opinions on both. My neighboor is trying to decide on which one to get. Im looking for a good deal on the beretta xtrema 2 for myself. All the help is greatly appreciated. well my opinion is the benelli but both are great guns.
