I need a little insight into the vacuum system for the headlight covers on the 73 Continental.? I got a 1973 Continental. Had it for a while and it's awsome. Nothing like driving a land Yacht in a world of dingies. But My baby need some love. she losing her bells and whistles. Well just to list a few. The pwr seats in frnt are dead. Pwr lock are giving out and the pwr windows are going too. I can deal with engine issues but the interior stuff has me at a disadvantage. I was looking for some one to point in the right direction. Any help lil or big. If they aren't working you need new motors or pumps depend on model. You might want to get new door locks. You also might check your headlight vacuum lines, if they close over the lights.

kenne bell supercharger? I've got a 99 Silverado with 5.3l I've done A LOT of work to the truck with the exception of any engine work. I've lowered the truck 5" in the front 6" in the rear, tinted headlights and tailights, fiberglass low profile bed cover, 20" ION wheels, cat back exhaust, ect... So the engine has 210,000 trouble free miles on it now, but it's really time for a rebuild as it's starting to burn a little oil about a quart every 2 weeks. I dropped my truck off at the shop today for them to rebuild the long block. so here comes the question. How well are kenne bell superchargers built compared to whipple? I've decided on going with a twin screw supercharger and talked to both companies and while neither offers a direct kit for the truck they offer it for the engine. It seems to me that whipple is more common on the GM side of applications while Kenne Bell is more on the Ford side. So which has the leg up? Your missing another great brand of twin screw (lysholm) supercharger.. Vortech makes a VTS series twin screw that i've had a little hands on experience with and it's awesome.. Your right kenne bell is more geared toward for installations, with your truck i'd go with something that is meant for that purpose. with kenne bell your buying their corvette kit and modifying it to fit to your truck which isn't hard since the motors are nearly identical
The vortech VTS is going to run around the mid $5,000 range, but the greatest thing is the air to water intercooler that is part of the manifold.. they are advertised on stock 5.3l truck and suv applications of producing 420+hp at the flywheel with the standard 3.8" pulley.. with your lower than normal compression you could run a smaller pulley for more boost

Lenscrafters lied about what lense they put in? I just got these $300 glasses at Lenscrafters, with suppositly their "Featherwates Complete" lenses, which offer all the bells and whistles, including anti glare and anti reflection for night driving , which is my main purpose. I noticed immediatly that there is no difference between oncoming headlights with these on or off....is it possible they didn't use the lenses they charged me for? I called them and they said to "come in"....wtf how would I even be able to tell, all i see is oncoming headlights as usual If you can't tell the difference between having lenses on and off it means the antireflective coating is working excellently!!!!
Normally without the coating you get all sorts of reflections such that headlights look much much WORSE than without the glasses.
The coating isn't designed to give you supervision...its designed to make your vision through glasses more similar to that without.

Is there a way to turn down the volume on the safety/warning chime in my car? I had a car stereo installed. Now the warning bell is extremely loud. This is the bell that alarms you when the keys were left in the ignition or you left your headlights on etc.... Thanks for the idea Mike but the sound is comming through my speakers.

A cop today stopped me over cause I bumped a pylon and had no headlights and bell on my bike.? He warned me that I could get a 350$ ticket. Like wtf seriously! There is probably a million bikers just in toronto who don't use headlights or have a bell, (arent those for girls anyways?) It wasn't exactly pitch dark and I was biking on the sidewalk. By the way this cop sounded like a spokeman for lee kum gai curry commercials, thats how bad his english was. He told me to stay put, I didn't understand him cause of his bad english and he had his head turned away from me then threw that alll-important bs at me really a newb cop here. Your headlights would be an equipment violation, get a headlight ( a flashlight duct taped to the front will work) and bell, get the ticket signed by a police officer. Bingo-bango done, that is if you got a citation, as for his mastery of the English language he obviously met the requirements for that municipality.

how much headlight fluid in a 67 ford las camino & the position of the backhand woblershaft bushings? i bought it and they said they thought the woblershaft bushings were out of time because they kept ringing like a gong. i have a spare tire connecting jiggler vaulve for sale if anyone needs one. i am also good at troubleshooting the 57 pontiac swiftpimphand if u need help. also do u kno if the cattle crystal converter rings ar good if they ring like a cow bell? You might want to check the Zorbin.It will make the same sound as the woblershaft bushings and will cause the automatic thingamajig to malfunction. I do need a spare tire connecting jiggler vaulve for my 65 Buick Roadrunner,but it must be a 7 sided one. And yes that is what the ccc rings are supposed to sound like. My friend has a 58 Pontiac swiftimphand 3 door coupe,and it has a rattle in the carbon housing. Is it the same as your 57?

Oldsmobile Alero New Stereo Turns Off After Ignition Started? I replaced my factory stereo in my oldsmobile Alero 2004 with an aftermarket stereo. I used the wiring harness adapter which allows for the safety bells to run and the stereo works just fine when the vehicle is turned to ACC. however, as soon as I turn the key to ON or when I turn the headlights on the radio turns off. I checked my ground wire and it appears to be attached correctly. Any other solutions?

why does 2001 ford windstar bells continue to ring when headlights are on ? driving me crazy it doesnt stop when lights are on if your saying that when car is running and you turn headlites on bell continues to ring, that means computer is probably missing the engine running input and thinks you left lites on with engine off. Have dealer fix it for you OR get service manual which will list these inputs for you to check.
